Join me for a another quick wood duck box clean out and repair. The geese were on the pond, week late and a dollar short!

I went and checked one of my boxes today and it already had two eggs in it. I was surprised for sure.

Wood ducks dont bring in nesting materials. They only pluck their down to line the nest. If you find twigs or grass its usually brought in by Wrens or Starlings.

Ah, that's right! I believe you or someone told me that last year. So if I leave an empty box, they will nest entirely with down feathers?
