I worked with one of the big Cities (Govt job) in the USA for almost 24 yrs. It’s very competitive to get in. You need to take the Exam ( written and interview) I’m an Accountant) they will rank you from 1,2….etc depending on your score (E.g. Rank 1
test core 100 - 95) If there’s one opening in one department, they will call rank 1 first and so on. The list is for only 2 years. If your’re score cannot be reach within 2 years, you have to retake the exam again. The perks are after 25 years, my pension is about $7,000 per month ( depending on your position), for life ( with annual cost of living adjust) my husband will get 50% when I passed also for life. Medical is 100% free including one dependent. I didn’t regret getting a Govt job in California. Good luck! I really enjoyed your show.💚❤️💜

Hindi madali makapasok sa gov't kasi they are union based at may collective bargaining agreement yan. If there's a job opening for a certain dept, priority ang internal hiring, kung minsan kahit hindi 80% qualified yung candidate, yun ang hire nila. Unless you have an exceptional skills and experience, that's the only time they will hire you.
By the way, working in the University is considered a government employee because we are funded by the provincial government.🙂

Maganda ang group benefit package sa both provincial and federal government. Mataas sweldo pero mataas din federal tax. The higher the bracket the higher the tax. Lalo kapag nasa sunshine list ka pa.

Are government benefits a huge difference against working for private company? If not why aspire for it. Just wondering….

Ms Ina, as soon as i watch the intro is naging excited agad ako dahil government official pala ang host niyo which is nakakatuwang isipin dahil, pina-practice talaga nila yung transparency and accountability regarding sa work ethics nila unlike dito sa Pinas 😂 - Therefore, Rules is Rules ika nga and give importance to your point system regarding work performance or else, you will lose your value and soon you'll be facing termination. 🙂 kaya, iba talaga ang bagsakan ng 1st World Country ✨ #newsubscriberhere 👋🏻 #plus+1
