Great! Except in the video you don't show the most basic thing: how to get to the 64 pad mode so that one can start assigning fx...
Shift+Knobs (and Knobs+Launch or Knobs+Note or all three for splits). Putting this here a year late for future me's trying to find this answer. Even the manual doesn't speak of it besides the splits. I just figured it out via deduction.

Rewatched this video a ton of times and several others on youtube to try and figure this out, spent an hour just trying everything on the force and holding knobs buttonm to see if there was some weird optoion there that did it. Really glad you asked this question man, hahaha. That button needs some secondary text on it for sure

my pads dont go into any type of padfx mode when i do what it asks. I go to menu, macros, pad grid. i still have whatever launch or note mode my pads were on and i dont know how to make them do the pad grid fx. UPDATE: Shift + Knobs gets you into padfx mode.
Nevermind. I figured out that you have to press shift+knobs to turn the padfx mode on

god damn, id alsolutley love to see more in built synths, or a way to get 3rd party synth extensions. maybe a mini modular setup, or a semi modular synth would be best!!!!! please akai, look at the RE platform, those synths are small. they can be ported to any platform. and the mobile versions would be such a perfect fit for this platform!!!!

What is The workflow to record those PAD FX? Just record intop clips ? Is there a way besides "shift tab R" multiple tracks to arm record ? please

if i buy a used one do i loose (o risk to loose) some right on license or update download or something? Is there any (software) license linked to the machine and to the previous owner ?
Can the performance of the pad fx be recorded to the arranger ? If so this would really be amazing
Whatever you automation you record should follow over to the arranger when you you record your arrangements.

This update seems massive! Can Midi CC value's for midi tracks also be affected in this way assigning multiple parameter effects for external gear?

Can you make little mini automations so the pad fx 'play' (picking up a la legato mode) and stopping or looping like any music clip?

You have to record your clips in the order you like in Arranger

My 'toggle' isn't working. When I select it, it makes no difference I can only toggle by holding down the pad to touching it once and leaving it?
hola..no me queda claro si los efectos afectan a todas las pistas por igual o hay alguna forma de que cada pad con efectos afecte unicamente a un clip (sea drum,synth o audio)..
How did you get the beat repeat effect? I didn’t see an effect for that

Hey Akai! Can you let us make the launch mode pad colors not look like cotton candy? It is really cramping my style, and I'm sure a huge segment of your market don't want to buy it because it looks like the toy section for newborns!
Awesome machine, but visually you guys aren't giving us much room to work with, and there is huge potential to look awesome with all those pads lit up if they weren't so washed out in launch mode and note mode wasn't just white pads with a color based arbitrarily on the scale.
Give us control of the colors, dudes! Make them change colors even when they're triggered! I don't know, something awesome.
