CONCLUSION OF 10th NATIONAL HANDLOOM DAY CELEBRATION 2024

The 10th National Handloom Day Celebration, organized by the Department of Textile & Handi, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, and co-sponsored by the Development Commissioner (Handlooms) under NHDP, Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, came to a successful conclusion on 7th August 2024 at Abotani Hall, Ziro, Lower Subansiri District, Arunachal Pradesh.
The event was inaugurated by Shri Nyato Dukam, Hon'ble Minister of Textile & Handicrafts, and Dr. Mohesh Chai, Hon'ble Advisor to the Minister of Textile & Handicrafts, Government of Arunachal Pradesh. The celebration showcased the rich cultural heritage of Arunachal Pradesh through an exhibition of traditional handlooms, a fashion show, and cultural programs featuring local performances and a special appearance by Miss Arunachal 2024.
The event aimed to promote and preserve the traditional handloom industry of Arunachal Pradesh and was attended by officials, artisans, and enthusiasts from across the state. The success of the event highlights the importance of preserving our cultural heritage and promoting the handloom industry.
