Why did I JUST NOW see this? Glad I found your channel. I'm doing a Star Wars fan film for my daughter and I'm doing a hybrid E-11 blaster rifle and a wood bounty hunter/jawa/sandperson type of rife. You've motivated me, I sand and start painting tonight!!! THANK YOU!
Love these videos! Keeping with the Cheap theme, you can make your own washes with Folk Art paints and water, they work just as well and you can make them in any color you like. Keep up the good work 👍
Eh... I like the Citadel range myself. I don't mind paying a little extra for the Agrax Earthshade, Nuln Oil, or that pot of Druchii Violet that's served me well for making antique-bronze paired with Balthazar Gold. There's also Strong Tone from The Army Painter, of course.
Great vid , really like the look and how it turned out. I’m doing a cosplay build myself and now because of you I never would have thought of blue and gold. Sheds light onto a whole lot of color choices I may not have even considered. Hmmmmm and thanks.
Man, your repair bills must be crazy! All the holes you've shot into your workshop over the past years... And jeez, what kind of material is that shroud made from??? After firing off a few rounds it was cool to the touch??! That's some damn fine craftsmanship! I really like the gold and blue it sets it apart from the standard mass produced energy blasters you find on the dark web now. Excellent work good sir!
Great video, definitely Anthony Solo with the blaster! The shroud was excellent, I will have to see if I can find something like that, it would look good in use with my 40k Orks. Thanks for a fun video.
The Dollar store employees must think you have A LOT of children XD Anyway, I'm glad you're unapologetic about your 'blaster' subcategory; I've become obsessed with Sci-Fi blasters over the past couple of years; I love the look of them, and I enjoy watching your builds.
Loving the videos Anthony. I am getting ready to Shoot My Sci Fi short, Having a hard time coming up with a cheap way to create EVA Suits for the characters. would love to pick you brain for ideas...
I really enjoy your videos. I'm working on an overly elaborate modular staff for my cosplay (a sci-fi multiverse traveler from a novel I'm writing) would love to see more staves and stave/weapons.
My nickname on one of my jobs was 'Raygun'. Guess what I do for a hobby? Trust me when I say you can NEVER build too many blasters, disintegrator guns, laser rifles, plasma cannons or heat rays!
Tamiya Color? I use Krylon rattle-cans because the Citadel rattle-cans are generally out of my price-range. But I also enjoy painting by hand, so I've got LOTS of the Citadel pots. I love their metallics... just tested some Canoptek Alloy on a "30 Minutes Sisters" torso, and I can't WAIT to get the REST of her built. But yeah... Retributor Armor, Leadbelcher, Balthazar Gold and Iron Hands Steel are always in my arsenal of Citadel paints. I should also get some Runelord Brass and Screaming Bell.
@@createscifi I mostly use rattle-cans as primers and undercoats. Everything else is hand-painted with Citadel paints... two thin coats, just like Duncan Rhodes taught me all those years ago. >w> The Citadel paint-range also just has cool and imaginative names for their paints.
Please don't feel a need to explain doing blasters, we all totally love them, thats why we keep coming back. Great work and video AF. as always. Love the channel.
If you want to make something different you could try making the Unicorn gun from red faction (video game) (If nothing else look up a video clip on RUclips)
While I love my dremel - it's not the tool for cutting plastic. It runs far too fast. You need under 6000 rpm to get clean (not melted) cuts in PLA plastic. I ended up getting a proxon multitool and variable speed controller just for this kind of stuff. Dremel works for pretty much everything else though.
@@thetribunaloftheimaginatio5247 Oh absolutely. A hand powered saw in the ultimate is speed/control. Razor saws are good with PLA and give a much finer cut (less material lost).
@@richbuilds_com And flush-cutters (AKA side-cutters, clippers or "Gundam Nippers") are good for trimming and getting around corners. But a Dremel or some other rotary-tool is good to have around as well. "Law Of The Instrument," after all... when the only tool you have is a hammer, everything begins to look like a nail.
the weight is always ur biggest problem. when i played wiffle ball as a kid wed fill the base with a bbs and cement mix to give the bat weight. maybe try that. that u for your inspiration and techniques.

You don't simply build a weapon and sell it for way too much, you show us the whole process, including the test
That's quality right there
even now with the $ store prices going up. your creativity is priceless. I am glad you had the "on" button switched off during construction. 😋
hahah and yeah its like 1.29 LOL that's how they get ya
Your dollar store builds are awesome keep them coming!
yeah will do !
yeah, Love your builds. Have you ever considered kitbashing a mech or a robot build?
for sure
I will say this again, your Sci-Fi blaster builds is what got me to make my Blade Runner style blasters out of X-Shot fast fill water guns.
Getting ready for next Halloween
every day lol
this is crazy what you turned a dollar store toy gun into!
I appreciate your videos, they are great for inspiration!
Yeah try building a Mech a robot that really sounds good keep up the great work Anthony.
love that
Hell yeah! Another great blaster!
thx brother
Thanks 😊😊👌Nice video 👍👍👍

Great video!..!
I love your guns haha.
Although I'm more used to hero stuff, I always find some inspiration in your videos to use 🙂
Always ready for a new blaster build!! ❤️❤️❤️
Looks really nice. The paint always brings stuff to live and tells a story.
This would be great for a Halloween party prop, or just fun and practice...or decorations for the wall of a gaming room...
yeah for sure

Such fantastic content as always.
That was, cool!
4:57 why it gotta be poor? why it ain’t a genius repurpose for a tiny workshop?
16:40 Nobody has this much fun on the whole Internet
hahah thx
This is crazy, 11 million dollar movies could have props that cost 10 bucks to make, that's awsomr

I don't know if you're aware of this, but they sell black superglue. I use it for repairing my smoking pipes.
