I was the one who carried out the guy when they stopped the show. Passed out cold in the pit. Got him up, said he was fine, then just dropped again. Threw him over my shoulder and got him outta there.
Oh dang it happened again. What happened to the guy? I’m the dude who posted the video last year in Pittsburgh when Alex stopped the show when a girl had a seizure. Good on you for looking out for a brother! ✊🏻
@@_Arugula_Salad_ We sat him down outside the crowd and I gave him an extra water. Someone went for a medic while his friend stayed with him. They said I was good to go back to the pit so I did. He seemed a lot better sitting down, the STP pit was one of the more intense ones of the night.
mmm it is very possible that what you hear is not the acoustic sound of his voice but his voice going through the wedges and/or the PA at a very low volume (since it seems the PA and maybe the wedges got weird for a second here)
@@djabthrashand also, I may be wrong but there's no guitar/bass cabs onstage so they don't have actual stage sound - so the sound of the guitars bass and vocals would have to come from the wedge monitors
He discovered the mounted and floor toms a little bit after that lmao fucking sound guys. Back when I played out, never venues this large; I always did the "mic check/sound check" lighter and when we went on, I hit hard as absolute FUCK. I read it was (obvi) hot as the devil's dick, but still.
That just shows how good Evgeny is. You could hear the heel toe even without the triggers in there. Usually it doesn’t sound like anything good without that
@@charleschi843 No, good. I’m talking specifically about his heel-toe.you can have lots of power with heel toe technique, but a lot of the time it just makes the clip-clopiness worse. For example, Austin Archey’s heel toe would sound pretty bad without his triggers, because his seconds strikes are weak. Evgeny has a slightly different technique, and that leads to every note sounding even. He does static play through sometimes, (no triggers, audio from a GoPro) and it sounds like he’s using triggers because he’s that good at his second stokes. It’s a power thing yes, but it’s definitely not only power
The muscles required for dorsiflexion are smaller and weaker than those required to lift and press from the heel. Fascinating being a metal drummer/studying metal drumming. It essentially becomes an athletic pursuit!
Suck it seems like an awesome festival but a lot of people that went this year and last said it was a mess with the sound quality and just one big cash grab. It has potential to be one of the biggest festivals in the USA if it would get its shit together
@@arinsarris it’s just like that other guy said, they found the button to turn the triggers on at about 1:50 into it. Plus it sounded like the Tom mics just weren’t on the whole time. He’s so good though, that you can even hear the heel toe before the triggers come on, which is just crazy because that means his strokes are incredibly even, really hard to do.
Not to bad for beginners. They need to work harder. Singers OK but the rest of the band look lost like they have no idea how to perform in front of people
