I love it when light or heavy bombers go gun ship mode, bomber players don't realize when they go gunship mode, when theirs a fighter dog fight happening...its scary for the enemy fighters man.

What I love about the Typhoon is the mouth. It is so cool and intimidating, and every time I see it I imagine it smoking a cigar. How British that would be...

Haha! I fly with liquid snake a good bit. Pretty awesome seeing him in a vid and actually causing you a little bit of trouble. He really is a great squadmate to fly with.

It felt like some war movie where a plane not suited for air combat joins in to help the outnumbered protagonist and they make it through somehow. Way cooler to see it in a game than on the big screen
That thing looks martial with those Hispanos, as if it was a giant ubersized fork you simply could stick into that delicious piece of meat on your plate and have a good bite from it, if not the whole steak at once, feeding it easily through that giant mouth-like radiator. It's the british version of a Megalodon, not simply feeding on german machinery by taking off a bite but swallow it whole and remove it from the face of this earth completely.
With you it is definately in the right hands.

Incredible fight with that Typhoon, I find it very hard to use effectively because of the lack of maneuverability. Great vid and great attitude giving praise to that BTD, deserved once he went for the win.

武田信玄 here's a little advice for aiming; if you're gunning at an enemy from a relatively high angle of deflection, just mentally trace an imaginary line in front of his nose and shoot along it. This is made easier if they are firing. Just shoot along their line of fire, because that's where they have their nose pointed ;)
One game i watched a SB2C dogfight 109s all game. He ended up on the deck and still held his own. I do not know how his slow sluggish plane managed it. His last kill I helped him with but he really didnt need it.
He got about 4 kills or so.

It wasn't even that good in this one, but it's accurate speed estimates, knowing your plane and the enemy's, predicting what he will do based off his maneuvers, his energy and the position of his teammates, velocity of shells, etc. Plus patience and practice.

I know I take heavy fighters and agile attackers to have some lols and take on fighters on occasion.
When spading the D4Y2 and 3 I flew them strictly as fighters. Even ran into Loli from BTG. Best game with them was 2 kills and 2 assists in the Y3 against mostly 47Ns and D-30s.
When spading the French Helldiver I had a match where I got 4 kills and 1 assist and another where I turned the tables on a German P-47 by doing a long string of hi to low to hi yoyos. First match flying it I was trolling a C.202EC via the bomber spawn and trying to BnZ it until it dove to the deck and ran away.
A lot of players don't realize that a lot of attackers, even the SB2Cs, are more maneuverable than most fighters that aren't Japanese and so long as they have the energy will win a knife fight so long as they aren't holding their ordinance. The difficult thing is maintaining your energy.
Yeah the biggest reason why attackers aren't as good as fighters is that they have poor Energy Retention and poor acceleration/climb, and that's why they absolutely need the energy advantage to be competitive as you say.
I have to say, this is the most informative tutorial I've seen on RUclips, just checked your other videos- they are all high quality, subscribed, great stuff

I have a question regarding MEC. I usually enable it just to change 2 things Rads and prop pitch. Do I have to worry about other stuff as well like super charger, turbo charger, fuel mix ratio, or are they set to auto until I change something myself? I haven't set a key binding for any of them
Supercharger yes, mixture is needed because you lose a lot of power on P47s if you're below 85%, and at high altitude you should reduce mixture to below 60% on most planes. Only some are auto. Supercharger and mixture can't be automated with MEC for example, while I leave turbo on auto.

Typhoon is my all time favourite. Thousand kills in the thing. I'm always underestimated in it too which helps. They don't expect you to be so fast and turn so well. After playing it a lot you can use the rudder to roll ridiculously quick too. I call it a snap roll, before you use aileron you do full rudder in the direction you want to roll, then use aileron, itll cause you to snap in that direction. Once you get a feel for it you can be very accurate but if you aren't accurate with it itll roll too far

I've played the Typhoon a fair amount, have had quite good success with it. I try to keep my maneuvers in the vertical, though, that way the poor roll rate becomes less of an issue.

I really love this plane, way better than the spitfire FMkIX IHMO.
His climb rate is till good, and it’s funny to get attacked by 109s, bring them to low altitude, and then reverse them in the vertical thanks to the excellent Energy retention of this plane both in a straight line and in the vertical. Lots of 109s try to outstall me thinking I cannot keep up with them... lol

Seriously, the manouevring energy retention is godlike. It's also fun seeing 109s who think they can turn with you.
if i wanted to grind the brits tree which plane should i take on the Tier 2?
i already got the hurricane which was very awesome with the stealth belt but im torn between grinding for the bombers or the spitfires or the next hurricanes to reach typhoon..
Never bombers! I'd say grind both Spitfire line and Hurricane line because you need 6 unlocked planes to get to tier 3, so best of both worlds.

I rush with it since you won't outclimb most enemies. I bait some down to low altitude for my teammates, making it easier for the usually slow climbing Allied planes to fight the Axis. Tempest is very good at low altitude, so might as well make use of that. Make sure you can escape if more than 1 enemy dives on you.

Weird, why the germans didn't had you there with baiting... 5:30, that prophang wasn't a good idea, but as you pointed out snake wasn't around to take the bait. Usually a spiral climb trap could do against a typhoon since you've excellently demonstrated the turn and burn capabilities yet the typhoon doesn't seem to bleed any speed in any manner while doing so. It does however when going vertical. BTD long range snipe lmao... I'm sure adam was being greedy for the kill when remark at 16:19 ;)
I did it because I knew the Fw190 wouldn't be able to turn around in time to get me.
I think the Typhoon bleeds quite a bid of speed while turning, it's a sacrifice to turn faster.
More like I was expecting it to be my kill because I'm the last fighter!
You're awesome anyways :) And I come to understand that the lower altitude performance for brits has some strong correlation with the speed retention at sea level, something that 109s particularly lacks but am honestly not sure if this is modelled correctly with realistic performance.
To be honest it's pretty difficult to judge without testing. And depends on the Bf109, K4 has pretty good retention at SL.

What do you mean with performance gap?
The gap in speed is higher in the Typhoon's favour at low altitude, while the climb rate gap is lower in the Bf109's favour at low alt. So Typhoon has the better relative performance at low alt rather than at high alt against Bf109s.

If I'm not mistaken the Typhoon is one of the few aircraft in War Thunder that have a maximum dive speed lower than their structural limit (due to the thick wings producing tons of drag). Can you confirm this?
No way, in this video I redlined in a 25° dive, at 35°+ I'm sure it would rip.
IRL this happened to the Wildcat, too draggy for dangerous dive speed.

how the fuq d'u outmanoeuvre a 109. i normally get ganged up on, tailed nd shot because the 109s are always faster and more manoeuvrable. I really dont understand how only you manage to do exactly the opposite
Typhoon turns really well while Bf109s are average at turning, you should win against Bf109s in maneuvering fights. Typhoon turns about as well as a same BR Spitfire.

I don't understand why the radio man says, "attacking!" I mean, can he see what you are doing? Sometimes the random unhistorical female WWII pilot chimes in too, as well as Samuel L. Jackson, "The victory will be ours!" Seems out of place.
