That woman in the pub, was a storehouse of knowledge about the town of Chloride, maybe she should run for mayor!
I agree!
For viewers who want to visit Chloride townsite, it is directly between Kingman and Las Vegas on a paved road FOUR (plus a block or two) miles off of Highway 93. Watch out for cows wandering on roads--it is open range even in the townsite.
Thank you for your generous shout-out, Miss Sarah. It was an honor to appear on your terrific channel. ❤ RBCoff-gridAZ
It was so nice to meet you!
@@wanderingjeepsy 🥰
This was a living history lesson. Its so interesting to see places like this. Wherever you go you manage to bring joy to the people you meet. You sure made that woman's day! Keep spreading the joy! Travel safe-God Bless.
Great interview. You found the perfect person to speak on the history of the town. And, as usual, you let them speak. You’re a great listener.
Sarah, totally agree about your view of small towns. Cool seeing you have the lady give a shout out to her channel. Thanks for the excellent video. :)
...everyone would love to run into you , Jeepsy ❤🎉😊
Please don't stop doing what you do.
A really nice mellow mood piece. Very enjoyable!.
Love you SARAH You always make your videos so interesting and so historical stay safe head on swivel❤
This is why I love watching your channel. I get to see so many amazing and interesting content. Watching from Birmingham Alabama. 💙👍🏼
You keep finding these little nuggets that are interesting and charming. I might have to hire you as my tour guide someday. That gal at the tavern was very knowledgeable and forthcoming with the history. BTW the background music you use is so perfect. It has become like your trademark.
Thank you!
Cassie's knowledge of the history of her town was impressive! Thanks for sharing that! Have a good day!
That was great, thanks for the tour;; that road didn’t look that bad😂🤩😎⭐️
What a nice little town, I could live there and be content. That was a neat area behind the motel with the small water way you filmed, thank you, you did a good job filming another place, it's better than 3 years ago when we started giving you 👍. 3 years already!!✌️✌️
That town is very interesting, and the history about it , I love stuff like this. You should get a cowboy hat and sherif badge for lil one and stand on porch of the jail 😅
I love your eyes when you smile ❤😊
Sounds sexist, Trek, but ya spot on. There's a "knowing glisten" to them, and the smile speaks plenty !
@@blackbob3358 I hope not. Maybe I should have included the word "especially".
WOW! You found a very knowledgeable person to talk about the town’s history!
Hi Sarah, Thanks for the travel log. Lots of old towns in Arizona.
Your travels are amazing . Your videos are amazing . Your life is amazing . & So are you . Thanx for sharing all that you do .
Stopped there on my way back to Canada about 10 years ago
Fascinating little place
That jail is pretty nice -- it'd be a good getaway for a writer-in-residence.
Great explore 🌹 love the old car out front. Awesome little town and restaurant/hotel. Amazing rock paintings.
Well I see you got your jeep all washed up clean again
Cool so much to learn about Arizona. Thanks looking forward to meet you again
Hi Sarah, I’m a new fan. I have lived in Arizona all my life and had no idea. It’s amazingly enjoyable to vicariously explore these places with you. Thank you!
Many Thanks 🙏 for Sharing ❤
Thanks for the great tour and history lesson. As a newcomer to Arizona, I enjoy learning about the many interesting places to explore.
love your content Sarah. keep exploring!
It looks like you found the right local, very informative and interesting.
So cool! Little towns are the best. Thanks for sharing, Sarah!
I just arrived in Arizona today! Something new for me to check out!
I lived there for a few years,i could get gold and silver out of the dirt around the driveway of the trailer court...cool little town . Yes
Love that town!
Very interesting ,awesome video, you really captured small town Arizona.
Thanks for your journey to Chloride, Az. You find the coolest places. Give Tiny one a hug for me.
What an interesting place. Passed by many times, but never visited. Wow! The colors painted on the rocks are really vibrant.
Smart decision not to pursue solo rock crawling! Sure miss rural Arizona. Thanks for another scenic video, WJ.
Amen to the 'small towns' and sweet video. I recently found your channel and follow a few 'van-life' folks. I used to go off-road overlanding with my boys & it was some of the best times of my entire life. There's nothing I love more than my kids. But, after my youngest went to heaven two years ago, we no longer go. I want to get back into it solo, drive a Jeep Wrangler (for many years) and so I look for nomads in Jeeps to see how they do. Long story, thanks for listening. You are lovely, kind and I wish you all good & beautiful things~
Sarah, out of all the videos I’ve watched of your travels this one hits closest to home. 😊
I am the proud father of a son with Autism! Chloride has always been on my bucket list and now it is for sure! Thanks as always for sharing your travels with us and I am going to re-watch this one with my pride and joy Austin! 😊❤️
May god continue to watch over you and bless you abundantly and know that you have two friends on Marylands Eastern Shore. 😊❤️
Very interesting. Sounds like you met the perfect person to tell of the history of the area. I'm sure it never ceases to amaze you when you go somewhere out in the middle of nowhere and people recognize you. I gotta admit I was a little "star struck" when I ran into you. Safe travels.
Hello again Sarah. Really neat town and area. It was great you met up with a few of the locals. The paintings look very nice. Safe travels to you and little one.
Great video! You’re right, little towns are so interesting and are part of the history of our country.
Thank you for this video. My ex’s parents lived in Chloride for several years before they passed. Such a quaint little town. Haven’t been there in about 30 years. Glad it hasn’t changed.
That's just a 3 hour drive for me- can't wait to take a quick trip.
Your across the valley from me..Great lil restaurant bar come back for the St.Patricks day parade💚
The rocks are awesome thanks for sharing them with us and it’s good to see no one has graffitied over the artwork
What a great location to explore. Thanks for taking us along!
Great little mining town. Sounds like the town i currently live in except it is 5 time the size. Have a lot of native American history in my area which really intrigues my interest on all the history of the Lakota and Cheyenne tribes that called it home. Keep them beautiful pictures and videos coming Sarah and take you time getting them. Safe travels for you and little one 😊
Windy Point is a great camping area close to there. If you keep going past the murals you can get there- or come up the other side off of 93, right at Grasshopper Junction-that road is easier but a bit rough towards the top, the road past the murals you keep could do.
I love your travels in Arizona. I learned a lot of new interesting stuff about my own state watching your vids.
loved this video you are great
Thankyou Sarah I loved this tour and the oral history is a wonderful way to learn
If I was in the area I definitely would have went up the rocky road with our jeeps , I do a lot of one person off-roading and it’s a legit concern being alone, I’ve been planning on seeing the painted rock the next time I’m heading west .
Have fun and stay safe!

The old relics and equipment are interesting. Gas prices on those old pumps must be amazing. Great out of the way places! 😎
Thanks for the tour. I have driven past this town and always wondered about this little town.
Having watched most of your videos, i gotta say... you sure have worked hard to share your story and journey. You make it look easy but i imagine it is really hard and time consuming. Thanks for the effort.
Nice exploring chloeide great desert view
I'm from Vegas also and I'm so sorry your jeep is in for repairs. If you need a place to park and recharge, my driveway is available to you. Little dog is welcome to roam around in my safe backyardb with a few fur babies 💖. I have made your chicken, mushroom & broccoli with ramen noodles. I love your videos and your healthy cooking is amazing! ❤
Thank you!
What an interesting small town.
Thank you for the tour.
Cheers!
Thanks!
DUDE YOUR LOOKING WAY HEALed and well that is cool hash browns
Cool
I’ve got to check it out some day. Have a blessed day 😊
You made it to the painted rocks!
If you go to Kingman there is a good Thai restaurant on Andy Devine called Bangkok Thai. Don’t forget their Thai tea👍
Oh and you’re not far from Oatman which has Burro’s roaming freely. On the way looking over the edge you can see cars at the bottom of a cliff. Also there is water running down the rock wall where someone made a cement bowl where they may have goldfish
great video
Thank you Russ! 🙂🙂
Chloride is a wonderful area to visit. Thank you for sharing. Everyone stay safe, warm, happy and healthy. From Henrico County Virginia
What an interesting tour! ...thanks for sharing the journey to Chloride and loved hearing some of the history from Cassie ...it's awesome to see subscribers recognizing you when out-n-about and wanting to meet you (and Lil One, of course! 🤎🐶).
It would have been spreading kindness if you'd have put a link to your friends channel in the description...Retirement boot camp off grid AZ 😊
Sorry Love I missed you this time. I was working 13 hour days. Hope you’re doing well. Hugs and Kisses.
Drewby.
Enjoyed again, Sarah little onr
There are some great comments here, even a marriage proposal! I've been to Chloride many times and my problem is that if you look to the right of the mural you will see petroglyphs. Obviously he painted his mural over the top of some of this ancient art. That bothers me a lot. Thanks for listening.
Great video... Have been dropping by Chloride since the 1990s. I might havtld you about is place last year. Mural painter, Roy Purcell was an art teacher at UNLV at one time. He used automotive paint to hold up to the sun, UV, & elements.
❤❤❤❤❤
Good morning from Medford Oregon 😅
Hi Wandering Jeepsy, greatings from Copenhagen, Denmark Skandinavien . Im all new to your channel. Saw you on Eonderhussy's channel, and was immediately attracted by your lovely voice & smile. Nice video with beautiful nature. You have gained another fan. Take good care of yourself and your tiny dog. I'm already looking forward to watching your next video. Hug Blueeyes 🥰
Helloooooo Beautiful! 🤙
This is gonna be my signature greeting to you in every video 🤙😂🚒.... they don't have Jeep emojis so you get a fire truck 🤪
Good Stuff.
Perfect. I wanted to see some video's on Chloride and loan behold you pop up. Many thanks for the great tour. I just subscribed and I also subscribe to the channel of the lady you met.
Hope they did not get on too hard on the money in Quartzsite Airzonia for the solar pannels. Was trying to help one out, by gong online and pricing them. I got me two 200 watt controllors and two 200 what pannels and wires to hook it up with cheaper than my Harbor freight solar pannel kit. This kit has the glass pannels. The new one's are flexiable. Glad that one is ok from going off the road. The jeep is good too. I try to count my blessings in spite of the fact that life will show up. Am getting ready to clean up some stuff in my home. New Mexico has some stuff going on there right now too. I took an Army driving saftey coarse that is the same as driving five cars at one time. One in front one in back and two on the sides and me in the middle years ago. Have fun. Paul in Ohio Paul has been sober and clean since June th 4 of 1980 just for today I don't drink or drug anything. I got to meetings and work the steps and listen to others share with me what happened to them at aa. Am taking colegen pepptides just a half of scoop in my morning coffee to help my joints move without the bone on bone contact. And large does B-12 vitiams. Am feeling a little bit better too. Worked out my legs with single leg lunges and squarts today three sets of 30's. The killbasee was good yet it took me some chewing to get it down. Time to set up some solar pannels to charge up some batterys.
New here loved it love cool little places!!
Glad to see that you look healthy and happy . And just realized that you are one of the few postings that aren’t trying to sell me their own brand of coffee . So, please don’t follow their marketing . Lol maybe some tea or hot chocolate !
🤣🤣
A story I heard about the jail was that the character of Otis the drunk from The Andy Griffith show was inspired by a real person in Chloride. One of the writers of the show was on vacation and stopped there and found out about a local who always came drinking at the bar on Friday, then always checked himself into the jail because his wife would not let him into the house drunk. So he'd sober up Saturday in the jail, then Sunday he'd join his wife at church and spend Sunday through Thursday at home and then on Friday start over at the bar and jail.
hey will go check some of the river we are reflowing the system bac exiting all the dam
I.ll give u this .nice tats on the twins 😊👍
👍🐾
Well, I am retired, so I'll go look at that channel.
Hey wandering Jeep’s, strike my intrusive suggestion that you get a Toyota forerunner. Your logo revolves around travels with your Jeep’s. Coming out your way in April, any suggestions about slab city.❤
Hi there wondering Gypsy I was just wondering what what happened to your Jeep at the shop did you get it fixed just wondering thank you love what you do keep it up love your work
Would have loved to hear about the HualapI indians since you are fascinated by native indian history... Hualapai means People of the Tall Pines (you love trees), who live on a 1 million acre reservation along 100 miles of the grand canyon west. Hunter gathers who traded with neighboring Havasupai crop growers. .with some 2300 members today. Bigger than population of Chloride.
Chloride's name comes from the mining of silver Chloride, a white crystalline powder used for mirror making, pottery glazing, mercury poisoning cure, antibacterial, and WJ favorite, photography.
Maybe some viwers would enjoy a deep dive on your subjects? Maybe more watchtime hours and subs and $$.
❤👍🏼👍🏼✌🏼🙂
😀😃😄
Heya. It's Redd(Mike). We met at the dog park in Quartzsite 😁 I'm on my second lap around ARIZONA and I was wondering what the name was of that camp ground you stayed at away from Quartzsite. I'm back there by the way lol. Hit me up if you need a jeepers buddy, I'll be around until it warms up
It wasn't easy but that one gas station you came to I caught that it was 38 cents a gallon on one of them gas pumps the one on the left that was cool I couldn't get the other one so I always like to see the price on what gas was back then 38 cents a gallon how cool I'd like to see that price again??? Go chloride.
@ 12:47 Those jail cells look roomier than were the keeper sits. @ 21:22 That gas pump in the middle don't fit in looking like something from the 70s maybe ? @23:29 awwww i can't find her channel, she seems so genuine.
Since she mentions 'off-grid Arizona' at 24:27, I think it's the channel called, "RETIREMENT BOOT CAMP Off-gridAZ"
@@lindsaylivinlife6282 Thank You, found her.
👍💋
Indians with feathers not a dot. So we are clear about the story.

Lastly, kindly try to breakup most driving sequences into about 20 second max segments with some jump or fade to a next segment farther down the road and repeat a few times rather than a 1 minute or more long driving stretch. Interesting to the driver but tedious to busy viewers. Sharing kindness for a positive viewer experience.
Finally an abrupt end is negative to viewers conclusion. Try a fade out without a car crash ending. Leave the audience with a positive smile, hoping for more!
