Man, do I miss Caleb’s voice. Obviously TJ has a spectacular voice, but Caleb has that quality that you can’t define but you know it when you hear it. Sooooo good.
Caleb's voice has somewhat of a grungy feel to it. While TJ has a southern-soul type of voice. I like both versions and both singers. They both are very talented. I hope Caleb has found what he was looking for when left the band. Plus, I also hope Decyfer Down continues to rock in the near future. I like this band.
I believe his brother ( the drummer) told me when he left the band, it was because he was running into a lot of personal issues/family issues that had to take up the majority of his time which resulted in him having to part ways. I miss the guy!
@@NHL11Rocks I agree that Caleb’s voice fits DD music SO much better. TJ’s voice is twangy. Doesn’t fit hard rock very well. I think they found a good groove with The Other Side Of Darkness, but TJ singing Calebs songs on Crash, and Scarecrow were both disasters.
Saying TJ ruined the band is outright absurd. Both of their voices are fantastic and TJ stepped in because Caleb stepped down. No need to tear down either.

Caleb's version is still incredible over a decade later. Man, what a powerful song
So is TJ’s….both are fantastic and let’s not forget there’s an entire band that made this happen
I’ve never heard this version that Caleb ex decyfer down sing this before he became a preacher and TJ sung it beautiful I love both versions.

Disagree Caleb Oliver was a way better singer. I think tj Harris destroyed this band his voice sucks.
