For viewers who want to visit Chloride townsite, it is directly between Kingman and Las Vegas on a paved road FOUR (plus a block or two) miles off of Highway 93. Watch out for cows wandering on roads--it is open range even in the townsite.
Thank you for your generous shout-out, Miss Sarah. It was an honor to appear on your terrific channel. ❤ RBCoff-gridAZ

Amen to the 'small towns' and sweet video. I recently found your channel and follow a few 'van-life' folks. I used to go off-road overlanding with my boys & it was some of the best times of my entire life. There's nothing I love more than my kids. But, after my youngest went to heaven two years ago, we no longer go. I want to get back into it solo, drive a Jeep Wrangler (for many years) and so I look for nomads in Jeeps to see how they do. Long story, thanks for listening. You are lovely, kind and I wish you all good & beautiful things~

Windy Point is a great camping area close to there. If you keep going past the murals you can get there- or come up the other side off of 93, right at Grasshopper Junction-that road is easier but a bit rough towards the top, the road past the murals you keep could do.

There are some great comments here, even a marriage proposal! I've been to Chloride many times and my problem is that if you look to the right of the mural you will see petroglyphs. Obviously he painted his mural over the top of some of this ancient art. That bothers me a lot. Thanks for listening.

Hope they did not get on too hard on the money in Quartzsite Airzonia for the solar pannels. Was trying to help one out, by gong online and pricing them. I got me two 200 watt controllors and two 200 what pannels and wires to hook it up with cheaper than my Harbor freight solar pannel kit. This kit has the glass pannels. The new one's are flexiable. Glad that one is ok from going off the road. The jeep is good too. I try to count my blessings in spite of the fact that life will show up. Am getting ready to clean up some stuff in my home. New Mexico has some stuff going on there right now too. I took an Army driving saftey coarse that is the same as driving five cars at one time. One in front one in back and two on the sides and me in the middle years ago. Have fun. Paul in Ohio Paul has been sober and clean since June th 4 of 1980 just for today I don't drink or drug anything. I got to meetings and work the steps and listen to others share with me what happened to them at aa. Am taking colegen pepptides just a half of scoop in my morning coffee to help my joints move without the bone on bone contact. And large does B-12 vitiams. Am feeling a little bit better too. Worked out my legs with single leg lunges and squarts today three sets of 30's. The killbasee was good yet it took me some chewing to get it down. Time to set up some solar pannels to charge up some batterys.

A story I heard about the jail was that the character of Otis the drunk from The Andy Griffith show was inspired by a real person in Chloride. One of the writers of the show was on vacation and stopped there and found out about a local who always came drinking at the bar on Friday, then always checked himself into the jail because his wife would not let him into the house drunk. So he'd sober up Saturday in the jail, then Sunday he'd join his wife at church and spend Sunday through Thursday at home and then on Friday start over at the bar and jail.

Would have loved to hear about the HualapI indians since you are fascinated by native indian history... Hualapai means People of the Tall Pines (you love trees), who live on a 1 million acre reservation along 100 miles of the grand canyon west. Hunter gathers who traded with neighboring Havasupai crop growers. .with some 2300 members today. Bigger than population of Chloride.
Chloride's name comes from the mining of silver Chloride, a white crystalline powder used for mirror making, pottery glazing, mercury poisoning cure, antibacterial, and WJ favorite, photography.
Maybe some viwers would enjoy a deep dive on your subjects? Maybe more watchtime hours and subs and $$.

Lastly, kindly try to breakup most driving sequences into about 20 second max segments with some jump or fade to a next segment farther down the road and repeat a few times rather than a 1 minute or more long driving stretch. Interesting to the driver but tedious to busy viewers. Sharing kindness for a positive viewer experience.
Finally an abrupt end is negative to viewers conclusion. Try a fade out without a car crash ending. Leave the audience with a positive smile, hoping for more!
