awesome lesson ... love from India
Thanks for watching
Nice illustration! Thank you
Only time my traction control kicks in is on rainy streets. Still getting use to it.
so why does traction control has an off button if its in default of ON
Excellent video and demonstration
Excellent, thank you!
Wonderful video! Thank you!
my understanding in an MN triton you cannot turn off traction control, only ESC when activate the button.
4low and 4high it will be turned off if you push the button
@@4x4CampingandAdventures thanks for the quick response. This is confusing as Mitsubishi has told me you cannot turn off traction control even in 4wd only ESC is turned off by pushing the esc/traction control button. Allot of other 4wd websites say the same and I think it causes allot of confusion for novices that hear different stories. Not saying whom is right or wrong, but allot of different opinions. Thanks
From what I do on the tracks if that button is on traction control kicks in etc in high 2 high 4 and low 4 when it’s pushed off in high 2 it’s still on 4 high it’s off unless you are just spinning tyres like a mental and the same in 4 low. But again it works in your favour if you get stuck push it and you might get your self out.
i watched this and wonder. if you listen you can hear the motor go from 8 to 4 cylinders, and then your truck goes from rear wheel to front wheel drive. please explain.
I think that is called "active traction control" not traction control itself. Traction control cuts power to the throttle to prevent wheel spin.
sry but traction control stops wheel spin not trottle
tc is in the computer to the diff. not the throttle in most rigs.
@@thomasjohnston5817 traction control controls your throttle and/or brakes. Traction control reduce wheel spin by cutting power to your throttle and/or by using abs pulsation braking force. So technically it can be both using powertrain and the braking system.
excellent ... but your sound is very loud next time go more far
Hey mate I have a question where I can’t get an answer you might be able to help me. I have a mn glx. Is it possible to turn traction control off? Have no rear diff lock either
Great vid, comprehensively explained.... nice work!
+Sir_Forsaken thanks mate how is that landy of yours goinf
Bro very nicely demonstrated in the slow-motion video.
+Ronak Bhagat thank you mate im glad you liked the video!
Good video mate. I pretty much have same vehicle so this was very helpful. Keep up the good work.
+roachy.s223 good to hear mate they are very decent offroad if you use them correctly.
But without the traction control on you need to let off the gas when the wheels start to slip. With it on give more gas.
Hi mate I'm really enjoying your channel thank you so much I have one quick question when climbing will traction control be activated in low range or deactivated also would you recommend traction control on when off roading not on sand
Cheers
Hey mate thanks for watching 👍 low range if it’s turned on traction control will be activated. I would highly recommend turning it off in the sand mate
on sand yes. traction control would be keen in high. if that fails, go low. know what YOU and your vehicles limits are. to not end up in bad spot.
Some suggest turning it for soft sand?? For soft powerdy sand, does traction control hurt or help? I heard aggressive tread hurts. I wonder how much better is a wider tire is in soft powdery sand.
Won’t help at all on soft sand the traction control will kick in and bog you down.
@@4x4CampingandAdventures thanks how much better do you think wider tires will perform for me? from 12% wider from 8.5" to 9.5"?
Wider tyres don’t help to much on the beach as it’s the bagging out of the tyre that helps you in sand so normally a taller tyre will help.
some people say turn it off . Why?. Graham Cahill leaves it on so will I
Only on the beach turn it off otherwise you will get bogged.
Thank you
MOBROOKS you’re welcome!
yeah but it was a bit off to the right, it wasnt in the same place with traction control off
I think the line was a touch off but the video still shows the benefits of traction control
Good vid but looked like you were goin a bit faster with the trac cont on...
About the same speed mate it's hard to maintain a pace when doing hill climbs the key is not to go to slow to loose momentum
you were definitely going much slower with "traction control off". Traction control has it's place, but anything sandy imo doesn't work that good. Rock/ruts works great..
Sorry but you had more momentum when you were demonstrating traction Control On. I got your point though regardless.
H C bit hard to do the exact same momentum mate sometimes you might be a touch faster and slower
To go up that hill, do you use 4Hi or 4Low
+Pete Servinis depends on the situation in this case I used 4 low mate.
Thanks for the quick response buddy.
a touch off at least six inches plus you drove it into a hole, look at again and tell me that was a fair test, it should have been driven in the exact track of the first try you say a touch off hahaha big touch
Ok mate before we start to waste 2021 arguing over inch’s and how far it was off understand that the video is to demonstrate traction control and in this video it did it’s job as you can see in the slow motion video.
