Samplebrains is cool and all, but i never in a million years wouldve expected to see that konnakol video anywhere outside of the video itself. Very cool
You should try with the konnakol as brains and target, i wonder what itd sound like
Here's a really awesome video where somebody transcribed it to quad drums- ruclips.net/video/86T5171_zkU/видео.html
of course, Konnakol in general is a cultural tradition ruclips.net/video/89Er3xXtXi8/видео.html
I didn’t think any other westerns even knew about it lol
this is so cool, making something as weird as the first example would take ages for me without something like this.
Its pretty much just granular synthesis. Super easy to do with ableton's M4L granulator
@@LozMyKeys could you recommend any FL plugins similar?
@@amp4105 I don't use FL but just search Granular synth for FL something like that
Finally a walkthrough that isn't just random farts
best tutorial yet, amazing walkthrough!
real nice, thanks lei for bringing me here
Reminds me of Crystal Castles outros / intros
This is gorgeous, I can't wait to use it. Thank you!
Yeah day 1 I started playing with it. Had no clue what was going on. I still don’t but I’m glad this exists.
do more of this!! this is amazing
Example 1 is so good. I was tinkering for hours and couldn't achieve any good sounding results
Probably the best video on this
Finally some nice sounding demo
So awesome. Thank you!
first tutorial that show something promissing
thanks
Just discovered you, lol this walkthrough is insane. Intro reminds me of Noisia radio intro : Hello person, welcome to this space
nice tool 👍 thx for a walkthrough
This is so incredibly cool, I feel like this is a piece of future music technology
Oh... I just had fun with that!! Thanks :D
you should keep making tuts with this voice program, makes the whole thing even cooler haha
Cool, reminds me of scrambled hackz, which matched live audio input to a cached bank of sample slices.
pleasing, thx.
So sick ! Hope he makes some kind of vst plugins next
THIS
Yeah, being able to tweak this with a MIDI controller would be huge.
Wise choices
AMAZING..👍
He had something similar a few years back using AI and a TX7. Cool stuff!
this is awesome
That's a brilliant idea using that konnakol video as source. Their videos and another RUclipsr whose name escapes me (BL Manthunan or something close?) produce videos that are crazy. I'm going to pick up this app, thanks.
THIS IS SO COOL
oh nice!
Muy bueno!!!
This is G Jones next favourite sound design tool
Epic!
this be dope
this is so cool!!!
I immediately downloaded this. I'm slamming all my original breaks and rap beats together as I type. Can't wait. it's like a kid waking up a christmas
lmao i love this trend of surreal ass music prod tutorials
How do I select my audio device?
interesting, but i wouldn't see myself using it over a granular synth, you could put the samples you want into a consolidated audio file and switch between the samples with automation and a short automated grain size, I imagine it would be easier to keep in time that way too. However it probably would give some good fast inspiration when trying to find samples to use w/ granular synthesis
I'm trying to recreate some of his drum breaks in logic pro. Currently Im doing a very long method and I was just wondering if you know a shorter way of doing so.
@@xenopis7862 there is a plugin called Renoise Redux, its like $60 but basically gives you the whole renoise sampler and tracker in your daw. That is my go to way for chopping up breaks bc most glitchy idm breaks are made in trackers. Most older aphex twin, venetian snares type songs are made in trackers and its super fast once you get used to the keybinds. Idk what you have for granular synthesis in logic, but in ableton there is a device called Granulator II and it would be my go to for anything granular. but still if you want speed and a more classic sound i think Redux or a similar plugin is the best
This is fucking awesome
I can imagine Broadcast making good use of this
THIS COULD CHANGE EVERYTHING
How did you make these voice effects? Crazy plugin btw
I will now proceed to shove my entire rhythm lab amen break folder into this thing
Is it possible to provide a link to the brain folder you used as well as the target sound file?
Yeah would you share those electronic drums from example 2?
@@xfira_ That's exactly what I've used for the second example. You can find those samples on Google.
won't be surprised if this ends up being used heavily on the next Death Grips album
Lol same
what is the purpose of the "target" sound? is that sample also used in the output audio?
I believe the "target" is the sound that the "brain" is trying to recreate
The second example sounds like the last few minutes of an Autechre track.
Was going to comment that
first example sounds like a thom yorke track
3:11 Half Life Mode enabled
what did you used for the sinthetic voice id like to know please help me i need it
*synthetic
@@ophello yes, but what did he use to synthesize the voice?
Yeah what is this speech synth please??
It definitely sounds like a ring modulator, perhaps with phase modulation. Could be an automated pitchshifter in the chain aswell...
would love to try this but it crashes instantly on mac high sierra. Any idea?
Reminds me of Composers Desktop Project
What is the tool you used for the text to speech?
Amazon Polly.
quick question, how is this different to granular synths? just curious.
it's essentially a form of granular synthesis, there's no real difference
this is nuts
how did you do your voice? what synthesis machine? effects?
Amazon Polly and FX chain of my own.
How do you export to WAV?
i feel justified for having just installed Ubuntu as a second OS on my desktop, now i can use it for something other than Bitwig!
Kinda dumb when it comes to PCs, but how do I download the song once I'm done? I need it as a .wav file.
Wonder how this sounds halftime or double halftime , Plugin sure looks like fun !
Most experimental Fl user
@@traurigeswehrecords1791 xddddddd
@@traurigeswehrecords1791 hey dont call me out like that
i wonder if someone could program this into an application for NORNS
Can you export what you make for use in a DAW?
You mean audio? Yes, you can.
Thanks yt algorithm for this one
He's having a joke and seeing all the geeks who fell for it.
you are probably right lmao but regardless it still sounds cool
Omg the 1:35 moment sounds a little bit like Arca's Unrealeased - Datura
it's all nice and dandy, but does it render it's arrangement so i can modify the result without having to rechop everything by hand again?
Wow this is a game changer!! Very interesting sounds
If anyone here is a producer / composer and is interested in getting their work out there scoring a short film LMK !
down
Also down
@@arturozanaica9563 Sick! Do you have an email or something I can send you the details?
@@bswalem Sweet!! Do you have an email I can contact you on?
@@Thedudemannn ruclips.net/channel/UCepvKUsEi7jV4NDgfiUQ3tw also interested if any of this music aligns with project needs.
Thank for this. I can't get it to work for me and have no idea why :(
You can open a ticket on this project's git. Maybe Dave can give you a hand making it work.
I can't get it to work with my own samples... but loading the demo session works. Does loading the demo session work for you?
No, that doesn’t work either. I decided to delete it as it felt like a waste of time.
All you need to say with this voice:
“Now let’s play a game”.
Please which speak to text are you using ????
Amazon Polly.
@@uisato_ Fanks
is there anyway to use set up my audio drivers with this?
If that’s not you talking. How did you do the voice over for this video?
Text to speech AI.
Anyone else having issue getting audio out of this on Intel MacOS?
Yeah, me
Not Mac but PC I’m also not getting any audio out of the thing
This soumds amazing. Fan of Aphex here. Legend.
Osciloscope graphics too. Now where do I find the software?
Interesting concept and musically practical.
gitlab.com/then-try-this/samplebrain
literally makes no sound when i follow these exact steps 😂
Ok but i have no samples, like, where do i get some lmaoo?
Haha Comic sans - they must be trolling us
when I do it it doesn't let me click play so I can't hear anything
you might have to regenerate blocks and regenerate brain. then wait for the samples to be processed (theres a progress % in the bottom left of the window)
gotta love RDJ - looks like a prank experiment for his own amusement to see how people react/dissect it. legend. Of course i could be wrong!
I think the use of Comic Sans in the interface tells us all we need to know
the man just automated his job and made himself unnecessary. based
I thought that the Comic Sans font is just because you use that for your system, but no, that's hard coded into the app lmao
Wouldn't be surprised if I saw deadmau5 using this.
PODRIAS HACER UNO EN ESPAÑOL, TMABIEN ENSEÑARAS A CREAR LA VOZ O ALGO SIMILAR A LA QUE USAS? SALUDOS¡
Music clip from 1.30 is very interersting...
this is such a bizarre concept. how the hell did the devs even come up with the idea?
Ground control to Major LULZ.
Now do airplane mashed potatoes
Hmm so its a basically an enveloped delay and a granulizer combo. That is frekin powerful
Where'd u get an enveloped delay from?
@@boimesa8190 it's a confluxed flemmator, actually
@@magnopere WRONG. Common mistake but this is actually a confluxed flontuator. The flemmator only has 4 cirrenial protasks. Not 8 like you see here.
@@b1nary_f1nary WRONG AGAIN. It's actually a centalflaxizal floptronitunator. It has 16 delay knobs instead of 8 reverb florpdorps.
I have no idea how to install this on a Mac Intel. I need a programming degree just to decipher the instructions. M1 has a nice .dmg file.
Same for me on Windows, I don't know what I'm doing wrong
@@Banement Thank you! Couldn't find the .exe first time re-installed it and it's working now
Same! Been asking around and haven’t got a clear answer for Mac yet
@@AkashGamana Can't help you there unfortunately! Maybe similar to my Windows install, the .exe file wasn't there first time but was when I re uploaded. Works now but crashes frequently
DSP is powerful
Hmm.. I had high hopes, but I really don't think it's that great. I've been building for too many years in MAX and Reaktor, and this just isn't that exciting.
3:08
My dog really doesn’t like this 🤣
Why comic sans? I can't believe this shit
You know the man, he's a master-prankster.
Because aphex is a memelord
wait. Your teeth was removed? All of them?
Fortunately not, just one. But it fucked up badly my speaking for a couple of days.
So it's sCrAmBlEd?HaCkZ! without video.
Sounds like Björk to me a bit
sounds a lot like.....aphex twin to me.
this thing is cool but its such a pain in the ass to get to actually start
Mid 90's electro - das beste!
ruclips.net/video/34vvF7yMGN8/видео.html
This would have been an infinitely better video if you had just played the content sounds and the target sounds cleanly so we could hear what sounds you were actually using
Comic sans, seriously?
funny little touch
This program is one enormous troll.
