bruh i had an orchestra concert yesterday and i watch SIXTH GRADERS play this and they did sooooo good. just listening to this makes me know that they made NO mistakes!! my concert went worse than this. its so good 😭
@@Sanjay.2133 I've been 2nd violin in the 5th grade, 6th grade, 7th grade (junior high, 1st year), 8th grade (again, jr. high, 2nd year), last year (sophomore in high school, 1st year of high school) and finally, this year (I am a junior). (The reason why I didn't put 9th grade, my freshman and final year of Jr. High is because by tradition, freshmen in orchestra get to be 1st for the entire year).
I’m a ninth grade cello player and my teacher pulls our this song when ever we need to play for an assembly or something lol. It’s super easy, but I love the song it’s self. Sounds really cool :P
ahh, i played this in my youth symphony as a viola in 6th grade. a pretty easy piece once you get the hang of the notes, but super fun! wish i could play this again, it was deffo my favorite piece that quarter.
I got into honor orchestra this year as a 5th grader and we get to play these songs but it's not a challenge anymore because it's easy for me to play them. Here they are Dragonhunters Pieces of Eight A Beethoven Lullaby
This song is so beautiful! My teacher was thinking about playing it for our Spring Concert, but we will end up playing Orange Jam instead. Hopefully we get to play this song at some point though!
I’m watching this, I’m a 7th grader right now and I have to perform this at my concert playing Viola... I’ve watched this about 4 times and every single time I watch it I want to cry... I can’t do it I’m so scared lol!
Go to the video settings (3 dots in the corner of the screen) and select “playback speed.” Take it down to 50% and that should make it should be easier to play along. Once you’re comfortable with that speed, try 75% and then work up to 100%. Also, using headphones might make it easier to listen and play at the same time. Good luck!
I'm excited to help out the younger orchestra with this piece! they're missing a second violin and I am going to sub in, though I usually frequent being in the first section.
Oh I remember a school playes this in my middle school festivals... Yeah... They were good but the choice of song didnt work for them enough for them to be 2nd place orchestra we were the 1st place orchestra every year btw (we played mythos, for the star of county down, and the lady)
Take it slowly, don’t worry about dynamics, just make sure you’re at a steady tempo, and playing the notes in tune. Once you get it practice at a faster tempo as the piece was intended to be, and also try bouncing you’re bow. It’s a technique called spicatto. I hope this helped
Love it. Not the hardest but it sounds amazing and one of my favorites to play since we don't actually play one note the whole time. (I'm be sarcastic. I play the cello)
I played this in the Quad Concert (Two orchestras from my school playing in concert with orchestras from West Junior High and South Junior High) last year (I was a sophomore, next year I'll be a senior!).
I know ALL of us can agree that this is everyone's favorite piece or was at some point. its been 7 years and I still love it!
It was one of my favs too
