Ooo this is really cool. She did a great job giving it that home-y feel but it’s still incredibly functional & spacey. Also I love all the pieces. Great taste. Her story is inspiring too. I feel nowadays we’re really pushed into this idea of working & consuming constantly. I’m happy she was able to become free & content.
The most significant thing she said was that she had ticked off the list of things that we are apparently ‘expected‘ to do and then realised that she was not feeling like she was in the place she wanted to be in life. That’s when she started living her actual ‘own‘ life. Far too many of us think about what other people want us to do rather than living our own life.
Totally agree. As an almost 60 y.o., I'm going to say if one is expecting "things" or experiences or someone else in life to label you 'complete', one will be chasing that one's whole life. Joy comes from within, from a deeper place.
I ❤️ your van/tiny. It is so nice. Your dog is great. Your personal style is perfect. I hope your jewelry business goes well. I really enjoyed the design. Thank you for sharing. The mandalas flow around it all. Will be watching for you. Great woman you: adventurer, Artist 🎨, earthmother, confident but so real. Beautiful.
Mankato says Minneapolis is living the dream. You've created your beautiful utopia. Your very creative and I really like what you've done with your home. Very inspiring. Thanks for sharing 👍
This is an amazing tiny home. Such beautiful and fun colors, textures, and patterns. Your traveling companion is adorable! Cattle dogs are the very best!
Beautiful van built in less than a month. Amazing, I loved the gorgeous roof. I’ve heard that blue ceilings on porches discourages wasps and similar insects from building nests. Thanks for sharing your lovely home.
I also have a hand painted sink that I have been considering putting in my van but was worried about it breaking. Thank you for showing me it will work.
Very cool. I like how your Swivel seats make it great as the common area leaving a separate dedicated fixed bed/comfort zone. I want to watch again. Happy trails to you.
Love your van and I will check out your jewelry because I love hand made jewelry. You have done an amazing jog with your build. Looks very comfy and homey.
Awesome Job!!! I'm looking to turn my rv into a mini home!!! Sold my house, and downsized to a condo! Rv would be my vacation home!!! Also have a cabin in Pennsylvania, going for my birthday this weekend!!! GL to you!!! 🙂😉
I was excited to see this one give the name Electric Van. I didn't see anything electric about it other than the regular essentials. Did I miss something?
Typically these van life hippies are all about liberal agenda… “climate change”, wet dreams of wind energy, electric vehicles, etc. so they are getting what they wanted.
@@Cookiecrumbles93 just wow. So you don’t believe in climate change, haven’t noticed the major shift all companies are making to solar/electric and you have no clue what’s going on in the vanlife community? Everyone, We should all listen to this guy he seems so smart!!!
I don’t live in a van but hubby and I considered it early in our marriage. We discussed safety and things like having a dog, alarms, phone charged and easy access to 911 calling quickly were things we talked about. Traveling with others would be smart for safety as well as help if any break downs etc. Maybe try a long road trip in a rented rv or something to give it a try before making it permanent. Try researching van life and nomad life for more safety tips and things. It seems like it could be a lot of fun and amazing experiences and see a lot of places but also stressful and maybe hard at times as well. Maturity level and ability to handle crisis and stress I think will also make a difference on the experience had. Just my opinions and thoughts. As a mama I would be so nervous if my son wanted to do this but also I know someday I have to let him do his thing. New appreciation for the gray hairs I gave my folks. Hope you and your daughter figure it out together amicably.
@@amberjoowens 2 immediate issues for you: 1. Neil Aspinall gave us facts, why then is he misogynistic? 2. Why be butthurt? Have you and your dog been harmed and is your dog carnivorous?
You have insulted this beautiful human on a few posts now implying she is unhygienic and lacking somehow. It’s not nice.. it’s rude and she is kind enough to invite us into her home. I would be embarrassed if I acted like that as a guest. What protection or security she uses is not your business either. Why post that info out for potential creeps to see. Yes there are definitely potential creeps out there. I’m looking at you guys overly concerned with her personal habits beyond how she set up her van. God created all kinds of people so all I will say in closing is you really miss the purpose of the visit. It’s a lovely and very well set up van build and I enjoyed seeing it. Love the little plants especially.
I admire her skill, jewel-making and her independence... but my impression is that she's one not into self-hygiene. Once a week waste disposal and no shower, hippie style with tattoos and nose piercing plus a hairy armpit. With a big dog for a companion. Just my opinion.
There is absolutely nothing _wrong_ with anything you listed.. The only thing _wrong_ is that society told you those things are wrong. She just thinks for herself and doesn't care what others think which is freeing because you know, judgmental people ;)
@@amberjoowens Ma'am, your body hair has a lot to do with your hygiene specially the underarm hair, for females it's part of grooming and etiquette to remove armpit hairs. It's unsightly as well as the cause of body odor. Washing/bathing once a week aggravates the situation. Men do not shave because they reason that it's part of their masculinity but there is no need for women to show any masculinity but rather to show beauty and womanliness and not a beastly armpit. What's the point of keeping them anyway when we were given brains on how to care for our body. First, it's unsightly and scary, moreso for women. It's either you are lazy when it comes to hygiene or you just have the tribal mentality. Second, it's socially unethical and if you love wearing tank tops and sleeveless shirts, you cannot hide the fact that you don't shave/clean your underarm. Last, Hey we're in year 2022, armpit hair laser removal is everywhere, why not try it if you are too lazy to shave your armpits. According to study: Armpit hair can influence underarm odor. Researchers found that the absence of hair optimizes cleansing and makes one’s daily hygiene more effective in reducing body odor. The sweat glands, including those under your arms, produce sweat that mixes with bacteria, causing the telltale unpleasant scent of body odor. Having hair under your arms can make you feel warmer, which can cause more sweat. There's also the fact that hair is porous, so it traps odors and lets them hang around for far longer than they otherwise would.
I didn't notice the blue ceiling because when I look up it's a different color that I see, it's black... the black hair armpit when she lifts her arm to point something up. I'm lame as well.
I got a sink 3 yrs ago from a yard sale that is similar!!I am saving it for my Tiny Whatever🤞Love her van!!🪴

Great ideas. Very much a home feel to this build. It says so much about the woman of the house and her personal mantra. Cheers from Canader eh!
We In The south paint our porch ceilings blue to keep spiders and carpenter bees from making a home there. It works.
