I made the decision to ditch buying Aventus recently having been an immovable supporter for many years, but having just compared CDNIM to the latest batch of Aventus, there is no point in defending it anymore. I love Creed but I prefer making smart financial choices.
Completely agree! I had a 2012 batch and fell in love with it. Every batch after never compared, with the exception of a 2015 batch that I picked up. I was extremely loyal to Creed but I won’t be paying that premium, that goes up every year for a product that gets diluted every single year.
I agree fully. Got 2 compliments literally back to back as soon as I walked out my house - wearing Armaf on the day I bought it! Never got compliments wearing Aventus for years.
@@loveinautumn3978 that's exactly what I did, but to a random guy at my work place a few years ago. I have a few "clones", notably CDNIM EDT and the Limited Edition, and Supremacy Silver from Afnan. I've received tons of compliments on the Afnan EDP, and only 1 on the Armaf side. I recently purchased Creed Aventus didn't waste much time in using it. I then headed to the pharmacy to pick up a few things, and while I was there I was approached by a woman that told me that I smelled REALLY good. I too probably won't purchase another bottle of Creed Aventus due to the high price, but believe it's worth buying at least one bottle throughout your lifetime.
I agree 100%. I have cdnim edt batch 2019, yes it has a harsh opening but let it settle for a while after applying, the drydown is soo great! Longevity 12hrs+ for me. 2-3 sprays are enough for the whole day. It is true, you can't find the difference. The best aventus clone ever 🔥👌👍

That's fine, most of us don't wear cologne to get compliments, at least I don't. I wear it because I like the smell and that's why I will wear creed aventus until the day I die or something better comes along.

I totally agree 100% on this. I bought CDNI in mid-2020 just to get the idea of how Aventus smell like. And just in mid-2021. I decided to buy the OG, Creed Aventus newer batch (20E01N Batch). NGL the juice inside is very high quality. It's smooth, very well blended and natural smelling. No harsh opening and synthetic like CDNI. But the performance is very disappointing. It's not long lasting. 2-3 hour and it's gone. While CDNI performs like a beast every single time!! It's a shame that Aventus is not what is used to be anymore. Newer batches just not worth it, And older batches just way too overpriced at this point. No point in buying Aventus anymore. There's a lot of Aventus alternatives out there that you can buy. I mix.. in a fill from the bottle travel sprayer... Montblanc Explorer with Club de Nuit Man Intense EDP ( the batch I got was quite smoky).. and viola!!.. instant Aventus. Try it.
I Just received my Club de nuit intense for men parfume today and my wife loves it she says I might get into a little trouble tonight, if you catch my drift 😅
I tried a micro sample of Aventus and I'm glad I didn't buy a whole bottle because it's just not that great. My dad wears something similar and I can't get past the association.
Completely agree. The hype Aventus has, has made Creed to increase its price to rocked highs. So I decided to get actually the same juice for a most reasonable price.
i have been trying to get the one from some time back.....it left a scent that clinged on for ages.....went to john lewis....tried the lot....nothing....apperntly...it is sold at the duty free at airport.....just like burberry....that left an incedible scent behind...
This fragrance was a monster in 2011-2015, then SOMETHING happened!! Idk what it is, but they opted for this bland fruitiness, which sadly, is what it's known for. The true smokey aventus of those two year golden era was when this fragrance was a monster. I'd be HAPPY to pay anything for that, but sadly it's not around.
Beg to differ David. My 2016 bottle is kick ass compared to my 2020 bottle. Much more potent, longevity and sillage. 2020 is mediocre. Perhaps they just changed the batch code 😁😁👍
OG aventus is more natural smelling than cdnim but only experienced nose can detect that therefore but it's not that huge difference.. so cdnim is good enough to enjoy the scent profile
Like you, I had one of the original formulations and it lasted me close to 7 years. It’s a shell of what it used to be and 100% agree with you...there are plenty of other Aventus inspired fragrances for much cheaper if I feel the Aventus itch come again. Great video!!
I'm not sure how it is with the cdnim edp. But I have the Edt version and real creed aventus too. But I can 100% tell the difference. The creed has a softer alcohol scent and it's more mellow but that is probably down to my cdnim being EDT. But that is the only difference really. cdnim is more "intense" than aventus but I would expect the EDT to smell even better and get rid of that alcohol scent even more.
CDNIM EDT is super weak. I personally don't really like the scent, it smells harsh. If the EDP is strong, why don't you do just one spray? Strong is a good thing
@@keithchegwin1222 yeah. It smells nothing like Creed to me. It’s just simply bad. Sad cause I make $16 an hour and have rent and stuff so that waste of $50 for me is far more important than some may think ;(
Working off microperfume samples here so who knows but the first question I ask is can I stand smelling this for 8 hours and the second question does it even last 8 hours? Creed meets the first challenge, Intense Man smells too much like margaritas to me it instantly comes off cheap, aventus tones it down with a more smooth creaminess. Long story short, I ended buying a 100ml of Savauge Elixir, a completely different fragrance but one of the few I loved more than 20 minutes. If I am going to spend the $208 I spent on Savauge Elixir I better love it 8 hours after spraying it and I don't want to ask how many times I have to respray a fragrance that is $300 for 100ml. Smelling the dry downs of both as I finish typing this the Aventus is so damn weak and that to me is shameful for the price point. I know there is a $300 fragrance I love, the winter me, Dolce Gabanna Velvet Incenso. While I was debating spending the money I ran into the Spicebomb line and was blown away by the price difference and the stronger affinity to winter.
Have you tried Nishane Hacivat? It is a supreme substitute for aventus. Joma recently had a sale on the 3.4oz bottle for 140 dollars so I picked one up. It is so good.
We have to use some reasoning here. Aventus had to be created for the clones to be created. If you now prefer the clones, there is merit in that, but credit is due where it's due, the clone is a clone because Aventus became so big.
@@nappsandnurture agree on this. The sky high prices it charges and drastic drop in quality of its juice compared to past batches, resulted in people turning to cheaper and better alternatives on the market.

Hey Joel - what’s your opinion on how long fragrances last in a bottle? Since this is from 2012 has it gone bad at all? I’m sure creed using quality materials would last longer in the bottle than most but what’s your overall thoughts behind this?
Let me tell you i live in a very hot and humid country Philippines. I have frags that are more than 10years old and they’re still good. I just store them in a dark drawer and that’s it. In short store them properly and don’t worry about them going bad
The only time I've had heat ruin a fragrance was when I kept a travel bottle in my car for like 4 summers , Heat isn't really what kills it , exposure to the direct sunlight over long periods of time ruins it.
If you’re a frag head you’ll definitely notice a difference. The opening of CDNI smells like cheap toilet cleaner. The dry down is not that bad, but if you appreciate the subtle differences of fragrances go with the creed.
2017 and before is good aventus. Anything after don't bother unless you have disposable income. Aventus is still better than clones to wear but in the air it doesn't justify spending the extra few hundred dollars because clones are so close to the new formulations of aventus

Hey Joel, First, great vids, very helpful and appreciate the quality of the info you provide. Don't you find that Afnan's Supremacy Silver is a closer match to Aventus, or is it just me? get the limited edition of Club de Nuit intense, it’s much smoother
Well it's kinda justified because it is a luxury item, hence the price is part of it.
Buy parfums vintage Emperor Extrait probably the Best clone and half 1/3 the price better performance too then the new creed aventus
Don’t listen to them but cdnim but edp limited edition cause the edt sometimes need to let it macerate for a month or 2
I mix.. in a fill from the bottle travel sprayer...
That's depressing
@@BarackLesnar-s6r you haven't seen my wife 😆😆

Joel, will you consider selling the Aventus bottle? Thank you
Thanks Mr. The Nose. Looking forward to receiving cdnim edt and edp in the next couple days. Blessings from Texas.
I ordered the ALT Executive 26 which it smells the same as the original.
I'm glad i haven't pulled the trigger on CREED A...👍
Where do you buy yours from? Do you have a trusted place?
Creo que el tiene la falsa
i have been trying to get the one from some time back.....it left a scent that clinged on for ages.....went to john lewis....tried the lot....nothing....apperntly...it is sold at the duty free at airport.....just like burberry....that left an incedible scent behind...
this man IS DEFINITELY ON THE FBI MOST WANTED LIST NOW
This fragrance was a monster in 2011-2015, then SOMETHING happened!!
Perhaps they just changed the batch code 😁😁👍
you want smoky Aventus, look no further than Afnan Supremacy Silver. thank me later.
@@o751106 still not smoky enough...
I have LOVED the narrative arc from your first CDIM video to this
I buy Aventus every 6 months I use it a good amount I’m at half bottle around six months then I buy a back up it’s just that good
Bro I appreciate your honesty and you are so accurate and so right.
Where can I find this & what is the name? I can not find it on the link you provided
But it doesn't have pineapple right?
Are you getting paid by armaf?
Agree 100%. Only difference CDNIM gets complimented way more
What is the best Aventus clone? CDNIM EDT or EDP?
Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! Ive been saying this for years!
I wear CDNIM limited edition that day. And my friend who has Aventus thought I'm wearing Aventus. That says it all.
Are you from USA? If yes where did you bought it and hm? Thanks! ✌🏼
I'm from Malaysia.
The edp or the Parfum?
@@ColdBrew_1 I've seen CDNIM bottles at perfume discounters at outlet malls if you don't want to get online.
@@wcastillo2501 yeah but the limited edition is very hard to find. Thanks tho
OG aventus is more natural smelling than cdnim but only experienced nose can detect that therefore but it's not that huge difference.. so cdnim is good enough to enjoy the scent profile
Great video. Joel! What batch is your CDNIM? 2020?
Is Creed not so expensive because it’s perfume and lasts longer
Club de nuit also beats aventus in that department too
@@SuperSyro1 ordered creed not came yet
The lemon pledge smell comes from the edt, not the edp. They mostly fixed it for the edp
My EDT has very poor longevity
@@paulgeddes7384 I have both the edt and edp. The edt lasts 7 hours or so for me. The edp lasts about the same but with less abrasive opening notes
@@jtubz187 that's a result
Have the edp, the edt and the attar and they all have the lemon pledge smell
@@markmd695 it is true that after that initial blast the dry down is really good 🙌🙌🙌
Like you, I had one of the original formulations and it lasted me close to 7 years.
I got the EDP CDNIM and absolutely hate it. It’s unbearably strong
CDNIM EDT is super weak. I personally don't really like the scent, it smells harsh. If the EDP is strong, why don't you do just one spray? Strong is a good thing
@@keithchegwin1222 Bro. It smells like a high concentration lemon floor cleaner. Idk what’s wrong with it. Even just 1 spray it smells awful
@@Doberbull . Oh the scent itself you don't like, yes I agree it isn't very nice, especially at the opening. Yes it's harsh
@@keithchegwin1222 yeah. It smells nothing like Creed to me. It’s just simply bad. Sad cause I make $16 an hour and have rent and stuff so that waste of $50 for me is far more important than some may think ;(

quick question how about buying creed from fragrancenet ???aree they legit ,,,
I love the scent on the Aventus but doesn’t last . The bottle I currently have will be my last
@@Bada_Boom78 2020 batch? I got the 11/20 batch hope it’s okay
Great videos! I have a bottle of CDNIM, but the EDT. Is there enough of a difference to justify getting a bottle of the EDP instead? Thanks
Bought it today there is nothing like it
Just bought it see if it’s worth it will update soon!
Update?
@@titusalabat5173 it’s amazing worth the money I spray about 6-8 times about 30 min before heading out.
@@titusalabat5173 because it’s a bit strong but then the dry down is great 6-8 hours longevity
I still don’t like the harshness of CDNIM after dry down. I hope someday they make it smoother.
the „harsh opening“ is not there in the edp it was in the edt only imo.
where did you get your suit?! and the shirt !?
I’m seeing this on a lot of video I gotta buy this and I know Wer it’s like 28$ and they say it’s like 95% match
We have to use some reasoning here. Aventus had to be created for the clones to be created. If you now prefer the clones, there is merit in that, but credit is due where it's due, the clone is a clone because Aventus became so big.
Can't disagree.
Creed made it waaay too easy for a clone company to compete . Mainly the price point is what did it .
@@nappsandnurture agree on this. The sky high prices it charges and drastic drop in quality of its juice compared to past batches, resulted in people turning to cheaper and better alternatives on the market.
I think , if there was no issue with quality control many of us would stay loyal to Greed …oops I mean Creed . I won’t pay $500 for a skin scent that lasts 10 minutes. So it’s over with Creed for me.
@@finnt6569 it’s a business, once you get sloppy you make it easy for others to capitalize. Smh . The crazy part is that some people want you to still spend the money for less quality and performance. That’s not how life works .
which one to buy?? Club De Nuit Intense Man Limited Edition Parfume ,,,OR,,, Club De Nuit Intense Man - EDP??
I’d rather use Hacivat tbh. Some similarities, but Hacivat is its own fragrance and performs really well.
Which batch do you have sir
The problem with reviewers is they like to exaggerate and lie,..if you’re buying creed over club de nuit you’re doing for status purpose just like 90% of the reviewers that praise creed ,,club de nuit is 100% a better cologne better projection,,and I have both
Hey Joel - what’s your opinion on how long fragrances last in a bottle? Since this is from 2012 has it gone bad at all? I’m sure creed using quality materials would last longer in the bottle than most but what’s your overall thoughts behind this?
Let me tell you i live in a very hot and humid country Philippines. I have frags that are more than 10years old and they’re still good. I just store them in a dark drawer and that’s it. In short store them properly and don’t worry about them going bad
The only time I've had heat ruin a fragrance was when I kept a travel bottle in my car for like 4 summers ,
Heat isn't really what kills it , exposure to the direct sunlight over long periods of time ruins it.
I got Mont Blanc explorer and can’t really tell the difference. So I’ll never buy adventus again.
I agree when it dries down u can’t really tell the difference
Hi Joel - hope this is not asking too much but where can I find the shirt and jacket you are rocking on this video?
$400+ for a bottle of liquid is just insane 😭 it does smell great though
At last... Someone comes up with the real truth!
I bought both they come on Friday. I also got the Dove deodorant everyone says to wear with them. Hopefully you’re right :)
If you’re a frag head you’ll definitely notice a difference. The opening of CDNI smells like cheap toilet cleaner. The dry down is not that bad, but if you appreciate the subtle differences of fragrances go with the creed.
Creed doesn't even smell like Creed anymore.
@@rudyrosasjl TFW lol
How much cost for the company to manufacture this perfume including the bottle? I'm guessing no more than $12 as a read somewhere.
Can I have the rest of that? 🧐
Your Welcome! Have a great Night see you in the Morning for another day and another great Video!
I only recently got into fragrances. I'm really curious how different the original creed aventus is. The new formulas smell great to me.
2017 and before is good aventus. Anything after don't bother unless you have disposable income. Aventus is still better than clones to wear but in the air it doesn't justify spending the extra few hundred dollars because clones are so close to the new formulations of aventus
Only reason to buy Aventus(or most Creed) is prestige. Like women spending a lot for some handbags- to mog others.
So correct, prestige.👍
Good afternoon, 1st time checking out your channel, enjoy your take on AVENTUS and I completely agree with your assessment, I own both and many other inspirations of AVENTUS and agree the MONEY is certainly best spent elsewhere rather than CREED, be safe and BLESSED BROTHER 💯
I just don't know why companies reformulate their colognes?
You are 100% right just got a bottle of CDNIM EDP and it is better then the new batches of Creed Aventus. How many sprays of CDNIM should someone wear?
At least 15, like Joel says 😊😊
Mont Blanc explorer while close but not exactly similar. Last longer and give the same feel.
I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING THE 2012 CREED AVENTUS BOTTLE FOR SO LONG PLEASE ILL PAY FOR IT CAN YOU SHIP IT TO GERMANY I WANT TO SEE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE NEW ONE
Is the limited edition better or just stick to the edp?

@@Dylan-lt3je hello Dylan its EDP.. sorry I don't keep the box so no idea about the patch number but I bought it from the Creed boutique in April 2020.. I know its from the new patches because the pineapple note everyone talking about is not there.
Hey Joel,
First, great vids, very helpful and appreciate the quality of the info you provide. Don't you find that Afnan's Supremacy Silver is a closer match to Aventus, or is it just me? I'm a big fan of Afnan, and find that they did the best job in replicating Aventus with Supremacy Silver (as they should because the note breakdown is exactly the same). However, CDNIM parfum does perform noticeably better. Anyway, this has been a never ending discussion for years, and maybe it'll die eventually. Nevertheless, I was just curious to know your take on this.
Thanks,
Jay
