When you have a RAW file, the adjustments automatically show up on the Inspector/HUD. Are you by chance on a JPEG instead? You can see for sure in the metadata tab on the inspector/HUD. Check the top right corner. It will say RAW or JPEG.
how did you view the blown out overexposed areas over the picture? When I CMD+click exposure it only shows the overexposed and underexposed areas in solid colors.. thanks

I have RAW Fine Tuning under adjustments, but everything in that section is greyed out except for 'boost' and 'hue boost' ?
