For a bit of context: The Gravity contains a lot of letmotivs from Asuka's Overture theme, "The Man", but this part is the most noticeable because is basically identical. Also, i know i still have to do a second part of the Overture video, please give me time XD
This song is phenomenal because “that part” could be referring to so many points. Besides the main guitar solo, I can also think of the pre-chorus (“find it find it something unseen”), the chorus (“does existence have a meaning”), the post chorus (“beyond it all do you recognise me”), the bass solo and the other guitar solo that plays after the vocals finish
That's the magic. Is like saying "that part" of Drift. My brother in Christ, Drift has a "that part" every 3 seconds Edit: Every 1, because i might forget if it last more than 2 (that's 'bout it)
AS THE... U-NIVERSE TUUUURNED BLACK, DID THE SUN EVER DE-FY FAAAAATE? BEYOND ALL DO YOU RE-COG-NIZE MEEEEEEEEEEEE? GRAVITY HOLDS ALL THE ANSWEEEEEEEEERS
I honestly have a hard time hearing it, would you consider doing a video or something where they are compared side by side? I totally believe that it's there, I just don't quite have the ear to pick it up.
Is not "hearing it" in a very literal way. The songs just look very alike, but they are not identical. Basically the begining of The Man sounds really similar to the part of The Gravity arround 3:53 to 4:10
I haven’t heard the original version that part is from, but hearing in this when I heard it for the first time was like being hit by a bullet train. It is such an insanely good guitar riff, it almost has this sound of finality and momentum. Like everything has lead to this moment. It’s genuinely an emotionally moving sound that I absolutely love.
I like how a lot of Overture's songs have this "vortex" where the melody seems to be leaning to at the beggining and then referencing at the end. The composing in that game is trully sublime
Guilty Gear honestly showcased just how good Daisuke is when it comes to writing music. Go ahead, pick any vocal track, and you'd find that it's absolutely fantastic for the most part, even the song is that of a genre that isn't favorable to you. There are many songs that make for examples of his creativity and genius. Of course, the greatness of the lyrics of a song, no matter how immaculate they may be, is rendered null and void if the singer is worthless, and Naoki is the complete, polar opposite of that. His vocal range is honestly quite incredible. For examples, he's capable of giving the song a feeling of pure hype like in RIDE THE FIRE or Find your One Way, sadness like in Freesia or The Circle, comfort like in Birthday Train or Out of the Box, et cetera. Being the lead vocalist of the band Outrage, he has plenty of experience both in the studio and in live plays. This mix of glorious writing and outstanding singing culminates in a crescendo, a series of songs that peaked in all areas possible. Many have their own lists of this duo's performance ranked, but to me, the pinnacle of their work is showcased in 3 songs for Guilty Gear Xrd, and 3 in Guilty Gear Strive. Blank, Divide my Heart, and Six Black Heavens Guns for Xrd, and Drift, Gravity, and What do you Fight For? for Strive. Yes, my list unfortunately isn't concrete, as the songs these two have made are so great, that my personal list of the top 3 songs in each game changes whenever you ask me. Sometimes Armor-Clad Faith and Break a Spell take a spot, sometimes Birthday Train and Alone Infection do that. Freesia and The Circle? Always hovering close, but to me, there are 2 songs that just never change in placement: Six Black Heavens Guns, and Gravity. Fitting that those two songs just-so happen to be the songs of That Man, and the Devil: Asuka R. Kreutz, and The Original, commonly known as Happy Chaos. If this was a lot, and you simply looked at it and your mind immediately thought: "Too Long; Don't Read", then here is my... TL;DR: The Gravity is peak GG.
Nah, I always take my time to read comments, and I appreciate the time you used just to type it, because is something we all can agree about. Honestly, I thing songs like Birthday Train are peak amongst these series; you have hard rock themes about destroying your enemies and how badass you are, but then you have a happy little song about how a guy that spends a whole week struggling to confess to the girl he likes just to decide to better do it in her birthday. The fact that we have so varied songs, both in style and topics, shows that Daisuke 1- Just loves making music 2- He's very good at it. Personally, I think Mirror of the World is the best song in all the series (a pretty heavy statement, I know, and completely subjective too) not only because is almost 7 minutes of absolute perfection and flawless storytelling (Storyteller is easily top 3 btw), but because trying to tell someone what kind of genre it is makes you sound completely insane. "Yes, I like this progressive Buddhist metal with some acoustic parts in the form of samisen and traditional Japanese drums" literally unhinged stuff

Cuanto tiempo quieras Raki
Big time. The second the organs kicked in and i remembered that theme, it went from a really good song to one of my absolute favorites.
they said the title was The Gravity but they didn't have to make this heavy

"That part" for me was the intro I was hoping for more choiry stuff but that's the only time it is

All Asuka's videos are sponsored by the Shadow Government. And now you mention it, i should put it in the description, thanks XD

@@Sassaparilla Yes. They run the world from the shadows so...
It's a crime that the song wasnt titled "that gravity"
_That Song_
the only time Daisuke fumbled a slam dunk.
For me it was that part around 1:45 when the organ kicks in for the first time. That chorus hits hard every time I listen to it.
Fr, that's a good one too
Can we also appreciate that the song loops perfectly?
They hadd that in mind because Asuka mirrors last like 7 minutes
@@Ratanuki lmao too real
I always liked the way the song ramps up from like 2:50 onwards when they Bassline picks up
I thought it was gonna be everything after the "all things as they are" at the end
Maybe next time

It's 100% same notes/chord progression. Daisuke's done this w/ every song for a new character - having some callback to their old song.

Listens to dream theater once:
WHAT. FUCK. SHOULD. WEEEEEEEE. ACCEPT!
For me it's gotta be that buildup to "DOES EX-IS-TENCE HAVE A MEANING?"
Like the organ just SHOW UP and decides that we are making history now
this is the best guilty gear song, hands down
I GOT IT! I never heard The Man OST, but when I started to relisten it a lot(it is VERY GOD OST imo), I finally got it!
