    Not sure if you purposely dropped that small hint at the beginning of the vid, but it's pretty easy to tell what happened. I've been there man. Best of luck to you moving forward, and keep doing your thing. You'll get through this. Life can be a big fat B sometimes, so there's no need to apologize for not dropping new vids. Take care of you, and all else comes second.

    I've had trouble with the titanium inserts staying bonded to the interior of the shaft when using Easton's two part epoxies and yes I have properly cleaned/ prepped all components before gluing the inserts in . I have since changed glues and have had no issues

    • @michaelsites1498
      @michaelsites1498 Год назад

      What glue do you use?!?! I just ordered these same arrows and 2 dozen titanium inserts but I’m not sure what glues the shop uses for titanium or if they’re thinking about this critical detail

  • @sinepari9160

    I picked up a dozen of these, 300 spine cut to 27.5'', should be 470-ish with a 125/150 BH and 17-19 FOC. The aluminum actually act like a small outsert where the titanium do not.

    Hey Josh, thanks for the great video. Regarding the two arrows that weren’t super straight, is that something we could swap out with another pair to have a full set of straight arrows or are they still within the .001 spec?

  • @5MinuteMaj0r
    @5MinuteMaj0r 2 года назад

    We need a Sasquatch arrow build video. Seems to be challenging to find any of value. 32” Draw length. Getting ahead of the riser with a broad head and decent foc. Tuning something uncut - speed and distance achievable. Draw weight suggested with arrow shaft suggested.

    • @subject0692
      @subject0692 2 года назад +1

      32.5 draw here. I use these exact arrows with the titanium half outs. They give you plenty extra length as needed and you’ll be cutting them because they’re actually too long. Give ‘em a try.

    • @5MinuteMaj0r
      @5MinuteMaj0r 2 года назад

      I was thinking a half out could allow for a small cut on these or the 5mm Axis - Thanks.

    Great info as always. I know you like lighter and faster.
    What are thoughts on standard diameter arrows .245?
    Built a set of Black Eagle Carnivores .001
    Used 42 grain Black Eagle brass inserts with an extra 30 grain weight, 125 grain points, 3 blazers with no wrap on the back. Total weight came out at around 502 grains with 17.1 FOC.

    As an alternative to these (for field archery) what do you think of Easton's new Avance arrows (the .003 ones)!?
    Are they any good for long distance outdoor target (compound)!?

    • @liamboyle9199
      @liamboyle9199 2 года назад

      Any of the 166s make good outdoor arrows mate. Although, I would say the Easton 166s do not command the market at all, thatll fall to your VAPs, Pierces, etc.
      But I also haven't shot the new Easton 166s so idk maybe they are noticeable better (but I doubt it)

    What would you think or how would you respond if someone walked into your shop and requested 12 perfectly straight arrows?

  • @TheDruxlol
    @TheDruxlol 2 года назад

    titanium halfout is very meh, had only ok results. Firm believer that if you're shooting 4mm (which i like) that you need a sleeve, Iron will or ethics system will get it done well. Arrows break without it. (focus system blows)
