    Hi! I watch your routine for ‘pelvic adhesions’ and try to do the routine daily.
    I have had pelvic pain for 15 years! Doing pilates and taking 5-6 drops of iodine daily seems to be helping a lot! Endo/Cysts/fibroids (I have been diagnosed with), and your routine for adhesions and adding liquid iodine to my daily morning routine, has literally changed my life. I have not been able to work much the last 15 years, I feel confident I might be able to work more. Being in pain, not sleeping, being a Mom has wiped me out. But the fact my pain is at a level 1-2 most days, where as it was at a level 5 or more, most days, worse was like a 9 and would send me to the E.R. Yay for improvement!
    So- it made sense I was deficient in iodine, I don’t eat any foods (Oysters) that are rich in iodine. Iodine, supports the thyroid and helps metabolize female hormones properly (estrogen).

    • @vibrantpelvichealth
      @vibrantpelvichealth  Месяц назад +2

      That's WONDERFUL that your pain has decreased! I'm so glad you're using my pelvic adhesions video. Thanks for sharing what you've discovered for yourself about iodine and hormones!

      @@vibrantpelvichealth Can I get suggestions as to which brand of liquid iodine would be helpful - so many choices & from all I be heard about different supplements not being what they claim to be, so it's a big help in deciding what MAY work out for me.

    • @lynne3989
      @lynne3989 Месяц назад

      One more question... Can the iodine still be any help with hormones if I'm post menopausal?

    • @SongsbyCharleneApril
      @SongsbyCharleneApril Месяц назад

      @@lynne3989 Hi. I live in Phoenix, Arizona. I got my liquid iodine from a grocery store called, Sprouts Farmers Market.
      The bottle is glass, and contains liquid iodine as a dietary supplement, and comes with a dropper (as the lid). I drop 5-6 drops on my tongue every morning. One drop did nothing to help my pelvic pain. I tried one drop daily for a month, and no help. Then I decided to try 5-6 drops daily and the difference is mind blowing. I am 5’4” and 130 pounds. If you are a lot bigger than that, maybe you will need a bit more drops, you will have to experiment.
      The back label reads, iodine 150 mcg, (as Potassium Iodide).
      The label suggests one drop a day, but like I said, that did nothing. I have been doing 5-6 drops a day with no side effects. The effect it had was only positive. I am literally so much better, like almost no pain/discomfort, compared to some days it felt like cement in my pelvis, and like someone stuck something in my right lower side and was twisting it. That’s how much pain/discomfort. I was rubbing my right side and lower back like constantly. Hope iodine helps you. Pilates is definitely helpful too.

    I'm a menopausal woman suffering from a rectocle. I have followed your Lift program. Also have had sessions with a pelvic floor PT here in my town.
    I also have an SI injury, which has caused a lot of gluteal weakness. And was told that this injury may have aided in my pelvic floor injury. I also had a cesarean section with my last chiId(16 years ago). I was released from therapy about 6weeks ago. I don't feel the rectocle pressure but pressure that feels like air /gas trapped in the vagina. I was wondering if vagina estrogen would help firm up or help with these issues. Thank you and your program has given me a lot of relief!

    • @vibrantpelvichealth
      @vibrantpelvichealth  Месяц назад

      Hi there! Yes, the SI injury (and even your history of C-section) may have contributed to your pelvic floor dysfunction. It's all connected, and anything that impacts the abs, glutes, etc. has the potential to impact pelvic floor function as well. That's why Lift is a well-rounded program that addresses your entire hip, core, and pelvic floor area -- so I'm really glad that you've been through Lift and can return to the exercises and lifestyle tips anytime! Re: your question, YES vaginal estrogen could definitely help firm up the tissues in your vulvar and vaginal regions. Talk to your doctor about it! It tends to be safe, well-tolerated, and very effective for women in perimenopause and menopause.

    What if there’s no emotional trauma, but an extremely painful GYN procedure. Everyone keeps saying take meds because I’m stuck in ForF (Central Sensitization). I do every coping exercise possible and force myself to walk. This has been 24/7 for 8 months. Ugh. And SI joint pain complicates it. Treatment is completely opposite. 😤

    • @vibrantpelvichealth

    I’m interested in trying your Overcome program and noticed your first month begins each day with relaxing movement. Mornings are typically the only time I’m able to dedicate energy to working out (strength training). Is your program something I can do after my workouts? Or, in the evenings after work?

    • @vibrantpelvichealth
      @vibrantpelvichealth  Месяц назад

      Great question! Yes, the focus of Overcome is relaxation of ALL the core and pelvic muscles during the first month. I recommend doing the Overcome routines in the morning to start your day in a relaxed, safe, peaceful state. However, I recognize that everyone's schedules are VERY different and some people do the program at other times of the day -- midday, evening before bed, etc. Re: your question about doing it in the morning after you workout, YES, that's absolutely possible. In fact, it would be excellent for you to build in 20-30 minutes after your strength training workouts to reset, rebalance, and release your hard-working pelvic muscles. I'd also encourage you to choose a few of your favorite stretches from the Overcome routines and take 1-2 rest breaks DURING your weight workout as well... That would help prevent over-activation of your core and pelvic floor during your workout and may ultimately contribute to better results from your Overcome program.

    How does a person know what specific therapy/treatment is needed for them? I'm starting Pelvic Floor Therapy with PT next week and I have no previous experience with this modality. I am menopausal and have bladder issues: urinary stress incontinence, incomplete empying, nocturia. I also have a total loss of libido, zero arousal and feel a complete loss of strength in my pelvis. I am American but live in The Netherlands. I just started with your videos and Lift program for the last 3-4 days....feeling hopeful : ). Thank you.

    • @vibrantpelvichealth
      @vibrantpelvichealth  Месяц назад +1

      I'm so glad you got started with the lift program and that you're starting pelvic floor therapy next week! You're on the right track and you're doing to learn SO MUCH about your body. Your session with your PT will give you a lot of great information; be prepared for an internal pelvic exam that may help you understand more about your pelvic floor muscle tone, level of strength, coordination, areas of pain/tenderness, etc. In the meantime, I encourage you to spend EXTRA TIME on week one of the Lift program. Focus on the week one exercises for now, for at least two weeks, before moving forward with the program. This is going to help you connect with your pelvic muscles and your breathing, and help you release/relax your core muscles, which is an important first step for anyone. If you're feeling bored with the week one exercises, spend time exploring all the additional content in the Lift program -- particularly the videos in the "bonus content" section and the videos/info in the mind-body section. Then, after you've really mastered week one, you can move forward with the program at your own pace. Take it slow, you have lifetime access. I'm excited for you!

      Yes, it's very typical for sensation to change -- and even grade of prolapse to change -- from day to day. This can be based on many different factors, including: Where you are in your menstrual cycle, how smoothly (or not) your digestion is running, whether you're particularly bloated or constipated, what types of activities you've been doing, your stress levels, etc. I recommend reading my prolapse guide, which talks about many of these factors: bit.ly/prolapseguide

    Hi Dr Bri! I really wanted to join this because I do have some questions. I couldn’t join because I’m currently 9 weeks pregnant with my first and I’ve been so insanely sick that it’s been pretty debilitating. I got some medicine from the dr that has finally given me relief and I feel human again.😊 Anyway for about the last month I haven’t been doing dedicated pelvic floor everyday. Which is a first since almost a year. I’m feeling my pelvic floor weakening and I’m starting to stress especially since I’m pregnant and I have recovered from a previous back injury (stress fracture in my vertabrae) I can almost feel my pelvis changing to prepare for baby to grow? Even though I don’t have a bump yet. But things are definitely starting to feel different down there. My question is, now that my nausea has subsided enough for me to function, which of your videos would you recommend I start with to start building back my strength asap!? Whenever I get the urge right before it comes out it clenches up same thing when passing gas. I stretch, masssge, and exercise but nothing is seeming to help. Life sucks
