I got one of these in the mail the other day. I quite like it. All of my other instruments are from the 1920s to 1950s, and I wanted to try a modern production instrument. It's much lighter! The valves move a bit more quickly, but also feel light by comparison, but then I remember my Bach LR 37 was like that. It responds quickly and has good intonation. It was either this or a Carol Brass 5000, and this won out due to the feature set. Is this really an "intermediate" horn though? I was hoping it was a pro horn that simply cost less because it was partly produced overseas ...
BAC bought out the kanstal assets from the estate of zig . zig kanstal bought out the tooling and fixtures from the F E Olds bankruptcy sale.. so this is why many fetures of the FE Olds trumpet models is incorperated into the new BAC models.
So you have the Horn Doctor and you have Dr. Toot. And if you go to Springfield (the one where the Simpsons live) you can go to a music store called King Toot's. Okay...
“May not be everyone’s cup of tea but that’s okay because I don’t drink everyone’s tea.” Absolute legend
Haha yeah, I think I will start to say that 😂
One of my favorite quotes
As a DCI person, I read the title and thought the Boston Crusaders made their own trumpet.
Man, that finish is gorgeous. Love that look. As is the rose one on the right.

Started watching for his trombone vids because I’m a trombonist myself and was interested in other types of trombones, now I just watch for the brass
Definitely makes me want to pull the old trombone out of the case.
"...but I don't care, because I don't drink other peoples' tea." Well said.
good
Since I have a cold right now, I wouldn't suggest you drink from my cup of tea anyway.

That's actually really cool! My main horn is a late 50s Olds Special cornet, and I'm a huge fan 😁
BAC may have got some of the tools and mandrels from Kanstul. I am about 85% sure this is the case.
BAC has Kanstul tooling
