I just got one last week. A little baby plant that was growing on the ground of a nursery (probably from a flower falling and it then grew as a plant there on the ground.) I'm actually excited to have her go crazy propagating!! The more succulents the better! Thank you for this awesome video, now I know how to populate them! :)
These Kalanchoe are regarded as invasive species in our country, South Africa, literally weeds, they multiply so rapidly and we cannot sell them. I have one though 😉 because I love the flower.
Eow. I have one of these plants that I rescued from the side of a Barnes and Noble. I had no idea what it was! Its starting to give babies. Thank you! Now i need to learn more and and see how to grow more!
I need to visit next time I am visiting my brother in Vacaville. I have lots of plantlets which have rooted ,and are about 3-5 mm dia. Butter don't get any bigger .....any ideas whether are not growing?
Its so true. I live in south Texas and I believe the nick name is chandelier plant. Those little seedlings are so aggressive. they even grow on concrete without soil or water. We threw them way out there in the property where no one hangs out. Went out there 2 yrs later. they are all over and over my head. Im 6 ft tall. So yes you do have to watch them. they are very aggressive.
David Ibarra that is a funny story! Mine has grown tall but only about 3 feet with babies all around it. I give them away to our guests they seem to really like them lol!
She has 2 different plants here doesnt she?! The delivery was contaminated. One is Delagoensis...the tall one, and the other smaller one with open leaves is Daigremontiana.
Yes! There are two different types.?.....the both may have the nickname mother of thousands or Mof Hundreds but there are definitely two different Kalanchoe shown here .....also only the daigremontiana is shown potted on
Thank You so much for this information! My grandchildren often help me out replanting and propagating my cactus and succulents, I have 3 of these oh my goodness so glad I came across you xxx
I know, this was a very old video before I could figure out why RUclips would have the volume higher than when I uploaded it and i learned to adjust the audio, ugh! I get asked this question a lot then and now and learned from it.
I know this vid is older but I love it bc all the other vids have this under the wrong name. They call it a dif Kalanchoe! And not the common name but the species name houghtonii
That's such a great looking Kalanchoe..I've not seen seen that variety. Looks like mother of 10,000's is accurate!! I may have to add that to my list of "wants"!
I enjoyed your video, I miss the hot air balloons in CA, I now live in KY, found your video trying to find info on my mother of thousands I found in a pot of an aloe Vera plant I thought it was so cute so I put it in a terra cotta pot on its own well I have several seeds spread in all my other plant pots and I love this plant it’s become one of my favorite succulents. Thanks for the info my plant grew leggy and I’m trying to learn how to care for it especially my main plant.
These are two different kalanchoe the first is Tubiflora but the other , I believe, is daigremontiana. They both have the common namesof Mother of Thousand, Mexican Hat plant Mother of hundreds which is very confusing. But the first plant has stick like leaves and second plant has broad flat leaves. The plantletts in the pots are daigremontiana not tubiflora Surprised to hear you are a Nappa.... my brother lives at Vacaville ...best wishes from 🇬🇧 England.
I only have mine for 2 weeks and noticed that some of the branches started to droop down. Kinda worried that I might be doing something wrong but your plant has the same droopy branches so I guess it's just normal.
The little plantlets will drop by themselves; the name Kalanchoe actually comes from a Chinese word- Kalan Chuahay literally meaning "that which falls and grows"! :-)
one more thing... Succulents do better outdoors than inside so maybe once or twice a week let them get some air in shady areas since they’re not used to direct sun indoors
Hi Soul Sugar Succulent. Thank you so much for your Kalanchoe Tubiflora video. I just happened upon it this morning. Very informative! I would like some Tubiflora babies and Alligator babies if available. Is your $2.50 postage offer still on? And, if so, where do I send it?
Louise Howard This was offered a long time ago, the babies don’t survive the mailings in the envelope. However, I can sell you a cutting for $2 each and to mail within the U.S. for $5.00 regular mail send payment to jcsgirl5252@yahoo.com via paypal
So glad you did this video. I have been looking at them on EBay but afraid of ordering from wrong seller. Who did you order from. Yours is amazing. I haven't seen the variegated.
Soul Sugar Succulent thanks will CK them out I enjoy your videos don't know why people watch a video for plant lovers just to give a thumbs down Just ignore these goobers and keep on doing what you do well.
Willa Johnson thank you for saying that! Yeah it's funny to me too but I don't do it for the trolls I do it for people like you who appreciate the same passions! I do ignore the goobers lol! Unless they give me reasons why the thumbs down, I would respect them more.
Soul Sugar Succulent Getting ready to send you some little plantlets and some leaves Got a bunch of the Alligator one. My neighbor has a plant we call tear drops or baby tears, she has had it for years, this week somehow about a hundred popped up under a bench growing in a carpet! Not even near the mother plant? ! I picked all of them out and potted, they already look like they have grown some (who wouldn't after living in an old carpet!! Will send some if you want them. Also have a hoya cutting if you want one. Waiting for plants I bought last week to perk up some before I send to you.
Victorious victories alleyne this plant? Yes! You can also check out my Etsy store same name, I have some other ones I’m selling there too. Also if you see anything that catches your eye in any of my videos, and I have a lot of it to spare, I’ll have them to sell! XOXO
Where I live in Australia that plant is cute but it is a noxious weed which means it can't be sold and you are not supposed to have it in your garden. When we were kids we used to call it "ant eater" because the spots looked like it had eaten ants.
I'm Australian and I love spreading this plant and other species in the genus whenever I see it! :-D It has bell flowers, and a woman I wanted to marry was named Belinda, so I like spreading the Bell flowers for her!

Seeing how it can kill cancer cells and your govt has made apricot kernels, ( which ABSOLUTELY Kill cancer cells) illegal, I'd caution you to KEEP THEM and do some research on their anti cancer and medicinal abilities. I'm in the USA & I can go less than 3 miles to get all the apricot kernels I can afford, but cant send them to a cousin in New Zealand who desperately needs them, because their govt passed an idiotic law banning them as food. I'm hoping they havent banned this too
I hate this plant now. I thought it was soooo unique when I first saw it. NOW it has taken over, even growing all over my brick seating area. I wish you could see mine. I just stuck it inside a pot with another plant and it is probably at least 4 feet tall now. It finally just toppled over and I'm not sure WHAT to do with it now. LOL. Sooooo invasive.
I have one of this , and they are doing very good. It's very big ,but the leaves r not drooping like urs ,u can see a pic of it in my Instagram page adybabiessucculents
I don't know, you are not having fun when the balloon is up there. You are invaded of your privacy of your house, front and back yard each time the balloon is flying overhead. They are having the fun and not you. Do you realize that?

lisett_WonderWoman you lucky duck! I am the same way I look at the ground and pick up stray leaves all the time! Lol! Good for you!!
These Kalanchoe are regarded as invasive species in our country, South Africa, literally weeds, they multiply so rapidly and we cannot sell them. I have one though 😉 because I love the flower.
Janine Fourie Wow! you’re not the first one who said that. I am
listening and pulling out unnecessary babies but you’re right it is a beautiful plant!
Lol, my Aunt was oh too happy to give me these as she said the same thing, they are weed to her lol
Such beautiful weeds tho. lol!
Soul Sugar Succulent They are!!
Also from South Africa and I love mine but its in a huge pot to catch all the little buggers they will take over rapidly if you dont keep a close eye
Eow. I have one of these plants that I rescued from the side of a Barnes and Noble. I had no idea what it was! Its starting to give babies. Thank you! Now i need to learn more and and see how to grow more!
How to grow this plant
ruclips.net/video/8lHtWuMMZwM/видео.html
Thank you. This is helpful. I've been wondering what i am going to do with the small things falling from the main plant. So this is it!
I need to visit next time I am visiting my brother in Vacaville. I have lots of plantlets which have rooted ,and are about 3-5 mm dia. Butter don't get any bigger .....any ideas whether are not growing?
They really like 4 hours of sun planted in the ground if at all possible 😀! Come on by
Its so true. David Ibarra that is a funny story! Mine has grown tall but only about 3 feet with babies all around it. I give them away to our guests they seem to really like them lol!
There's a few around my area in Sydney Australia I've found that are just shy of 6 ft, so I imagine they have the potential to get *over* 6 ft!!
I found one today that would have been over 7 ft, possibly over 8 ft if stretched out perfectly straight, as I found it twisted along the ground!
She has 2 different plants here doesnt she?! The delivery was contaminated. One is Delagoensis...the tall one, and the other smaller one with open leaves is Daigremontiana.

Correct

Well... WELCOME HOME!! Thanks for the kind words! I love when gardening becomes part of family activities especially for kids!! X❤️X❤️
I went in an air balloon when I was about 9 or 10. My dad pointed and told me to look over there! I turned around and boom he base jumped out!
why does the volume drop once you start showing the plant? goes from a normal volume to a whisper
I think that one may be Mother of Millions. But I’ve seen them called each way so ???
I think they're called both
The tall one is "mother of millions" . The small ones "mother of thousands". Two different plants.
That's such a great looking Kalanchoe..I've not seen seen that variety. Looks like mother of 10,000's is accurate!! I may have to add that to my list of "wants"!

Gracie Day welcome!!! Thank you for such kind words! I so enjoy reading them. Happy gardening! X❤️X❤️
Thank you so much for the details how to propagate a mother of thousand and have a nice day Godbless
chopsuey tv Same to you and God bless you as well!

Yes! Two different plants.
Be careful - thise things will take over your yard and you will never get rid of them
Eddie Valient it’s been 3 years and I only have the one plant lol
We have to send this to Mars to colonize it
fco córdoba m actually a good idea maybe get some oxygen in the air lol
I thought the same thing! I believe this plant is the perfect candidate for colonisation!
One little bump and handfuls of plantlets fall off.
I only have mine for 2 weeks and noticed that some of the branches started to droop down. Kinda worried that I might be doing something wrong but your plant has the same droopy branches so I guess it's just normal.
Mimi Reyes I think it's natural for them to droop in order to propagate the tiny little plantlets
The little plantlets will drop by themselves; the name Kalanchoe actually comes from a Chinese word- Kalan Chuahay literally meaning "that which falls and grows"! :-)
I got some from a lady I have 13 babies now im Waiting to see what they will do .
Can you tell me why my indoor Kalankoe is getting air roots? My outdoor one isn’t.
Connie Beal Probably needs more water... OR... it’s rootbound. Check underneath to see if roots are trying to crawl out
Soul Sugar Succulent ok will check. I have been watering it from the bottom. Other pot outside I water on top.
Connie Beal you might want to make sure when ur watering from the bottom the water reaches all the way to the top
one more thing... Succulents do better outdoors than inside so maybe once or twice a week let them get some air in shady areas since they’re not used to direct sun indoors
This plant is so cute when its a baby lol
Yes omg they are!
Do the leaves usually fall off with ease? Or does tat mean it needs water or has too much water
soniabebbington at a certain point they do fall off easily, this is their way of propagating
Soul Sugar Succulent OK thank you
💚🍀

Those are bending it needs more light for leaves to not turn down
Thank you but it is located in my garden where it gets the maximum amount of sun.
In order for it to flower, you'll want to limit its sunlight to less than 12 hrs a day! :-)
I have a plant like that mother of thousands and it grows like a pest in my garden..
Josephine Albarillo awww I don't think I would mind it just thin it out and give them away 😄
Where I live in Australia that plant is cute but it is a noxious weed which means it can't be sold and you are not supposed to have it in your garden. When we were kids we used to call it "ant eater" because the spots looked like it had eaten ants.
21Cauzzie lol! I love this plant. It gets such a bad rap but I love it!
I'm Australian and I love spreading this plant and other species in the genus whenever I see it! :-D It has bell flowers, and a woman I wanted to marry was named Belinda, so I like spreading the Bell flowers for her!

G. AL Ang Lol these people are tourists, I don’t feel invaded. I like seeing the balloons, they’re so awesome.
Thank you for being good with understanding about your situation and you take really good care of yourself :)
