CSX Dropping Rail along the Fitchburg Secondary! (6/7/24)

Hello Viewers,
We find ourselves starting in Sterling, Ma along CSX's Fitchburg Secondary, CSX's branch that extents from their Framingham yard to facilities as far north as Fitchburg. Today, CSX L004/W024 is seen heading south and dropping new rail for the reviving of the branch. CSX is looking to increase speeds from the current 10mph limit to 40mph with new tracks and equipment. The furthest north customer is in Leominster, not Fitchburg as it is abandoned between these two cities. Also the goal of the rebuild is Clsss 2 (25 MPH), not Class 3 (40 MPH.)
