Thanks for watching, hope you enjoyed my video (:
People complaining how they don’t have some ingredients in their local asian/Korean market............bro I don’t even have a local asian/Korean market tf💀💀
i bought my gochujang from a mexican market. just check the asian aisles of whatever store you have!
@@21AriaW in my country they only sell like rice flour, sushi rice, soy sauce, etc.. basically its impossible to find a lot of asian stuff
I moved but the place I use to stay in had an asian marker and I love asian food but now I won't be able to find anything I need because I moved.
Same sis ! We don't have any korean related food in my state!
Armyyy
But same😞
OMG THIS IS SO GOOD I JUST MADE IT OFMGORISO 10/10 RECOMMEND

DOES IT FIT AMERICAN TASTEBUDS ASWELL?
Nice, simple, but thoroughly explained video. Now I don’t feel so intimidated to make tteokbokki. Been wanting to try it for so long! Thank you!
Just made this and it is absolutely delicious! I added garlic , soy sauce , salt , pepper , cayenne pepper, brown sugar & used tomato paste instead 😍😍😍
It's not too spicy? I need a sauce that's not spicy so I can make it for my daughter.
Holy moly. I just made this expecting it to be just OK but it’s so good. Better than the other ones I’ve tried on RUclips.
I’m making tteokbokki for my friends and sister today! Having so much fun!
this is really really delicious.
I am going to make this. thank you for sharing recipe.
BRUH IDK WHY BUT I LITERALLY READ “CHINESE TTEOKBOKKI” ON THE THUMBNAIL BUT WHEN I LOOKED AT IT AGAIN TURNS OUT IT WAS *cHeESe tTeOkbOkKi*

Wow ive been watching ttobokki videos that are so complex and i dont have half the ingredients at my local asian mart , but this is so simple ! Im definitely going to try it!
yeah, i mean in normal tteobokki you add anchovies and kelp and so on to give it a more seafood flavour, but whenever i make tteobokki i make it only with gochujang because i like it's spicy flavour
Emily Jimenez I got the stuff Amazon
So good! I added like a whole ass bag of cheese though cos that wasn't near enough for me 😂😂😂😂😂

Thank you for showing how to cook rice cake and your recipes are so easy and good🤩😍
this was so good! i added green onion and fish cakes because i usually eat my tteokbokki like that but either way it tasted vv good!
I made this yesterday and it was SO easy! Please can you do a video recipe on korean cheese corn dogs
this was super delicious and the perfect serving size for one person. thanks for sharing the recipe ♡
So it is sweet I thought it was salty 😂
It's savory! The sugar is just to round out the flavor 💖
Sweet and spicy
I don’t have gochujang so I always make my own and it still turns out delicious! And I also make my own rice cakes, it does take me a while but I’m used to it because I make tortillas😭
Hahaha nice 😂😊😊😊
How to make gochuchang paste
Ooh thank you very much fr this recipe! This video is in soo much detail! N also it looks incredibly yummy !!
치즈떡볶이! How good! 😉👍👍👍
Thank you so much! I appreciate it!
i love your recipes!! are these ones you made up yourself or maybe were taught by your family? if you are actually korean lol
Thank you so much this tastes delicious!!!!
I like the tteokbokki but the sauce to hot. Is there some other kind of sauce I could use? Thank you
i mean you can add less gochujang in, or i suppose if you don't want gocujang at all then have it with any other sauce? I know kiri mochi and honey is quite popular, (kiri mochi is basically made of rice flour like tteokbokki). you could put it in soup and stuff too i suppose
You could try a black bean sauce! They are a little less spicy :)
I bought soy bean sauce, I less spicy, I'll make some and tell you how is it
AAAAAH THIS WAS SO GOOODDDD
Watching this while I make it 😋😋
First time Loooking for recipe and having all of them on hand!!
can i find my paste in an Asian market? btw, love your vids!! ( new subbie hehe)
I would think most Asian markets will have this but I can't say 100% that every Asian market has it :(
But any Korean market will definitely have it if that helps? Haha
Ivy yup! i found a Korean supermarket! thanks for replying back!! 🥰☺️
I tried this its so worthit ngl
Is it spicy? Cuz i cant handle spice..
@@fatima_E no it’s not
@@jomsamal4774 ok thx!
Delicious and easy! Thank you!!
Was the tteok frozen or not? I have some tteok frozen but i don’t know if I ended to defrost them first or not
WOwiee!! IM GOING TO TELL MY MOM TO MAKE CHEESE TOPPOKI
So excited to see this thank you
My mom loved it!
Just made it today,, very yummy and sweet :) thanks for the simple recipe :))
I made this dish finally and it taste awesome 👌
Thank you so much ♥️ I’ll do it for supper!
Can you add ramen in it when you are cooking it or separate
Look so delicious
🌺🌺Aloha🌺🌺
Thank you
I wonna try the rice cakes but I don’t like spicy stuff so what sauce would I put with it ? I’ve never had them before but really would like to try them!
u can use the spicy ramen sauce!
Is this still possible to make without the gochujang?
So yummy! Greatings from Greece♥️👍🏼 🇬🇷
if you don’t add the pepper paste does anything happen?
It's just gonna be boiled rice cake with cheese
Looks great! Do we not need to add salt?
Very good and easy ❤️
Starving to eat that again!!
The liquid around my rice cakes never seems to thicken but I did the same exact thing as you. Should I cook my rice cakes for more than 7mins?
I cooked mine for 13 minutes and they were PERFECT!!
You say in the video 2 tbs of sugar, but in your description box it says 2 tps, so which one is it?
I NEED THIS 💗
Gochuchang and rice cake where i buy ? Korean store ?
just one question, can I substitute the hot pepper paste with tomato paste? or make my own paste?
any kind of cheese would do? or only mozzarella cheese?
I think any cheese but people prefer mozzarella
do i need to boil the rice cakes before doing this or just leave it out for a while?
Do you boil the rice cakes beforehand? To soften them?
can i use a different kind of cheese and not mozarella?
Did you use frozen rice cakes or room temperature?
Instead of the Korean pepper paste can I use tomatoe paste??
My rice cakes are frozen so should I soak them in water or defrost them?
yes. always thaw frozen rice cakes in a water soak :)
Love it! Is it possible to make tteokbokki less spicy?
korean tomato paste
Can I double up the amount? or will it make the taste worst?
Can I use tomato paste to make less spicy?
Can you use ketchup instead of the paste??? I know it’s weird but I can’t find the paste!
If I were to double the recipe (for two people) would four tablespoons of gochujang be to much, and would 2 1/2 cups of water (3/4 • 2) be to much..?
Is it super spicy?
can I use any kind of cheese?
What to add if i dont have the red pepper korean paste
It is spicy?
You can make it spicy or sweet. It's up to your taste :)
Can i fine them in suriname the rice cake?
What is said in the video: TTEOKBOKKI
What I use to say: TOGGBOOGI
Thats because in korean ( ㄱ ) - which means ( mostly k but sometimes g ) in English is pronounced as g in Korean not full g its a mix of g and k...i hope you understand lol
Can I use green paste?
Enjoyed it but put a little bit of butter so it smooths out and is a little creamier.
Where do you buy the white rice cakes?
Joana Weeknd Asian markets carry them or I’ve seen them on Amazon
I've seen and bought at Walmart.
Joana Weeknd At the Asian Market, if you want to get them immediately. But, Amazon sells them too if you don't mind waiting.
If you have one within a reasonable distance, then try HMart
It doesn’t look like that was 2 tbsp of sugar.. this is kind of confusing for me :(
ashley jane trust me! Follow the recipe. I followed it exactly and it worked out perfectly!
It's 2 tsp :)
Can i make it not spicy :((
tomato paste.
@@arazorblade4849 ur smart
@@CreamyAlbafica ;)
Use more cheese or try carbonara tobokki recipe
I am English and i live in Australia they do not sell it here but it looks great
Gonna make this tomorrow but with more water and add pack of ramen at the end
is this spicy? coz i cant eat spicy food and i really really want to try this recipe.
Yea but u can make it less spicy by adding less paste
what do the rice cakes taste like? also my j-mart doesn’t have rice cakes 😖😖😖😔😔
Is the dish in the end sweet and spicy, or does the spicy ness overpowers the sweetness
Its equally sweet and spicy. Not sweet like desert, but VERY spicy
@@NeekkeKayla What if I dont put sugar and add a little bit of salt instead? I dont particularly like sweets besides desserts..
can you make spicy tteokbokki but with chili powder? (sorry I'm late)
Is there something you can add in place of the pepper paste? Even with a small amount it’s still way too hot for me. But I looove rice cakes - I just can’t find a good way to eat them. Thanks in advance.
My sister and I love this dish but the spice makes it unenjoyable. I am searching for a spicy replacement as well and will update you when I find a solution!
@@NeekkeKayla That is so awesome - thank you so much!
Kayla Connor Following!! I'm not even going to chance buying the pepper paste lol. Please keep me updated as well 💞💞
@@SaraeRaveen oh hi lol. I forgot about this. Well I did some researching and I found that you can make a soy sauce based version. It's called "royal tteokbokki" I think. I havent tried it yet but I'm sure it is just as good!
@@bmrjma2144 Try looking for a recipe for "royal tteokbokki" its soy sauce base so not spicy, but probably just as good! Will try to remember to let you know when I try it
i can’t eat spicy food and i really want to try this tho 🥺🥺. is there a way to make a non spicy version?
You can make a soy sauce tteokbokki.
You could probably substitute the gochujang with tomato paste
I’ve made tteokbokki before, but it was sooo spicy, but I really love the sauce. Does someone know how to make it less spicy? Unfortunately I can’t really handle spicy food, so yeah :(
add less gochujang aacording to your liking
Is this spicy?
Thank you so much for this video most of the other videos are really complicated
do you precook the tteokbokki?? or just put them directly in to the sauce once out of packaging?
Clarice Wang straight into the sauce honeiiii
do we set our stove to low medium for high when we're cooking?
(it looks so good)
CocoBerri i don’t think so just put water and the sugar
I usually set it on medium whenever I cook mine :))
Can I make teokbokki that is not spicy??
I’m Potato the gochujang isn’t very spicy at all but if you want it less spicy add less of it
Can i use a wooden spoon for stirring♥
BANGTAN_STAN UwU yes
an error in the description: video says 2 tbsp white sugar, not 2 tsp
Simple
Is this vegetarian?
How spicy is it?
can i use less sugar?
yeah! you don't have to use sugar at all in fact
Can we make Poutine Rice cake ?
THANKS SO MUCH :D
I can't find the korean red hot pepper paste anywhere :( do I need this, or what else can I use?
if you dont have any oriental or asian grocery stores, you can order some on Amazon for just as cheap
Can you use tomato paste instead of red pepper paste? Cause idk where to find res pepper paste
If you dont have a local asian or oriental grocery, Amazon sells it :)
@@angelfrankenfine it's just that it's quite expensive on amazon 😬
hello people. if you are weak like myself and dont like too spicy, replace 1tbsp of gochujang with ketchup instead. still tastes amazing
I might have to do that cause I literally just made this 30 mins ago and my tummy is NOT happy. Never had such an instant reaction from something before and I didn’t even use a full tablespoon.
