It's funny how people without tattoos Judge people with tattoos, and people with tattoos don't care wether you have em or not.
+Alex Ramos Very true and interesting perspective
+49jubilee Except all professional tattoo artists will refuse tattooing folk if the are under the influence and a lot of shops will refuse an idea if it is dumb.
+James MacLeod More than that, it is illegal to tattoo a person who is clearly under the influence... in many places.
idontwant2bpoor I know it is in the UK but I didn't know about anywhere else so I just left that out in case I was wrong.
+Alex Ramos typically people with body art are so into self-expression that they accept lots of styles, they're just into individuality.
As a tattooed person - I can definitely find someone less attractive for a tattoo, but that’s not cos of the ink itself, just if I think they have a stupid tattoo
@I’m sorry if I offended anybody dépend i hate big tattoo but my only tattoo is a fox head and is not really big
That's a very subjective statement because maybe you're the only one who thinks the tattoo in question is "stupid". On the other hand, I've always held the belief that tattoos show lower intelligence, regardless of someone being physically "attractive". I just simply think it's degrading and dumb.
@@ShadovvV so cause someone have a draw on him he’s stupid ? Cause at this point people who make piercing are stupid too
@@djfox3cove589 - Either way. I also think piercings are utterly ridiculous.
@Alex - Nah. I've been told by many women that I'm an above average looking guy, but not like GQ magazine or anything. I've had relationships with some damn hot women. Thing is though, no matter what you look like, I've found that what most people lack is loyalty. It doesn't really matter what you put on your body, who you are or how your face looks, it matters how loyal your friends are, women or otherwise.
The only reason to judge someone by their tattoos is if they have something like a giant swastika on their forehead
+Pokeygumbo OvO i have a tattoo of a giant forehead on my swastika

Sooo.... I guess half of the cast of inglorious bastards didn't found a job after the war

my parents are married, if thats whats relevant for you… and look, something important about getting a tattoo IS that its forever. That can be a good or a bad thing, it depends on if the individual thought wisely about the motive.
This video should be called, "Triggering people with tattoos"
I honestly haven't read one Triggered comment but I guess they may be further down the page.

average I don't think this is triggering because it's just showing reality which is already known to tattoed people.
Mrs Unknown not really. Tattoo perceptions have changed drastically. I see people with tats in formal jobs allllll the time
I dont know where this idea that tattood individuals drink heavy or dont have jobs comes from....just think about it, how expensive is it to get a tattoo? most require several sessions at high cost. an unemployed drunk couldnt afford to be covered in tattoos. The people i know with multiple tattoos and/or body modifications, have good careers, familys, know what they want in life and achieve it. yet people will take one look and say "there goes another unproductive drain on society"
Well said
Tommie Reid Yes homeless people could have body art aswell, I have known some street people to have tattoos, but generally when one is homeless they spend what little they have on food, shelter, basic needs, (or addiction) depending on who they are, and what circumstances have brought them to the streets. Generally when a homeless person has tattoos, or body modifications, it is something they aquired long before becoming transient.

"don't get a tattoo where a judge can see it." that's what my artist told me when I got my first tattoo. I think that's sounds advice
Nothing screams "defendant" as loudly as a neck tat.
Squish Mitten gold comment
Favilla Morty who says they're the defendant? maybe they're the lawyer?
Archer Moody so, my question is this. If you bother to get a tattoo. Pick the design, pay the money, etc., why bother getting it if you cover it up? NO one will see it and you won't either until you disrobe. If you're saying it makes you FEEL different knowing it's there, can't you imagine yourself as the illustrated man under your clothes? A lot less expensive.
Archer Moody why would you even get a tattoo?
My philosophy: If you can't see it when I'm wearing a suit then it's all good.
exactly. When i'm wearing a suit you'd never tell but once the shirt goes off holy fucking shit.

I'm 24 and I have 3 tattoos, got my first one when I was 17, my last one was done two weeks ago and I'm going to get another one next week. I have also worked as a Financial Adviser at one of the biggest banks in the Philippines and I now currently work for a financial brokerage firm in Australia as a Superannuation and Insurance specialist . Would you put a bumper sticker on a Ferrari ?
That's what I say when somebody asks me if I would ever get a tattoo.
You can't use that analogy. Bumper stickers aren't permanent.
Azian2DaMax If you won't put a temporary one we can assume you won't put a permanent one.
John Doe What about different paint jobs?
John Doe There are tons of people who get temporary tattoos because they don't want the commitment of a permanent one.
i don't think that'a a good analogy, a ferrari is something you own and love, not really yourself. that's like you don't want to change the design of your dolce & gabanna dress or not allowing your kid having a tattoo. it's different than giving something to yourself. maybe if you are a farrari you would actually consider having a bumper stick. just saying.

Message to all people who get tattoos: Please don't get tribal tattoos, birds, over-used quotes, dandelions, last names on backs, dream catchers, chinese symbols, quotes in languages that have absolutely no affiliation to you, and single words such as "faith" or "love"
Sorry if I offended anyone. I probably forgot a few, but those are the main ones. If you're trying to communicate your individuality, don't get what everyone else has!

I have several tattoos and want many more. I see people with tattoos as more adventurous or daring than those without. Also more attractive, as long as they're tasteful.

@@_Tris_ You are wrong.
As the older generation gets replaced by the next then the attitude against tattoos will go the way of the dinosaurs. I have one tattoo and want more.
No because the baby boomers did lots of drugs yet drugs are still illegal
kushdaddy144 have you noticed the popularity of legalizing weed? gotta start somewhere right?
No, because once the newer generations see enough old people with tattoos, it's going to take on a completely different connotation.
I've seriously had people questioning if I'm really an engineer because I have a half sleeve...

I have a tattoo. I know lots of people with tattoos. None of them are bad people. As for girls with tattoos, I think they're more honest, which is a turn on. I'd also have to disagree on the intelligence factor. Tattoos have nothing to do with intelligence. They're are a ton of doctors, lawyers, teachers (I've had three with tattoos), and other professions who have tattoos. I'm a soldier myself. There's no reason to judge on appearance.
I completely agree with you. One of my mum's closest friends has around 6 tattoos, and she's the best teacher my brother ever had. She went to Cambridge University and was at the top of her class - just wish people would stop judging on petty things like this, rather than looking at the person.
You're basically saying "I have a tattoo, so im going to deny the truth and studies."
Unfortunately this video is Not about good people or bad people, its about how studies show that society and business still think people with tattoos appear dirty and low class. Dont be mad at me for saying that, because im just repeating what the statistics prove.
venomchris True, but it doesn't take away from the fact that there are people who aren't as low and dirty as people perceive. People are too affected by what society tells them over their own perception in my personal opinion. Not denying what you are saying, just stating that not everyone is like what they see and people need to start realizing that.

You can get a tattoo if you want, and there are societal tradeoffs. Unfortunately, the bulk of society sees tattoos in a negative light, which applies mostly to wealthy employers. A tattoo does not indicate who you are as a person, but it does affect how society perceives you.

I've seen people who need surgery turn it down because the surgeon has tattoos. It's mind blowing to me.
Alexandria Skyler Wow that is crazy!
Emily Brooke No that’s reality.
Wtf?! Wow
I would too and you can always find another surgeon.
People who actually believe those stereotypes are ignorant. Yes, there are people that have tattoos that are stupid, drug addicts, drunks, unhygienic, unmotivated and just trying to rebel; however, there are people that don't have tattoos that are stupid, drug addicts, drunks, unhygienic, unmotivated, and rebellious. There are people that have tattoos that are intelligent, well rounded, and successful. There are also people that don't have tattoos that are intelligent, well rounded, and successful. So these stereotypes are inaccurate and ridiculous for trying to judge all tattooed individuals.
SunnyPhoenix Stereotypes always, always can be traced back to factual observation. For example, the one black kid at my high school COULD jump higher than all of us white kids, and he did LOVE fried chicken. Similarly, if we were the only white people he ever saw, he would think all white people were farmers and like country music. Limited exposure to anything will breed specific observations. Of course, this leads to nonfactual bias over time. To say that people are ignorant is true, as ignorance is just a lack of knowledge. I think this will begin to change now that the world is more connected.
However, you live in a world that likely developed many of its stereotypes and association biases long before you existed. People had very brief and limited interaction with people different from themselves, so they (often subconsciously) assumed that all people like that must be the same. The only way to ever change them is to forever be an example of the antithesis. But even then, you will likely be seen as the exception to the long standing (however erroneous) rule. The burden of disproof will always fall on you.
I'm fucking scared of the dentist now

The intelligence factor really offended me. I have 4 tattoos going 5 soon and they are all fairly large pieces. They have had no effect on my intelligence. I'm in school and am maintaining a 3.75 gpa, about to live on my own, and have a decent job for a 19 year old dude. Tattooing is a personal choice and had no effect what so ever on a persons mentality. So fuck people who say otherwise, they just don't have the balls to wear a beautiful piece of art on their bodies.
Tattoos are a way of expressing yourself ands its art ,often people with tattoos are the nicest people iv met and been frineds with
You are not "expressing yourself" with a tattoo. What you're doing is you're paying an artist to EXPRESS HIMSELF on your body. You just literally sit there while they draw stuff on your skin. That's not "expressing yourself".
pavel brodskiy well if its your design or idea its self expression , or if you did the tattoo yourself again self expression. Anyway that logic is flawed , if you buy and wear certain clothing is that self expression or getting a certain hairstyle or is that the designers /barbers self expression ?
James Daniels+ You make a valid point regarding dress and hairstyle; clearly not "self-expression." Tattoos are not in the same category. They are defacement of one's hide...little else.
JRenegade it’s expensive??? It’s mindless vain consumerism. ....and it’s already as passé as bellbotoms, hair metal, fat pants and whatever other vapid pop culture fad . Tattoos are like man buns you can’t cut off!

I'm 18, the legal age to get tattoos in Texas, and I have received four tattoos already. They are covered and no one knows I have them unless I want them to. Tattoo artist have to keep all the equipment clean and disinfected constantly. People with tattoos love those who have them. Those who don't seem to not like them. It is just which side of the grass you stand on that determines your views in my opinion.
My wife and I both have tattoos and I know a lot of people who have them. I think the only distasteful tattoos are neck and face tattoos.
As far as prejudice towards tattoos (especially when reflective of intelligence or personality) depends more strongly on what the tattoo is of. If it's something crude or stupid in and of itself, then yea fine. But if it isn't I see no reason why it should reflect negatively on someone. My tattoos have a lot of meaning to me, I only get a tattoo if it has significant personal meaning. And when choosing a design I make sure that it is something I wouldn't be embarrassed to show my grandmother or future children or anyone else for that matter.
Anyone with a tat has issues - the more tats, the bigger their issues.
I have three tattoos, and I am proud to have them. I personally think it's ignorant for some to just assume someone is "bad" or "dirty" for having tattoos. Having tattoos show that you have a sense of style, a sense of art and creativity.

Degrees doesn't demonstrate that one is intelligent. An intelligent person is just one that is able to resolve problems.
Last August I got a tattoo on my inner right forearm of a hummingbird with my beautiful departed wife's name on top. Below the hummingbird wings it says "Eternally In My Heart"

i used to think it was bad like you were in a gang, but now that ive stop listening to my conservative parents. cough. i just see it as a form of self expression, creativity and art. fuck, i want a tattoo. they look sexy

Mukunda ieg lonewolf Even if he is a sushi, let him dream..! Go and get your tattoo, little sushi - you can do it!
WhatPixelYouOn thank you. i shall be the first sushi to get a tattoo!

AmericanConcrete well, firstly parents arent always right. secondly... oh god.
everyone goes to the dentist, only some get tattoos
Yeah that's mixing apples and oranges.
I have 2 sleeves, been on the same job (payroll admin. for a large Electrical contractor), I don't drink, smoke and have never done drugs. We own our own house, have 2 wonderful, well behaved sons that go to a Christian school. My husband has a tattoo and is a CPA, CGMA and is the CFO and Partner in the Electrical Contracting Co. that I work for. He Graduated from UVA in 1994. He has held this same job for 12 years. We are never sick, we are well spoken and polite and go out of our way to help others. So, if you think bad of us because we have tattoos, well, that's YOUR problem. At my age, 46, I really don't care what people think of me any more!! I know I'm a good person and my friends and family know I'm a good person and that's all that matters.
Marley Angell good for you 👍
Marley Angell - Apparently you need to read your Bible more
" Leviticus 19:28 " or are your sons the only TRUE Christians in your home?
You're a "good person?" That's funny, Jesus said you weren't: Romans 3:10.
Most people I know with tattoos tell themselves a variety of reasons as to why they got them, but usually it's due to feeling uncomfortable in their own skin and/or trying to make themselves more interesting to other people. There's nothing horribly wrong with that, we're all a little insecure in some ways, but when they say that people should judge them for their personality and what's on the inside instead of their permanently marked skin, I can't help but think that perhaps if they were more comfortable with what's underneath then they wouldn't need tattoos to feel individual or to have a strong identity. You can use the same logic back at them and ask "if what's on the inside is the most important thing to you then why have you covered your body in permanent markings?". A person who is secure in themselves needn't worry about proving anything to other people in life, only to themselves. Unless you look in the mirror all day, you rarely see your tattoos anyway. Or maybe people get tattoos just for themselves to notice? Then why do people always get tattoos that face outwards or read the right way around to others as opposed to getting tattoos that read correctly to the person who has them when they look down. If you look down at script on your body you can't even read it unless it's upside down. One thing I would understand completely though is if somebody got a tattoo to permanently remind themselves of a loved one who has passed or something similar (although for me you cannot wear pain like that, it'll always be inside you), as opposed to some impressionable 18 year old girl getting a heart or a star on her ankle/wrist/bikini line to make herself feel super individual for a few weeks.
the truth is that and defining difference in people with tattoos to those who do not have any are that the people with tattoos don't give a shit if you have tattoos or not. period.
breezebro false, tattooed people are not emotionless robots who don't give a fuck about fellow man.
breezebro You are incredibly ignorant.
breezebro You need to meet more people.
breezebro I would beg to differ, while I do believe you have every right to your opinion I think you will find there are quite lot of people who are able to be intellectual and also have a tattoo.
For instance some people get tattoos for medical reasons, to show that certain substances are lethal to them, this would be considered a rather smart idea.
I will agree that in the past the majority of people who had tattoos where criminals in one form or another but even that does not mean that those people are not intelligent, after all it takes a lot of intellect to pull off a bank heist for example.
Not to mention you may very well have met an intellectual person who has a tattoo that you just don't see in your normal day to day contact with them. Unless your trying to say that you have seen every person you deem to be intelligent completely naked from all possible angles.
After all with your views on tattoos a person you know or have met might not tell you that they have one for fear that you will judge them.
Not only that but for most people telling a person that you have a tattoo is not something that automatically comes into conversation on first meeting. Generally it is not mentioned unless the conversation is moved into that direction, or the person has just completed the work on their tattoo.
The point is the majority of people these days have a tattoo of some sort, it is rather unreasonable for you to say that all those people are unable to be intellectual in anyway.
I wonder where you are meeting all these unintellectual people, I would hazard to guess that it is the places that you are going rather then the tattoos themselves.
breezebro you realise that you just contradicted yourself in your own comment.
First of all you say not all blacks are good at basketball but you assume all people with tattoos are inherently stupid, criminals and drug users then go on to generalize a majority of the population as such.
Not to mention considering you haven't met every tattooed person it is an incredibly biased and some would even say bigoted stance to take.
Like I said before you have a right to your opinion and I have a right to completely disagree.
As a previous comment would suggest you need to meet more people, and as I said I would hazard to guess it is the places that you are meeting these people not the fact that they have tattoos.
hell even my mum has a few tattoos and she is a christian, property investor and head of the local council.
My fiancé has a few tattoos and he runs his own company.
As does my best friend
Not only that but I'm the head of a corporate board, and also manage investment properties for myself as well as others and I have a few tattoos.
I must say I take offence to being called a stupid, criminal, drug user for no other reason than expressing myself simply because you don't approve of the method in which I do so.
It would also seem that you don't really know why some people get tattoos, again like I said before some people get them for medical reasons others for self expression, I know of a man that got the outline of pictures done on his arms so his kids would have something to colour in when other methods were unavailable.
Yet you would consider all these people as stupid druggy criminals because they have medical needs or they want to be kind to their kids.
Again as I said before there are a lot of criminals that are incredibly smart people, bank heists, hackers, embezzler, even serial killers are all required to have a significant intellect to be able to pull off their crimes in the first place. Most police hackers
start out as criminals as a matter of fact.
The point is you don't have to get a tattoo if you don't want one but generalizing all people with tattoos as being lesser forms of filth for no other reason then self expression is just cruel and actually says more about you than them.
True. First impression is LOW CLASS.
I met some nice people with a bunch of tattoos. But they all had one thing in common. They couldn't stop talking about their tats. I swear, most people that decide to get ink are attention whores that want that "edgy" look. I don't have tattoos because I don't need a conversation starter.
***** lol
+SuperVince93 I have 11 tattoos and I don't really talk to people about them and I'm reluctant to even show them to people that are curious. Mostly because they're things that interest me, and I don't really see most people as being interested in Satanic themes. There's people out there that want everyone to know they have tattoos, there's also people like myself that have them for personal reasons that don't go around showing them off.
+88SLLS Fair enough. At least you're laid back about it.
I don't go around showing them off. They're mostly covered by my sleeves. If someone asks about one I'll tell them what it means, but the ones that are more personal are covered up by my sleeve. If someone asks about it I just say that it's personal.
The only time I really ever talk about mine are if someone ask about it.
Tattoos are hideous on the outside and says you are typically mentally unstable on the inside.
Interesting, I have it almost completely opposite. I don't really think much about tattooed people's internal characteristics, I just don't find it physically attractive...
Tattoos scream out "Hey, look at me! I love getting poked!!"
My problem with tattoos nowadays is that most of them are meaningless garbage. Not in all cases though, but for many it's just following the partying culture, and thus I think that's where the health part of the tattoo comes in. However if a tattoo is meaningful, well done, not unnecessarily large, out of plain sight, and in good taste more power to ya.
Honestly dude what does it matter what it means or if you can see it or not its not your body and not your place to judge. I do agree with the well done aspect of it just because i'm a fan of really well done tattoos so when i see a crappy tat I do realize that dose make the rest of the tattoo community look bad
Anthony Culm Well I'm just hoping for the best for them, something fucking stupid and in plain sight won't help them with a lot of things like getting a job and such.
Robert Dimaggio Well I like to see functional members of society.
.
***** I don't think any less of a person if they have something outside my wants; and what I mean by that is that I MIGHT get a tattoo but I dunno yet. But either way I don't think less of a person because of their tattoos.
My family has a tattoo tradition. When you turn 13, you get a tattoo, something that's supposed to symbolize you as a person. I don't really know how it came around to be, nor does anyone I asked; we just do it.
For me, personally, I got a crab (my spirit animal) on my back.
Also, I find it stupid how people get their panties in a bundle over tattoos. As long as they're age appropriate, who cares? It's art, a form of expression.
For a 13 year old to know what symbolizes themselves as a person is a bit of a stretch isn't it? You've barely even been capable of a coherent thought by that age!
Also, If you put as much thought into your tattoo as your youtube name, Mr.BrutalAssMaster, I see some troubles ahead.
Says you, Mr. I-just-use-my-real-name. REAL creative there, champ. Also, believe me when I say kids aren't stupid, and to say a 13 year old isn't capable of coherent thought is even more of a stretch. The family puts emphasis on how serious of a tradition it is. Never. in history of the family, have you got a kid being like... "I really like Halo, so I want a Spartan helmet to symbolize me". Just hasn't happened, and probably won't.
Basically what i am saying is how many 13 year olds can make a sensible decision that will be with them for life, and they will continue to be happy with. I didn't say anything about stupidity; i thought the meaning was inferred but what i am saying is the majority of 13yo just lack the maturity to make a life decision, which a tattoo is.
You even mention in your first post about being the appropriate age, which legally in most western countries is 18 or of course younger with parental permission in your case. I think at 18 the vast majority of people are aware enough to make an informed decision, a 13 yo is not.
I can think of several friends who got tattoos when younger and regret them now in their 20's.
I can see where you're coming from. It's just a matter of different beliefs here. If it makes it seem less drastic, the tattoos are usually only things that will be lifelong. Like my spirit animal being the crab, that's something that'll always be with me. My dad valued honesty, and so he got "Honesty" tattooed across his upper back. My aunt raised pigeons when she was little, so she's got a pigeon taking flight on her ankle. Those kind of things.
Parental guidance is always present in the decision process, too, though not normally needed.
Yes as long as they're age appropriate...so seriously they shouldn't be getting one at the age of 13.
Interesting how the most kind comments on here tend to be from people who have tattoos and the more rude comments are from those who do not have them. Just an observation!
a cat on a snowboard god bless
There are many successful people who have tattoos.
Like lional messi Dwayne johnson
David beckham and many more.
So shut the hell up
Ajmer Jaiswal lol. Those are athletes, they are skilled at their professions. They wouldn’t turn down someone who is good at a sport by their appearance. In non athletic jobs appearance means something.
Whats the direct relation of tatoo with the job.
I mean can tatoo comes in the way of work
That's bc we're talking about an act of deviancy. The deviant is calm when their deviance is drawing criticism that's what they live for. Get attention by being good at something.....pshhhh, get them 'toos.

I don't care about what society says about tattoos. When I'm 18, I'll smother myself in tattoos.
+Devin Cloud just make sure you don't regret it later. that's very common
Devin cloud I can just imagine what kind of home you were brought up in ill bet my house that it's a broken one !
The Boss actually no. My family is in a long military family. Plus my life is pretty nice along with my family. I'm 15 with a good job of mowing grass, I make good grades to pass. Also, I live in a wealthy neighborhood along in a wealthy house. And my family get along well. So if you call that a broken family I don't know what would be for you.
+Devin Cloud people are just ignorant, some people believe getting tattoos is some huge drastic change and it means you're dumb or weren't raised right.I never really saw tattoos as a big deal, but some idiots believe they can measure intelligence on wether or not somebody has tattoos, when in reality you can tell somebody is dumb if they base intelligence on ink.But some people do have some stupid tattoos,or some gang tattoos,if you judge people with obscene tattoos then I'd understand but not just for having some.
+Devin Cloud Just make sure you find a really good artist. You don't wanna look permanently ghetto, or cheap.
Moral of the story .... If you like tattoo get them if you don't then don't get them.
Stop insulting people for their individual choices that don't affect your life in any way shape or form. It's ok to have an opinion but don't be offensive.
At the end of everyone's lives each person has to answer for the choices they've made in their lives.
For those of you out there who are wondering if getting a tattoo will lower you as a person in a society, I ask you to ask yourself why are you getting your tatt. Is it because of someone you love, someone that you lost? Tattoos are a representation of your life, don't let anyone take your spirit or your creativity. Now a days tattoos are not perceived as somethings negative but rather as a trend. Remember stay original.
I think tattoos are superficial.
I'm a nurse and I am also fairly heavily tattooed. They are all covered by my scrubs, unless I bend over across a bed. If I do the bottom of my upper arm tattoo pokes out. My tattoos haven't affected my career and the only comments are positive. I think it is perfectly fine for all you young folks to get tattoos, just be careful where you put them:)
Yep, tattoos are really safe when you need a MRI.
Employers will discriminate against those of us with tattoos, but GOD FORBID they discriminate based on gender id, sexuality, race or now, legal status. Makes sense, right?
iamunderground Yes. Because you don't choose to be a girl, black or gay but you do choose to get a tattoo. I'm not saying it's right but thats probably why.
All my tattoos are where I can cover them when needed and I have no regrets on any of my body art it's always fun to show them off when I want to and I do not care what others think of it..I'm in a process of getting both arms done up to a quarter sleeve..to me it's a expression of who I am and no one can take it from me and it will always be a good memory even in older age.😎
Damn superficial bastrd
Judge away..glad it's not my karma
I as a business owner have tattoos. I am also drug and alcohol free (straight edge). I would never judge anyone for having tattoos just like I wouldn't want anyone to judge me for having them. Anyone who does is not worth your time.
Most of the parents and students that I teach forget that I have tattoos. We even get into interesting conversations about them.
Of course you judge people for having them, and of course people judge you - because that's how people are!

i just though a tattoo was a way of someone expressing themselves or something
a form of expression on their skin i guess
I don't have a tattoo and partly its because I'm rebellious. Where I live tattoos are popular.
As someone with tattoos I understand where non tattoo ppl r coming from
Every tattooed person I meet is mentally disabled in one way or another. It's not my fault that these happen to correlate.
you can't count the total number, many more people go to the dentist than to the tattoo parlour
The difference though is that the dentist is supposed to be clean, run by ''experts''.
Yeah many more people go to the dentist, but it's quite sad to see that places where you're supposed to feel safe and in the hands of competent people
still have a risk of infection.
Christopher Hémond So there are 7 HIV cases and 43 hepatitis cases out of oh .. over a half billion dentist visits! That's pretty damn safe! You're more likely to win the lottery than get HIV from the dentist. So no need to worry about that at all.
HyperSpify Actually winning the lottery is 1 out of 175 million odds, getting HIV from the dentist would be (at max) 1 out of 44.8 million. And none of those will match the idea that a 0 will ALWAYS be less than 1.
HyperSpify
well way i see it is those 43 people said the same thing about how that's never gonna happen......oops

Okay, I'll take something even more outrageous, so you finally understand my point...
Doctors, men and women, the crème de la crème students.
1'000 reports every years of retained surgical instruments.
7'000 death due to their sloppy handwriting.
12'000 unnecessary operations.
80'000 infections.
Up to 98'000 death due to medical errors.
Do you think that's fucking normal ?
When you're not even safe among the best of the best ?
Third biggest killer in the U.S ? The Hospital.
That's fucking ironic.
It's not *ACCEPTABLE*
Everyone that i've met that have tattoos are some of the nicest people i've ever met.
I have no bad opinions about people with tattoos. In fact, I like tattoos: they're a great way to express one's ideas and imagination permanently and if someone doesn't like that, they don't really have a say because it's an individual's choice. But that's just what I think
Well this is awkward. I have three visible tattoos while being an undergraduate premed student majoring in chemistry. I also workout, conduct research, and read literature every night. Yet, I will be looked upon as a less intelligent, and healthy individual.
I think that the majority of older people suggests people with tattoos are stupid/or whatever, but younger people usually accept tattoos as a trend. When you have your body covered in tattoos, maybe people will assume you are a tattoo-artist or work in a club or another "trendy" location, but that's all. Nowadays there are so many people with tattoos. I would bet the people, in the study, who perceived people with tattoos as "less intelliget" will become extinct soon.
Of course there are also people around the age of (for example) 25, who also have this opinion about other persons with tattoos, but the majority of people probably doesn't care about that.
I have two neck tattoos and I work in the laboratory as an assistant. My tattoos aren't offensive in anyway. In addition to these two neck tattoos, I have four more tattoos . These are on both arms, two tats on each arm.
I live in Portland, Oregon. Two of my first bosses out here had tattoos, and were both super nice, super intelligent people. One of them had the most beautiful tropical floral sleeve tats I have ever seen, that were designed by his college art buddies. It seems like a lot of (though not all) places here in Portland are pretty cools with it, and a lot of doctors and business men even have them. There are a lot of art minded people living here too, and I guess being an artist myself has usually made me more interested in them then repulsed by them. I won't get one myself, but that has more to do with not liking needles.
if youve had to go to the dentist and layed there for an hour or so while they hurt then you can handle it, its really not that bad
MrBadApple999 ***** I agree it's really nothing. Depending on where you get tattooed it might feel better or worse. Typically if you have a half decent pain tolerance it will feel no worse than a sunburn.
eeeeh its a bit worse then a sunburn lol but yea it depends , i found the most annoying thing is sitting without moving for hours (3 hour long tattoo), but like i said you do that shit at the dentist anyway
MrBadApple999 Mine was two and half so I kind of know how you feel. However sunburn was the closest thing I could think of.
hmm to me felt like someone scraping skin with a pen xD but yea decent. Was on a joint or something, i have a good amount of meant so im fine haha
I got my first tattoo when i joined the navy ... and it wasnt an anchor :) that was the second one haha
Most employers are probably at least age 50+ and grew up in an age where the only people who really got tattoos were sailors and prisoners, this is probably the reason behind the negative view, at least in relation to the job market.
jarebexr my dad's 70 and a business owner and he fully supported me when I got my first at 18 last November. I guess it's not so much age as much pure opinion.

I think tattooing is a form of art and i really respect it. Yes it can be overdone or stupid but either way, its sad that people judge other people's artistic decisians.
in our country its a symbol of identity, when other tribes look at it, they instantly know what family your from. stereotypes aside, i love my tatau.
yes, this is true tattoos are for identification but result is that if you tattoo yourself you exclude yourself from other people and thus you face consequences.
it is better not to display any association with anything and be generic human being.
deltaxcd to me, it would be the same as not having a name, a name is associated to a 'family' whanau. opinions, opinions. this is why i love tamoko, tatau, uhi, or tattoo, its a very heavy touchy subject to discuss especially at my school where it's taught. arguments 24/7.
Uhh im sure your talking about white collar jobs and employers. Blue collar doesnt care so long as the job gets done we dont care what the person looks like
yep.....BLUE COLLAR jobs are okay with tattooed people... well most of them
Favilla Morty no blue collar jobs are more labour and physical demanding then white collar. Iron workers are blue collar, as are welders, white collar is an accountant. But those are very general examples. However as a blue collar worker ive worked with guys who are tattooed all over but it doest matter cause the welder face shield goes on and these guys work just the same as the rest of the shop.
Probably largely true. As long as you're happy with the idea that many, many higher paying jobs are now out of your reach, go ahead and get a tattoo.
Red Shark I’m sure you are not insinuating that blue collar work has a lower earning potential than white collar work, as many, many blue collar jobs require specialised training and can pay extraordinarily well. Mining sector, lab work, engineering.
I was gainfully employed in upper management for 35 years with my tattoos. My CEO was tattooed along with the Sr. VP of HR. I was evaluated by a professional as part of a promotion. Based on my tattoos an a non existent theme, the psychologist saw absolutely no problem.
Ladies - stay uninked and your S.M. "value" will be that much higher. Just don't ink yourself.
What this video doesn't address is what being heavily tattooed says about people which is a far more relevant question because so many people have one or a few tattoos nowadays. All the heavily inked people I've met and talked to have been incredibly pleasant, thoughtful, interesting and accepting people. You have to have those attributes to cover yourself in art at the cost of all that pain and money.
Yep, it seems most people have a tatoo these days, but then again most people have serious character defects as well. The prevalence of tatoo parlors has made it to where NOT having a tatoo is a statement in of itself.
I do find people with tattoos to be more open, more energetic, more free, more relaxed, spontaneous and easy going. So they're all good things! Only thing is I find them ugly, like really ugly to look at. No I'm not saying it's wrong to get them, it's just what they look like to me.
do you mean the tattoos themselves or the people themselves, 'cause there's a difference
I'm talking about the tattoos, not the people.
Miles Inkfox Think it is the Tattoos this person is referring to
I got my first tattoo at 52. Personally, I don't care what people think of me. People find all kinds of ways to accept or exclude you from their ideas of what is acceptable. I think they are a beautiful extension of my personality. I have four and want more.
I don't have tattoos, but I think their great! I mean it doesn't concern or is anyone's business to criticize someone who tattoos. Also tattoos are a form of art and creativity.
Well it depends on the tattoo. I know a guy who just has an upper-arm band, and I don't really care. I also know a guy who has "Screw You" tattooed across his forearm. The second guy pretty much exemplifies every stereotype of people with tattoos, it's actually kinda sad.
breezebro I think Anna's point is that while all this may be true of you, generalizing it as everyone's opinion is invalid. The very fact that you are debating with someone about it shows that it's invalid.
I actually find most tattoos highly unattractive physically. But I don't have a problem with people having them.

Not trying to be creepy but I think with tattoos are more attractive then girls without them. Tattoos show personality and I love that from girls. Shows they aren't scared of being judged and that in itself is attractive.
It says that you need tattoos inorder to express yourself. Hahaha
I don't usually like people with tattoos. call me whatever you want, but for some reason they seem a bit self centered and have a rebel attitute.
