First wave Dawn, Angie, Gloria, and Dale. Second wave had Longlocks, Jessica, Gary,Ron and Van as well as Head to Toe Dawn, Longlocks and Angie, the whole lot of them in a Dancing Version [different body]. Made from 1970 to 1973. Topper made lots of other items.

I have about 75 Dawn dolls.They were my favorite doll ever and I can remember my Mama taking me to Gaylords in 1971 and bought me the Dawn with the wigs.I love them so much.

I think you’ve done a decent review. I am a long time collector. I own about 1,000 of these wonderful dolls. I still am in need of pieces I don’t have. They are small and a very good substitute for regular dollhouse dolls. They are beautiful dolls that have character! I’m 55 years old and had them as a child.

I was born in 1959 and I remember loving my Dawn dolls. We were on a limited income so she was quite affordable or I would not have had her. In 1971 we moved back to Canada from California and all of my dolls were given away? I only got a few dolls after that as at 13 my parents thought I should be outgrowing dolls. I would love to have a few of these lovely dolls back in my collection. ❤️

Many people don't even remember Dawn dolls. I had a bunch. I was born in 1966 and preferred them to Barbie but it seems Barbie too over and that's that. Had to use the Dawn dolls as babies lil sister. Dawn dolls rock!

The first cool (Dawn)...that is definitely the original outfit....I did not have any of these dolls but the girl across the street did and I totally remember that dress on Dawn.

Every place I find them they are expensive, 25.00 and up, one doll and even when they looked chewed up. Flea market 25.00 each. I’d love to have the male dolls and the Jessica. I’ve bought some dolls, but they were all Dawn in different outfits. You have a very nice collection.

They had 4 original Dawn dolls! Dawn the blonde, Glory the redhead, Angie, the dark brown hair, and Dale the African-American with the afro!! Jessica the stewardess with the short hair and Longlocks had long brown hair down to her butt!! I had all these dolls when I was a kid and I hated giving them up! My older sister and I used to fight over them all the time!

These are adorable. Thanks for sharing. I hadn't seen them before. They're going on my watch list. I love mini dolls like these. I played with Dazzle dolls when I was a kid in the '80's. I've since repurchased quite a few of them on Ebay for not much money. I'm going to be watching these. The only ones on Ebay in my budget right now all look like they've been crying with running eye make up. More like they belong in a creepy stop motion after school special.

When I was a little girl, I got a Dawn doll for a Christmas gift. My doll had blond hair. I love the mod dolls. I was able to find one reproduction Dawn in the drug store in the early 2000’s. But, was unable to find her friends. Poor Dawn looks like she fell on her knees. The green looked like bruising.

They are so glam and we'll detailed for the size. We had Pippa in the UK, but they did not have real lashes, and the knees were screw jointed. Overall the clothing was more casual, especially in the early days, but some Dawn fashions ended up in the Pippa line. The Dawn's with updos often get green at the hairline, due to the hair being too fully rooted. As if green knees are not enough to contend with.

I'm selling my Pippa dolls on Ebay. Pippa, Britt, Emma and Marie.
I've had them forever since the 70's and it's time to let them go. They are wonderful dolls and so pretty. But I can't keep them forever. I'm happy for them to go to a collector out there who can put them on display. Better than being in a box like I had them.

@Luna Messer Their bodies are different, they have bendable limbs instead of knees that click like Dawn. They were made by Mattel.
