The Gladstone Theatre in Port Sunlight is beautifully steeped in nostalgia with a stage surround that could almost be a huge Punch and Judy scene, stepping back into the past I risked it expecting a Rock & Roll show. What we saw was a full blown Big Band Boogie Woogie singing and dancing show with more than a little Spike Jones and the city Slickers (my all time favourites) running through it, the name Jive Aces doesn't do it justice as it is much more than that. Ten highly talented performers, unbelievable timing, split second choreography and fantastic personalities, please let me know when the next auditions are as this (bit past it now) is everything you ever wanted to do. I can't believe it was only three quarters full, non of the 40's re enactment crowd there as it must be the name putting them off, it's a great name but probably attracts R&Rers unless you research it on RUclips. Dear Dancer, as I was once addressed in a formal invitation, if you see this advertised, DO NOT MISS IT.
