❤️BIBLE VERSES OF THE DAY❤️ Hebrews 5:7-10 NIV 7 During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. 8 Son though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered 9 and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him 10 and was designated by God to be high priest in the order of Melchizedek.
When he told her what the name meant...""My darling my blood", I could not hold back the tears... Because she then really knew he saw her as his daughter. They needed each other so much.
I can’t watch this movie multiple time like others because it tears my heart apart. The three main actors are phenomenal together, the writing is exceptional.
The mean woman who in the end destroys Margaret, was played by professional boxer Lucia Rijker, who also trained Hillary Swank inte the beast she became.
The whole first 20 minutes if this reaction was me saying to myself “this poor woman thinks it’s a feel good story” and that made me sad myself. Clint really perfected the father with a troubled relationship to his children type character.
This is Eastwoods best work Imo,and I am surprised there are only a handful of reaction channels that have reacted to this gem,as I am also baffled as why their are no reactions to the Movie Dreamer with Kurt Russel and Dakota Fanning,Slingblade has also flown under the reactors radar,it was Billy Bob Thornton's first film and was brilliant
Hello Californiablend, I knew that you would like this movie, only didn't know the degree that you would. It hasn't lost its punch. It's excellent. As an aside, this movie, though not planned to be, was the last movie that I saw in the theater. " Hey! "
Great movie young lady. I also enjoyed watching it once again. Here are just four of my favorite movies that you and your viewers may also want to watch. "The Beguiled", "Play Misty for Me", "Dirty Harry" and "The Gauntlet". Enjoy. Have a Blessed Day. Adios.
@mattlawrence1932 She made a movie called Ordinary Angels. I’ve seen the trailer and so it looks really good. I think it was released in the Spring of this year.
Great reaction, as always! I would recommend Mystic River, another brilliant film in his directing catalogue. His acting is iconic, but his directing skill may be even better, partly because of his ability to bring great performances out of his actors. Cheers!
Jerry Boyd wrote the original story in a book titled “rope burns” under the pen name ‘F.X Toole” He was a fixture at Broadway Boxing in LA helping Dub Huntley train fighters. He was as honest as anyone you’d ever meet, which in this business qualifies one for sainthood. JB died of pneumonia in 02 well before the movies release. I sure wish he could have seen it.
The mother told Maggie she lost the fight. But that's not true. The dirty fighter would have been disqualified, as the referee said. Maggie would have been winner by default.
"It wasn't your fault. I was wrong to say that." "You're damn right. I found you a fighter. You made her the best fighter she could be." "I killed her." "Don't say that. Maggie walked through that door with nothing buts guts. No chance in the world of being what she needed to be. It was because of you that she was fighting the championship of the world. You did that. People die everyday, Frankie - mopping floors, washing dishes and you know what their last thought is? I never got my shot. Because of you Maggie got her shot. If she dies today you know what her last thought would be? I think I did all right." Fun Fact: Boxing and kickboxing champion Lucia Rijker, who also played the part of Billie "The Blue Bear" in this movie, was Hilary Swank's boxing coach. Basic Training Fact: Hilary Swank underwent a serious training schedule to prepare for this movie. She gained nearly twenty pounds of muscle due to the workouts. Music Enthusiast Fact: The song played on the bagpipes at the beginning of the final fight is The Rising Of The Moon (1866) and is an Irish rally song about the underdog Irish Army as they rebelled against the British in 1798. Authentic Battle Damage Fact: Hilary Swank contracted a bacterial infection from a blister she developed on her foot during training for her role. The infection was so serious that she almost had to be hospitalized for three weeks. Catching the infection in the nick of time, she instead chose to take a week off for medicated rest and didn't tell Clint Eastwood or the other producers of this movie about the injury, because she didn't believe it was in character.
Great review of a fantastic movie. I was in tears at your reaction just like when I watched the movie the first time. "Girlfight" with Michelle Rodriguez is a great boxing movie with a female lead.
You're right, the film has a lot in common with Gran Torino, is in many ways its counterpart, especially the death of the mentor in one film and the end of his protégé in the other is a very good example. I never thought about the connection between these films before, but that's exactly the kind of suggestion I love good reactions so much for. Btw, actors seem to be the best directors, that's why Clint Eastwood (Gran Torino, Million Dollar Baby) is one of them, along with Mel Gibson (Hacksaw Ridge, Apokalypto), while another is Kevin Costner, whose film "Dances with Wolves" (1990) I definitely wanted to recommend at this point.
You have such a unique and beautiful insight into how to react to special movies like this gem, Yeah I cried and dont mind admiting it and for a so called big hard cage fighter well lets just say my street cred went completely out the window but I'm ok with that.
I was so surprised to see you pick this one. I thought you would be in total tears by the end. But you came through it well. Great movie, emotional roller coaster. But well worth watching as long as you're not looking for a feel good movie.
Clint is my favorite director next to Nolan. His slow-paced and beautiful storytelling style is just fantastic, the same feel and quality you'll get from another film of his, Flags of Our Fathers. I wish there were more reactions to Flags.
Eastwood became a true artist from the moment he directed his first film. But it took decades before the Academy understood that. Quick fact: Boxing matches used to last 15 rounds. But too many fighters were seriously (and sometimes permanently) injured. A few even died. So they were shortened to 12 rounds
You have such a likeable nature, but I really think your reaction videos would be more watchable if they had fewer, longer clips, instead of so many clips of only a few seconds each.
I know boxing it’s so beautiful how this movie captures humble beginnings, great facts and how things really are in the world of sweet science 🥊 🌍 , there a scene where Maggie is actually training to fight orthodox when she’s a southpaw. Honestly this best movie about boxing for people interested in getting into it 🥊 , it’s raw and un sugar coated 👍🏻
My all time favorite Clint Eastwood movie 😊 Yeah I love a lot of Eastwood movies, Fist Full Of Dollars, Pale Rider, The Outlaw Josie Wells, Gran Torino, even the TV show Rawhide. But this one gets me in the feels every time I see it.
I don't know why I wasn't never in a hurry to see this movie. Now I know why. A highly sensitive good movie. Morgan Freeman narrative in any movie takes it to another level.
Another excellent film with a similar theme is "The Wrestler" with Mickey Rourke playing the title character who has a troubled relationship with his daughter. However, he ends up connecting with a younger woman, played by Marisa Tomei.
Love that you dive right in with the reaction and don't spend the first five min talking about likes and subscribe and patreon and blah blah blah. We all know that stuff right? Thank you. 😎👍❤️
The one who played Billie the Blue Bear, on the DVD, there was an interview with her. She was a real fighter, and she was a real sweetheart too. She had nothing but praise for Hilary Swank and how she powered through some physical scenes. Oh, and, I cry every damned time. Usually, I turn the movie off before Maggie gets hurt. I just assume she won. 😁
As good as the movie is, it’s nowhere near as good as the original story in “Rope Burns” I wish Jerry could have seen the film. I know he would have loved it
@@franklerch1012 You are one weird dude. And wrong. Art is escapism, an approximate representation of reality. This movie wasn't art, it was an exact depiction of tragic events. It's the difference between a painting and a photograph. Go visit a shrink.

Beautiful verses.
Thank you Jesus!
please consider full length reactions. i bet they'd be great.
I love Morgan freemen in this movie
When he told her what the name meant...""My darling my blood", I could not hold back the tears... Because she then really knew he saw her as his daughter. They needed each other so much.
Bridges of Madison County is romantic story with Clint Eastwood ❤️

I cried for what felt like an hour straight with this movie. Man....😢
I’d love for you to watch Clint Eastwood in Every which way but loose would love to see your reaction 😂

I miss Hilary, she needs to do more films!!! This was like the peak of her career & then she kinda just disappeared
What happened to Hilary?? She was awesome, but suddenly I never see her in no movies ever. Put her in the MCU, Netflix, HBO whatever she deserves it
She had a TV show a year or so ago called Alaska Daily but unfortunately was cancelled after 1 season
@mattlawrence1932

I was wondering about that. Seemed wrong if that cheat move benifited Billie.

Girlfight is also a good film about a female boxer in high school, set in Brooklyn NY. Michelle Rodriguez is the lead.
Yup.
Winner of 4 Oscars including Best Picture!
10 minutes in and she has no idea what’s coming! 25 minutes in, still no idea what’s coming!
Great review of a fantastic movie. I was in tears at your reaction just like when I watched the movie the first time.
"Girlfight" with Michelle Rodriguez is a great boxing movie with a female lead.
It won tons of awards
Movies shouldn’t be allowed to be this sad. Love the book *Rope Burns* from which this story is from.
I don't know why nobody has reacted to Cinderella Man. Based on a true story.
She's got a broken eardrum..
"WOW, you can break that?!?!"
😂😂😂😂

I've never quite understood why Clint made this movie
But he sure made a good job of it
You should see the next Karate Kid with Hillary Swank
This movie always gets me. Great reaction n analysis
I felt sorry what happened to her but boxing is violent and dangerous sport. She could have walked away and found another job.
If you wanna see another movie about a female fighter
Bruised

It’s a beautiful film, but damn is it a tearjerker.
We all say 'luv' in England
The essence of his films are he drawn into the senerio
This movie is painfull like a punch in the liver. Brings all the layers in our soul.
You likely won't see this but.... His 1st directorial was film, "Play Misty For Me." Awesome
Yes with that wraith of a person ….. what hell is her name
I just love watching you this reaction was very touching. This movie makes anyone a cry baby.
Bless your beautiful soul for watching this. Always protect yourself ❤

I've been waiting for her to watch this ever since her Gran Torino review.
thanks for reaction

This movie gets me every time. It needs to be in the Library of Congress.
You need to watch Clint's directorial debut "Outlaw Josie Wales"
Good movie (I've only seen parts of it), but Play Misty for Me is actually his directorial debut.
It’s good to have you back queen! And congrats on your recent convention! 😁
min 35:40 very nice
Great reaction! This movie is so good and such a gem in the midst of so much Hollywood crap. Only Clint Eastwood could make such art.
ok my dear you are definitely ready for dirty harry
Good Movie and Great Reaction !!! Keep it Up
DANGER!!!!
Next up see Girl Fight with Michelle Rodriguez. It came out before Million Dollar Baby.
Love that you dive right in with the reaction and don't spend the first five min talking about likes and subscribe and patreon and blah blah blah. We all know that stuff right? Thank you. 😎👍❤️

Cali love your reactions and artwork...absolutely stunning ❤❤
You've never seen a female protagonist in a fighting role? You should watch "The Next Karate Kid". It stars Hilary Swank. You may have heard of her.
You do realize Maggie was in love with Frankie, right?
I was crying before you even started reacting to this movie, it hits me so hard just thinking about what's to come.
Her best ever role
I know the ref @ 16:55. It’s pretty cool to see him on here.
Cool 😎.
Why would anyone want to watch a chopped up movie ?
loved your reaction

Beautiful movie ! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I want a million dollars
You are so gorgeous and cool.
Awesome reaction, can you please watch a movie called THE FOUNDER.
She forgot tue #1
Saw your drawings you're good. You seem to have a personality unlike most reactors. Shame about the AI art thing, I think they did artists dirty
How old are you?
In the Line of Fire and A Perfect World are good Eastwood movies to check out.
Have you already seen or would you do reactions to Kill Bill Vol 1 & 2 and Kickass?
You are beautiful
I love the way you move an hold your mouth. It’s so unique 😂

As a writer, I can tell you that you have to know how it ends before you can begin.

10 stars from me
❤❤
Such an under rated film. Appreciate the reaction.
Highly depressing film. Hated watching it. There's enough bad stuff in real life we hear about without inflicting more on our escapism too.
escapism is for losers, art is for heroes.
