Seem like he always wanted to do the right thing for a lot of reasons. I always appreciate it his work ethic along with all of it. But still . . . I think it's more about the fit next to DeRozan then it is about his dedication. That fit between those 2 was awful and they catered more to DeMar than Zach after paying him a max.

Zak scores 25 a game, people mad because he doesn't have 10 assist a game.nobody is perfect.but when a team loses they always blame the richest contract. Not to mention every other day they have him traded. Once a player gets in this cycle, its hard to get OUT.
I don’t think the market around Lavine is as dire as everyone is making it out to be.. Kings and or Detroit are still right there. Kings absolutely have to add another guy next to their young players.

I disagree with Matt . Zach has enough resume he doesn’t need to play to be traded. Why have him on the court to get injured again? also take away from development and the current team. We should of benched him when he demanded a trade last year. K Leonard was benched in SA and they still got a good deal done . It won’t be the 1st time a player demands a trade and gets benched
The Bulls traded away Debo to the Kings for Chris Duarte, two second round pick and cash. And Harrison Barnes will be going to the SAS with an unprotected 2031 pick swap.
I’m sorry I like Zach but we can’t keep giving away picks that we need. I honestly think they need to move Patrick Williams also cause he has worked out for the team either.

Here's what I don't get:
You guys are all over trade value as a topic. You ROAST AK for not getting picks on TOP of a 21 year-old, lottery-picked, 6'8" PG with 11 triple doubles already instead of the proverbial mystery prize behind door #3 (the 'picks').
You saw PWill get injured and have that make his contract more affordable, but still good money.
With Zach, it isn't JUST 'bad timing' that he went under the knife.
We could have a whole conversation about players who looked BETTER after surgery, including D Rose, but also baseball pitchers who make decisions about when to have Tommy John surgery.
The point is that you guys know too much about injury killing trade value to not only not see how Machiavellian killing a Detroit trade would be, but to not see how Zach's Feb 13, 2022(?) injury forced the Bulls into risking losing him for nothing.
Will, you put on a masterclass when Peck argued 'losing DeMar for nothing' (hat throw) actually created cap flexibility.
Where was that argument when the Bulls could have offered Zach 4yrs $180M, instead of 5yrs/$215M.
At the time, only pre-Haliburton Indy, pre-Paolo Orlando, the pre-Wemby Spurs and (surprise, surprise) Detroit had the CAP space to sign Zach without giving us something back.
The common theme here is Zach's well-timed injuries steering his career in ways that don't pay off for the team with his contract.
If you're a small-market team, you can't afford having him come and immediately start agitating for big city lime light.
That leave both NY franchises, both LA franchises, Houston, Philly, Miami, Golden State, Dallas and Phoenix. (Maybe Atlanta)
Any cities not on that list do not give Zach the off court sponsorship anywhere NEAR what he can get in Chicago.
That's his issue. He doesn't want Detroit, Utah, Memphis, etc.
And the league knows it.
Trade Lavine for Austin Reeves DeMar for Malik Monk or pics get Lonzo back and healthy and trade for pics and lastly Vuc for a Snickers n 2nd round pick

Chicago is just terrible! Complain that management is cheap, then complain about their players if they get paid a good contract. Zach Lavines contract is not bad if you look at it compared to the other players that are making over 40, Franz Wagner just signed for 5yr 224 mil, he is not an all star.
Zach is a bum, always has been.. should have never signed him
