But when she got back on stage to sing this song she was still barefoot. This is why she bonded with Misa- now both without shoes. There are many unique aspects to Real Existence that sets it apart from many rock songs: the starts and stops, Miku's little breakout vocal line, Akane's double tempo gallop, and Kamani's solo. I mean, who would ever put that kind of solo in a rock song? But it works... just like all of the plot-twists, complex density, and genre-merging they employ on most of their material. Every section offers something different than the previous one. That's one reason many people -- unless you're a musician - may find it difficult to get into their music at first listen. As tightly integrated as it is, there's so much going on. And then you add the Japanese language and maid outfits... But for people who like and appreciate their writing, musicianship, performance and personalities, Band-Maid's beautiful cacophony of excellence offers unlimited rewards for repeat listening... and mega stardom for the Maids, imxo. Oh yeah... and BRAVO Band-Maid 2022 & 2023 USA TOURS ending at the 16,000 seat Yokohama Stadium in Nov! Thx, Jeremy and Braden!
Kanami (lead guitar) is also a fine pianist..She starts her compositions on piano...There is a short video of her playing piano "YOLO" on YT ruclips.net/video/L_WJbKdtONE/видео.html ..And also she plays the opening few notes of the song "Start Over" on piano in the MV..Though I suspect it's not your cup of tea as it is more on the pop side for the ladies..(except Saiki's last words..hehe) And Saiki recently (Yokohama Arena) played a solo piano version of "Choose Me"...which was AWESOME!!..I was there!.

I hope ya'll get to their song "Manners", it's quite a change up. They do have an official live video for it that also has 'Black Hole' directly afterwards. Two completely different sounding tracks back to back.
Ironically, if you had done the Music Video version, you would have been able to see both Miku (and Saiki too actually) with no shoes, but not MISA. Miku was, in fact, the very first Band-Maid member that I did see like this, in the MV. @@suprabaz1 Been lucky enough to of visited that temple.....And yes...while there I played the MV on my phone and stood infront of where the ladies played..so had a kind of private performance...hehe!..........I also said a prayer at the temple..even though I am not religious...giving the respectful money offering...I visited on my very first day in Japan..and my last...On BOTH the trips I made to Japan...I hope to make it the norm if I'm ever able to make more trips to Japan..Oh!..This is my No.2 MAID's song.

The thing about Band-Maid and others is that a happy sounding tune may well have not so happy lyrics. Miku is a poet and tremendous lyricist. And the song writing team of Kobato-Tono is destined to become one of the greatest songwriting teams of this century. Much like Jagger-Richards or even Lennon-MacCartney. Some reviewers discount the lyrics as unnecessary to know. IMO that is totally bullshit and amounts to a slap in the face to one half of this amazing songwriting team. FYI Corrallium and Hibana were written by Atsumi-Tono. Saiki has coauthored those two songs.
One of the early songs not written by Band-Maid but the ladies chose well in accepting to record this, and many other offerings. It was the last studio track 'Alone' of the 3rd album where the Maids took over the songwriting...and IMHO brilliant that the record company set the quality bar high for acceptance of the artist's own work. And boy how they've grown since 👌💪🤘🤘🤘

If you study the music video you will see non of the girls are wearing shoes in the interior shots of the temple it's a respect thing.
