    Are you kidding me?! I want to be your neighbor AND your friend AND maybe have you adopt me too. Why this video has only 80 "thumbs up" is beyond me. This is so over the top that it isn't even funny. Well done!

    I love this, do you sell or offer to teach a class on projection mapping? I would be interested - I want to add this to our haunt next year.

    • @MakeEpicThings
      @MakeEpicThings  2 года назад

      Becca. Thanks for the kind words. I wont be making a class on this. The setup of the hardware and initial mapping (drawing / tracing) of your house or surface is REALLY easy. The hard part is the video editing, 3d animation. Those elements arent really projection mapping specific. It's its own skill set (computer animation, graphic design). So that would be a whole can of worms to try and "teach". There is a lady on YT that has a good overview however: ruclips.net/channel/UCyP40zKjYCECMkd3IKpyUSw

    May i please ask how you get the lights to sync with the show? Do you use light O rama? does light o rama also control the fog machines? I know you can control lights with light o rama but was not sure if it would control dmx fog machines as well? Thank you for your time.

    • @MakeEpicThings
      @MakeEpicThings  Год назад

      Yes, I use a LOR (light-o-rama) to sync all the lights. The LOR also triggers the fog machines, and the projectors video box (a media wiz sprite player). Both the fog machines and the projector video player have a momentary input (like a button press trigger). So what we do is use AC relay boxes attached to the LOR just like a light. So when that AC channel gets power, the relay engages acting just like a switch. Voila, LOR controlling a "button press"... effectively two wires out of the relay box that you connect to the fog machine button input, or the input on the video player

    What type of projectors do you use ? Do you use more than 1 for entire width of house ?

    • @MakeEpicThings
      @MakeEpicThings  Год назад

      I have 2 Christie units, 1 is 12,000 lumen, the other is 7000. However I only use one for the main projection on the house, the 12,000 lumen one.

    Great show, we are wanting to do some thi g similar. We are new to mapping, any recommendations on projectors?

    • @MakeEpicThings
      @MakeEpicThings  2 года назад

      Hi Joey. Its a bit of a loaded question. How big is your house (and how wide). We use Christie Projectors primarily, I have a 6000 lumen and 12000 lumen version. Purchased new they run $7000 to $12,000 respectively. I do actually have one of our previous projectors for sale as well as an outdoor enclosure for it to keep it dry, its 4000 lumen Optoma EH500. If you are interested I have it at $900 USD + Shipping. The shipping of the enclosure is the issue, its big and bulky and will likely add another $200 to ship it.
