I bought my 41.5mm Nebula more than 2 years ago in Kuwait and I enjoy it very much like I did during the first few days when I had it. I can’t wait to buy the stainless steel bracelet once it becomes available for this watch!
Regardless of the continuity of Arnold and Son's business unit, they are certainly fulfilling the continuity of artisanal design and execution. This brand is truly for lovers of horology who can overlook the investment qualities. On the wrist, they look even more fantastic. In the past I was concerned about the 43+ mm sizes being a little large for the designs but this exhibition is really softening me up!
A&S is so underrated. I have the DSTB and there's nothing like it! I'd love to add the Globetrotter or the Luna Magna one day, after I've fulfilled my hunting for other pcs on my radar first :D. Anyway, glad for WB to do a spotlight on them.
Hi, do you have the white gold or steel, and what's the thickness - I think Tim mentioned 13.1mm in another review? I hadn't noticed this design unti today, but the wife approved it immediately so now it's on my shopping list after the VC 1921.
@@davidjb3671 Mine is the steel model with black dial. I'm not sure about the thickness though, will need to measure it first. The VC 1921 should be thinner. The DSTB has a boxed crystal so it adds to the thickness.
I purchased the Arnold & Son CTB 2 years ago from WatchBox and absolutely love the watch. I have a large wrist and was slightly concerned about the size, 44mm, but based on the shape of the lugs and where they are drilled the watch fits like a 42mm watch. I never grow tired of watching the sweeping chronograph second hand chasing the true beat second hand around the watch. I can’t think of another watch that provides such an intricate dial, hand finishing and high horology for the price on the used market.
A&S are making some great watches. I like that history with Breguet too, that's pretty cool; speaks to me at least. One thing they need though is the one, quintessential Arnold and Son - not three of them. That and a sports watch, a Czapek competitor, not necessarily an integrated bracelet watch but something to draw in the younger crowd. And I have to give them credit, sitting down with Tim and showcasing your watches would be nerve-wracking. Hopefully WB teams up with A&S like they did with Debethune.
Awesome pieces, quality looks amazing. I have heard of crazy service issues that need to be hemmed out. If you create a super high quality time piece, the level of service must be par in all aspects. I don’t own a A&S, I came close but went to a different manufacturer because of this. I hope for a better experience for A&S customers in the service area to keep there clients and grab more enthusiast like myself to purchase in the future, Jeff.
@@TechPanzer Agreed, though on the plus side practically any competent watchmaker can service a 2892, so sending it back to the original manufacturer out of warranty was the first mistake. Still scary though I'll admit.
Interesting pieces, though I tend to agree with Mr Dufour on the utility of tourbillons, and they often seem to be used to compensate for a lack of ideas and originality elsewhere in the design. I do like the DSTB and the Luna Magna though, especially the latter when you consider that every other conventional '2D' moonphase display looks nothing like the actual shape of the waxing and waning moon.
The Luna Magna is really nice, but I still think the previous generation (no constellations on the moon ring) HM Perpetual Moon in black dial is the best looking moon phase watch bar none. It's on my grail watch list.
I just ordered the Angelus U41 Flying Tourbillom in Blue thru the AD. It will arrive in two weeks direct from Angelus and it's one of the most confutable and lightest pieces I've ever worn ever it also wears a bit smaller than 42mm which I like. Angelus produces the U41 entirely by hand and releases them in small quantities.
Can’t recall if I’ve ever watched any of your videos before? Either way wearing sunglasses on your head looks cheap compared to how you are dressed. Look I’m one of the biggest Oakley fans alive however, I would never wear a pair on my head while shooting a professional video especially when it detracts from the original content of the video.
@@scottmakis7070 I imagine that Mr Einstein would have been much more successful with a nice neat haircut. Clearly you have no idea who or what you're talking about, and the universal respect and affection for Tim from within the watch industry and community.
@@davidjb3671 well he’s obviously not Einstein 🤷♂️ and you don’t have to be a little cry baby just because I made a comment about the sunglasses on his head. As I said there’s a time and a place for that look.
Thank you so much for this video! So tired of the same brands day after day on every RUclips channel. Stunning and creative Watch design.
You beat me to the punch. This is refreshing and 1000x more interesting than the typical watch video on RUclips.

Glad you shined more light on this manufacture. Great show Tim!
Great show Tim. Thanks for focusing on this great brand. I learnt a lot and enjoyed it too!

Thanks for placing your trust in our company D Miller! We’re glad that you still love your Arnold & Son!
Great format. In depth in one brand. Looking forward to more 👍🏻🇬🇧

Something to draw the younger crowd could be a 41.5mm Nebula on a stainless steel bracelet.
Should I go for an arnold nebula 38 or a moser? Im thinking Moser is the next hype watch so it could be a good investment as well.
What is the third name that you mention at 23:27 ? I heard Parmigiani and LUC chopard but cannot catch the other one
Hi! Tim mentioned Ferdinand Berthoud alongside Parmigiani and LUC Chopard...
@@the1916company Thank you!

I had a great service experience.
The 2 watch makers I’m most grateful to Brother Mosso for introducing to me are A&S and H. Moser.
I’m curious to know if the proximity of the tourbillons is close enough to create a resonance effect.
Great show guys! Perfect sunday talk
anyone know why they discontinued the DBG?
Good show for both those who know about the brand as well as those who discover it today
Brilliant video as always from Tim👌🏼
The Time Pyramid has been my grail for some years. Now I just need to save up and get a custom version...
Love this video. Learned a lot about two brands I hardly knew of.
Great brand great products. My only gripe is service prices. Nothing else.
Those are appalling indeed....
Roughly what are we talking for a service of a modern model?
Yes, check out Federico's channel a couple of months back for the episode titled 'Overcharging and Deception' - an absolute horror story.
@@davidjb3671 Holy shit, $1450 to repair a ETA 2892, during 8-10 weeks might I add, is beyond insane.

I had a Rolex for 20 years; I got tired of wearing it, so I sold it, and bought a Ulysse Nardin San Marco. I have never looked back!
What a treat!!!!! A&sons is seriously beautiful with high craftsmanship!
Fantastic company and pieces... Good interview, vast time in tourby's, thanx Tim... 🥃

You guys made me feel proud to be an Oris owner. Thank you.
late to the party but love the A&S Nebula
I just wish their lugs were longer & their prices were a little bit lower. Other than that, it's a great in house brand.

Great video love the various watches!
Brilliant. I learned a great deal about this brand.
Great interview.
Doesn't mean the watches aren't pieces of absolute horological artwork!! Beautiful
Fab Vid stunning watches!
Would have been great to talk about after sales costs.
Under the Citizens watch group.
CVSTOS uses Palladium on their watches as well.
This is like QVC for 25 grand watches.
WOW 1st class very kool great info. AAAAAAAAAAA++++++++++++ again great video I liked it a lot keep up the great work
The Angelus watch is amazing value.
great underrated brand.
21:11 Tim’s pick!
Yes!!!
Just curious why your sunglasses are upside down on you head... is that a fashion statement?
I just put them there when I'm not wearing them.
Best,
Tim
I can tell you what the 'typical' Arnold and Son customer is: Rich People!.
❤❤❤
Tourbillon porn !!
This is my cup of tea.
Absolutely wonderful watches.
Many thanks for the show.
He says everything is hand finished and then 5 seconds later Tim shows that machine bevel on the Nebula movement...
Where did you see the machine bevel?
@@user-wi9nn6dz8w 12:34 for example
I love these watch’s…but who is buying them? I don’t know anybody who knows anybody that has an A&S watch…
You might want to reshoot this video without the sunglasses on your head!
First time watching Tim?
