    I bought a Yanigisawa tenor from China some years ago . It plays very well and looks good also . A great price.

    That's an amazing story. If I were to do a sabattical, I would have chosen to work at a winery, a pizza place in Naples, Italy, or at that sax factory. I would have brought my current and high school sax with me for comparing saxes, while learning the "clockworks" of a sax. My project would be to design my own sax.

    Fascinating!
    I am a great defender of Chinese saxes here in the U.K.
    I have one and I love it.
    It was probably made in that factory.

    This was nice to see. 13 years ago I bought a CE Winds tenor sax that was made in China. I still play it without any problems today.

    I have been playing saxophone for over 50 years, and I have never played a Chinese saxophone. I heard that they are not very good. It makes me think of when I was a kid. MADE IN JAPAN meant junk. Cheap toys and lousy tools that were not properly hardened. Today, MADE IN JAPAN means quality. Whether cameras, electronics, cars and musical instruments, Japan makes world class products. I know that there are very smart people in China, and they are capable of making supersonic aircraft and other high tech devices. The question is, has China put enough research into engineering a really high quality sax? I would like to try a couple of them to see for myself. I just ordered a C Melody sax mouthpiece, and I hope it works for me. Thanks for an interesting video.

      I've played for over 30 years, and in all my life I've known at the very least that Yanigasawa and Yamaha are very high quality. From what I've found, Yamaha at the very least was considered to be high quality when they first started producing professional saxophones. It might not have been widely known though.

    "China copies everything"
    People say that as if copying is easy. If copying can be easily done and is the singular factor to a nation's rise to prosperity, there shouldn't be any poor country existing still on our planet.

    Is it possible to make a left handed saxophone there?? Expecting a favorable reply ❤️

    • @RonaldStewart
      @RonaldStewart Год назад +2

      How would that work? The saxophone already requires both hands.

    • @ChrisF_1982

      You might already be at an advantage if you're left handed. Especially if you consider the LH palm keys and pinky table keys.
