One thing I have always loved about this film is the photography. While this was made for the drive-in movie circuit, visually it owes it’s look as much to directors like Cocteau and Renoir than to American films. The pacing as well is unusual for a drive-in film. If you haven’t seen this film please correct that mistake NOW. (Preferably the Criterion Collection release.)

This mans love of films is infectious. Used to love film introductions with him on late night tv 😁

The 1998 remake went direct-to-video. George A. Romero was a fan of the film. Sydney Berger was really good as a creepy guy who has a crush on Mary Henry.
