    I have a very short list of fears. One of the few is getting attacked by something like this. You just don't understand how massive these creatures are until you're next to one.

    • @dr.mikejohnson571
      @dr.mikejohnson571 Год назад +9

      I don't have an overt fear of it, I just refuse to allow myself or a loved one be mauled, thus I am always armed to teeth when "in the hills"

    • @dr.mikejohnson571
      @dr.mikejohnson571 Год назад +6

      And then pound for pound they're even more powerful. You take the strongest toughest 350 lb man vs a 300 lb bear or lion or tiger and even without teeth and claws the animal treats the bigger man like a rag doll. I'll see if I can find the video: There's a "Montana bear guy" who has a pet 400 lb grizz. He takes it out and has it flip 800 lb boulders like they're nothing.

      No surprise, tent cities are popping up or growing like weeds in most democratic run larger cities and its only gonna get worse in the coming years with the Biden administration not securing the southern border and people from all over the world freely walking into the USA now. 20K-30K illegal immigrants enter this country every single week since Biden took over, stopped the wall/tore it down and allows all illegal immigrants into this country. Oh and the 20k to 30k is just the ones that get processed, there are several thousand others every week that enter and are never caught/processed and move around the country freely and nobody knows who they are or what they are capable of. Yes most illegals are good people looking for a better life but the country just can't sustain have hundreds of thousands coming into the country every few months, a lot of them eventually end up on the streets and these tent cities in Seattle, Portland, LA and area NY etc the bigger Dem run cities were the leadership there allows this to happen

Then everything gets shot in the front quarter, hind quarter, paw, belly and ass. The quality of the videos are nice to watch, but the quality of shooting is cringe worthy.

    i was a back up gun on two grizzly hunts back in the late eighties. first one i help shoot was an 8 foot bear and the second one was a 10 foot er like yours. i did not have to shoot at the 10 foot bear as my boss at the time took care of it with a couple shots. a 10 foot bear is freaking huge. we skinned the bear properly and my boss put that whole bear hide and head on a kodiak frame backpack. i had to help him lift the backpack onto his back. it was every bit of 150 plus pounds of hide and head. we were inland off the coast of the norton sound between unalakleet and saint michael. watching you're awesome fun hunt in kodiak brought back some memories for me. thank you guys for a great video and sharing your awesome successful hunt!! a 10 footer!!!! There is no way to know if it was necessary. It was much too soon in my opinion. There isn't one second between the two shots. Almost like a "preemptive shot". A back up shot shouldn't be so quick unless there is the danger of a charge. It's quite clear that no one likes to follow a wounded bear in the alders and the guide is the one who has to find the bear..I'll put that shot on his experience in similar circumstances.

    So your telling me on that 10ft bear that weighs somewhere around 1000 lbs-1500 lbs with about 50-55% harvestable meat on it that you left somewhere around 500-750 lbs of meat on the ground? Im all for hunting and I understand trophy hunting but cmon man. That much meat on such an amazing animal and after 7 stays of stalking and all you take is hide? I hope the rug was worth it cause you left a hell of alot of bear stew meat and sausages on the ground.

      Yup. The guide will often shoot also. I think they are under law to track any wounded bears into the brush if needed. So it's a judgment call for each situation I'd imagine. In this situation, the bear can disappear instantly and make it extremely hairy right now. Or be on you in a few heartbeats at 60 yards . So yeah, they both shot I believe. And that's totally legal and the right thing to do.
      The hunter needs to be ready to put their false pride away in these situations. If it was wide open country and a longer shot with plenty of time for follow up shots , then I bet Billy holds off a bit to wait a see.
