iOS 18.2 has been the best update for me in terms of battery life. In 24 hours my battery only went down 34% with 4 hours and 24 minutes of screen on time. Features are great as well in my opinion.
I have a iPhone 15 and on IOS 18.2 and my battery drains a lot when the screen is off. I start off with a full battery but a couple of hours go by and I lose 15% for doing nothing!
I personally had a lot of AirTags and had to uninstall the "Find my" app because of AirTags draining the battery during the night (happens since YEARS) on my 14 PM. It doesn't actually disable any Find my features. I now track my AirTags or People trough the Watch.
@@zollotechhe's talking about the dark mode icons , they glitch when you switch to light or dark mode icons when adding a new wallpaper, i restored my phone and all and i noticed its not the phone is actually the update .

Nope me too. My 15 plus had better battery life than my 16 pro max does now following the 18.2 update. Apple are just shit now. It no longer (and hasn’t for a while) “just works”. Every update more buggy and glitchy than the last whole they focus on stupid gimmicks and “features” nobody gives a rats a$$ about. I’m so so so over Apple. If it wasn’t going to cost me a fortune changing devices for my son - I’d be pre-ordering whatever the 25 Ultra is.
I know mine is a little bit old especially since I got a 11pro, but mines been draining crazy fast, this summer I’m gonna update to a 15 pro or pro max. 😅
Just that 18.2.1 is coming. That isn’t really tremendous news. Needs to find a way to cope with the fact that 18.3 beta has been pretty lackluster so far.

Last night I was trying to take a video, and the camera focus went nuts and had the camera flickering and unable to focus. I shut the phone off and it cleared up and functioned properly. I've never had that problem with any iPhone or OS ever.
Does anyone else have the problem on iOS 18.2 that the volume changes from one moment to the next? For example, I have the volume set to 30% and suddenly the volume jumps to 100%.
I just installed iOS 18.3 public beta a few days ago and it’s actually been running smoothly on my iPhone 13. I wasn’t planning on installing it but then I just wanted to get the download but then I wasn’t paying attention. My phone didn’t notify me when the update was downloaded instead it was just downloading installed on its own so when I turned it on it was just installing so I had nothing to do but instead update my iPad ninth generation as well to 18.3 public beta it’s actually been running smoothly. I like it Waiting for public beta too.

On my 14 pro i have had shutdowns randomly. I opened apple music played a song and locked the device and it immediately restarted the phone ios 18.2. On my 16 pro max, haven’t had this problem.
recently got the bug that when you click on the emoji button it takes sometimes up to 1 second until the emojis appear…after restarting it’s fixed but only for a day or two

IOS 18.2 is doing fantastic im getting 12/14 hours of screen on time with my 15 plus it has 72 charge cycles i mainly use YT and YT music and phone calls its been a nice improvement i can sometime get 4 days of use with out charging im loving my 15 plus.
My main issue at this point is the keyboard, and some missing features i thought we’d get on older iPhones (such as natural language in searches, battery charge limiting, and layered recording in Voice Memos). But yeah, the keyboard im just so over. Constantly making typos when i feel i’m typing correctly, input lag, and they NEED TO REMOVE THE FRIGGIN PERIOD IN THE KEYBOARD IN SAFARI

I have noticed on my 16 Pro Max that the 18.2 has killed my battery life. I got this phone expecting killer battery life as reviewers all stated it was amazing. My 15 plus lasted longer than my 16 pro max is. I’m annoyed.

Home and lock screen draining battery with every setting turned off is just abismal. Im seriously considering switching away from Apple as they clearly lost their path with IOS18. No matter what people like this guy (who i followed and listened a lot in the past) say. Paying 1k bucks to spend hours googling how to solve your issues (unsuccessfully) is not a premium experience. No one here offered any assistance either since they have no clue.
(iPhone 15 Pro Max) I've been having major issues with widgets disappearing, especially on the lock screen. Like, on the main home screen I'll see the outline of the widget, but there's nothing inside of it... if that makes sense. If I back out to the lock screen and go back in, they're fine. Tapping on them does nothing. I'm updating to 18.3 beta to see if there are any fixes... can't say that I've ever *personally* experienced a bug this bad in all my years of beta testing for Apple. If the bug is still there, I may wipe the phone and do a fresh install. Thank you, Aaron, for your vids!!
Ios 18.2 keeps on deleting messages and keep sending them to the delete folder then put em down at 1 day instead of of the 30 days i have to keep restoring them and they keep getting moved to the delete folder
If you want Siri to use ChatGPT you have to specifically ask for it when talking to Siri. Also, the downloading must be completed and you have to have ChatGPT enabled in the Apple Intelligence settings.
I’m still having touchscreen and keyboard issues. Also having an issue where the screen dims and then slowly gets brighter. I have adaptive brightness turned off so it’s not that. Battery life has been great though.

iOS 18.3 for me has my iPhone not charging overnight past 59%. Three days in a row now i put on the charger overnight and it won’t charge. I have to power cycle the next morning and plug in again. 😑
Next year we will have iOS 19 macOS 16 which will not add too much new features but will refine the operating system with Apple intelligence and focus on stability.
The Writing Tool doesn’t appear in the popup menu in WhatsApp on iOS 18.3. Writing Tool was working with WhatsApp on IOS 18.2 but as soon I updated to IOS 18.3 that disappeared.
Using iPhone 12 on ios 18.2. A few glitches here and there. Sometimes it shows 20 hours screen on time and it also drains a lot of battery (86 % health). Other than that from visual point of view I like it but now I really feel like it's time for an upgrade.

Whatever happened to addressing known issues to keep an OS stable, before introducing other features that could cause even more problems. A problem I’ve had since version 18 and it happened to my prior iPhone 14 Pro Max while connected via Bluetooth to my vehicles and it happened to my 2016 Ford Transit sync 3, 2017 RAM 1500 Uconnect 8.4, and my new 2022 Ford Transit Sync 4. If I go to my text messages, select a message and select the option to speak a message to me, the audio cuts in and out. The temporary fix I found is have music playing in the background for example Spotify, then go to the text message and have it speak to me again. It will turn down the music and speak the message to me perfectly. I have no idea why this fixes the problem, but the problem exists on two different model phones, same iOS. That is why they are allowed by carriers to control the software updates as Apple has a contractual obligation to make sure all iPhones are updated on all networks. This is why you see it take so long for Android to roll out on some brands as they have to be confirmed by carriers first.
I am very disgusted with Apple right now for the first time in a long time. Ever since updating to iOS 18.1 from iOS 17.6 I’ve had nothing but battery issues and email load issues. Saying that I regret updating to 18 is an understatement. Apple needs to stop releasing all these updates, and fix the basic issues like the email download errors, battery life and problems with the touchscreen and other users have reported. Updating to 18.2 did not solve a single issue either. This is horrible customer service, and Apple truly does take their customers for granted. These products are too expensive, not to have basic functionality.
It is huge issue with icons. On 18.3 from some reason if I'm in a dark mode and icons are in dark mode as well sometime light icons popping up. Also health app was not updated at all from the version 16. For the people who need to take medication is very limited app. So I have to use always 3rd part.
IP16PM on 18.3 beta. Screen freezes, on RUclips the search screen is inaccessible at top and you have to exit out and start a new screen to search or use the screen. Still buggy!
Would one recommend updating to the 18.3 PB over the stable 18.2? I’m on 18.2 right now and I’m still having a lot of issue with screen sensitivity. I’m quite often having to go back and correct text because of misspells and such because of the touch issue. Battery life is great however. I can get almost 2 days out of a charge.
I look forward to them, fixing the timer, Bug. As it stands now the device that has the timer going off so the alarm is sounding that device does not respond when you ask, you know who to turn it off or cancel it. One of the other Apple devices responds, saying there is no timer.

17.7 was good. But 18.2 has been excellent. I stayed on 17.7 until Christmas. Just got 18.2 and I am surprised it’s so good

I noticed that as well, the RUclips icon for example. It remains light on the dark icon mode. I had to remove it from the home screen and re-add.

This update completely disables the audio driver on the IPad 7. There is no sound at all. Hopefully they fix it soon.

So far I’ve not had too many issues but lag & recognizing my devices via Bluetooth that never had issues prior but restarting helps

Does 18.3 solve the runaway volume control on HomePod that some of us are having? Mine is unusable.
Not sure as I am not running the beta on HomePOD. However, I havent had any volume issues on any homepod yet.

I got an iPhone 16 pro max today on sale. So I am on 18.2 now, however it is SUPER buggy compared to iOS 17.7.2.

iPhone 15 18.2 update 1) when i get an email notification i get the sound but nothing shows up on my Home Screen when phone is locked 2) when my phone is locked and i get a text notification my screen flickers when illuminating to display the message 3) App Store loads extremely slow
Apple just forcing people to stay on latest software,on my old android I can go back to old software even on windows computer.would very much like the ability to install any ipsw as far back as iOS 14
That is why they are allowed by carriers to control the software updates as Apple has a contractual obligation to make sure all iPhones are updated on all networks. This is why you see it take so long for Android to roll out on some brands as they have to be confirmed by carriers first.

I am very disgusted with Apple right now for the first time in a long time. Ever since updating to iOS 18.1 from iOS 17.6 I’ve had nothing but battery issues and email load issues. Saying that I regret updating to 18 is an understatement. Apple needs to stop releasing all these updates, and fix the basic issues like the email download errors, battery life and problems with the touchscreen and other users have reported. Updating to 18.2 did not solve a single issue either. This is horrible customer service, and Apple truly does take their customers for granted. These products are too expensive, not to have basic functionality.
How many more Iphones will now be almost obsolete, Apple worth trillions I wonder how.
It is huge issue with icons. On 18.3 from some reason if I'm in a dark mode and icons are in dark mode as well sometime light icons popping up. Also health app was not updated at all from the version 16. For the people who need to take medication is very limited app. So I have to use always 3rd part.

IP16PM on 18.3 beta. Screen freezes, on RUclips the search screen is inaccessible at top and you have to exit out and start a new screen to search or use the screen. Still buggy!
Hotspot not working Properly
Battery helth on my 13 Pro went from 84% to 79% in 3 days after updating to 18.3 dev beta 1...
Would one recommend updating to the 18.3 PB over the stable 18.2? I’m on 18.2 right now and I’m still having a lot of issue with screen sensitivity. I’m quite often having to go back and correct text because of misspells and such because of the touch issue. Battery life is great however. I can get almost 2 days out of a charge.
My iphone 11 sometimes unlocks on my brothers face (we are not twins and look different)... Is it a glitch or what?

I look forward to them, fixing the timer, Bug. As it stands now the device that has the timer going off so the alarm is sounding that device does not respond when you ask, you know who to turn it off or cancel it. One of the other Apple devices responds, saying there is no timer.
I had to upgrade my internet modem yesterday so I hope that I don’t lose connection like before 😊❤
