옛날 생각 난다!Reminds me of the old days! Even 50 years ago, Korea used it for mills and water pumps. At that time, the name was Pidaejul. Now it is Belt. If you put soil on the outside, you will lose the impeller! It must be because it is urgent!
The water pump and the engine are both old model it's too difficult to operate. Here in the Philippines we use compact and modern water pumps mostly made in Japan. It's easy to operate ,farmers here are now adapting modern technology in farming.

These boys do not know how to start the engine. Starting itself they are putting the belt on the load pully at the beginning the belt should be on theloose pully, when the mechine attains the full speed the belt should be pushed over the load pully. Before that water should be filled in the delivery pipe and one should catch the through water in a bucket/or container to put it back in the l bend pipe that is the procedure to follow.
These guys need to be taught some simple engineering eg a water tank above outlet I guess the pump does not belong to them they looked like they were dress for an outing not for work
This is like what Issac Newton said.when he was asked about his failures in inventing electric bulb, these guys have nicely demonstrated how to nicely £u¢€ up an irrigation pump by putting inside muck and sand and damaging the impeller.

They need to make a priming tank above the pump. Just open a valve to prime, then close when working.
