I was in Warren Pennsylvania when this Radio Show Aired. Although I arrived back to my home that Ironically was 1-2 miles northeast of the California Speedway property, I didn't know about the show when I left Warren PA. If I had known about it before I went on my cross country road trip, I would have bought a few tickets.

I made the trek from Florida to the Fontana show. Still expected John to show up but that obviously didn’t happen. I do remember the traffic to the show was a nightmare.

I had brought a female friend from Warren PA. I showed her part of the old Rte 66 from the I-15 to the road I lived on. We arrived at my home during the night. I put my friend on a plane to go home 3 weeks later (was part of the plan) and I haven't seen her since that morning.

@@michaelworden9265 had a similar experience met up with a lady friend for the show, did the Doors haunts, went to the show and haven’t seen her since we left the airport. Time flies!

It sure does. 22 years later and I have been married to a woman who I only knew 3 weeks in June 2005. We celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary this year

    Strange arrangement of Strange days.

It would later become a song called Breaking A Sweat by a dub step artist known as Srillex featuring the Doors. It was the second to last song ever made to feature the doors. I had no idea it was once a reworking of Strang Days until just now, ironically their very last song was also a reworking of Strang Days with a rapper named Tech N9ne. Called Strang 13. Both Songs are good if you're open to different kinds of music. There is a brilliant part of Breakin a Sweat were a clip of Jim Morrison comes in and he's talking about what he thinks music will be like in the future, he says he can imagine a future where music is made by 1man and computers and machines.🔮

For me it's just great. It's an "evolution" of a great song and what is best is from the creator. Rip ray and jim.

I remember having many notes about this performance, from Ray's organ tone to Stewart not fitting in well with the rest of the band.

Stewart Copeland was a bad fit. Glad they nixed his involvement before touring.

Always good to hear the Doors music no matter what, but Morrison was just to big to replace and therefore they will never meet expectations, which is probabaly why no matter how many times the 3 survivors tried,it never quite worked.Morrison's personality fueled the lyrics with a sense of danger that cannot be recreated by just singing the words, when Jim screamed "break on thru" or "we want the world and we want it now" or "there;s a killer on the road" you knew he meant it and there was a sense that chaos could ensue and you might be in danger or get hurt,it upped your senses and made you feel that danger............keep trying guys I love hearing the Doors music, but without the Lizard King it will unfortunately always fall short, not hating just speaking how it is.

Robby's shows were much better IMO. No one was trying to be Jim. We were all happy hearing Robby and his kid sing the songs.
