You may be underestimating how entertaining AND therapeutic the '58 Apache project is to a lot of your fans. A fair number of us feel better about our projects as we see you deal with the similar frustrations on yours. You have a real knack for making your projects fun to watch, just like your intro states! Thank you!
That rat cracked me up...I saw that the other day on Channel 2. He looked like a shoplifter making a break for it and running face first into the glass security doors at the mall. Save that clip, Puddin. 😂 I'd add it to the channel opening.
Are you trying to get PUDDIN in more trouble with C E D A, Playing that in the intro, they would consider that prolonging the embarrassment to that poor rodent!!! By the way, have YOU made your donation to the founder, EVEN SKINNYPANTS??????😆😆😆😆😆😆
Dude. I am jealous! I have been eyeballing a couple. Life has been kicking me in the nuts for the past year, but I am going to get one eventually. A '58 GMC just became available, but I can't afford a stick of gum right now. Of course, the five years that I spent harassing the owner, he didn't want to sell. Timing can be brutal. Oh well, congrats on your project!
The delivery guy and the trash cans. A family story that you're not likely to forget. Well played on that situation brother. Your attitude is friggin mint, bud.
Ordering the correct parts and planning out projects is a skill I don't think ill ever ever master. Easier to build a car than it is to order a single bolt
Good for you wearing a respirator when messing with those brakes. I lost my father 30 years ago from lung cancer and asbestosis. In Virginia they required vehicle inspections and he did them for 36 years before he passed in 1994. It's nothing to ignore or dismiss. Keep safe.
I'm missing my dad. Can I get a Puddin Pops video for Xmas? Maybe another "will it run" on a family vehicle? You and your dad together and working, that would make my Xmas.
Hey PUDDIN..... that first obs yella or orange... luv you bought.... Take that thing and weld it to a tall pole in front of your new shop and make a sign out of it for the New shop....
I’m not sure if you know this but projects is what keeps us watching Puddin’ I’m sure the shirts and hats help pay some bills but I think you do need more projects actually. I mean, how else are you going to fill up all that acreage you have out there at the new shop.
This episode is a keeper! I also have a '58 Apache with the BIG rear window. She's in pretty rough shape, but a workable roller. No engine or tranny, would like to pop a 260 or 290 inline 6 in her with a 4-speed. The rest is just tin work and hammer-and-dolly action. Your rig is just cherry, and the gentleman will have a truck he can be proud of thanks to you. Cheers!
asbestos is why you use brake clean instead of compressed air to clean the dust out of them. i remember the tech in the bay next to me cussin' me out for using an air hose on the first brake job i did, at the first garage i worked at in high school. i always used an airhose at home on the farm when i worked on brakes as a kid, so i didn't think much of it. i'll be 57 in a couple weeks, and ain't died of asbestosis yet.
Dear Puddin, Perhaps the most valuable lesson that i learned as a recovering Christian is NEVER EVER EVER pray for patience. My pastor taught me "If you pray for patience you will get TRIALS". Yep. More reasons to be patient. Also do not allow others to pray for you to be more patient. I believe that praying for another to be patient is an act of violence. Ponder that. On a happier note please know that my entire family loves and adores every minute of your content. Thank you for all that you do to entertain us. I wish you all maximum prosperity and perfect health.
Puddin' and Slick... kinda like Laurel and Hardy, or Abbot and Costello... doesn't matter what they are doing, they make it funny! Thanks for taking us along for the ride!
As a former GMtech, I learned something early on… inspect before ordering, so this is how I go about things… disassemble, measure, inspect and take the old when order is being made especially at autozone or O’Rielly’s ! Then all screw up belong to you for going there in the first place!😂😂😂
those are called clutch head bolts/screw Only reason I know that is my 53 Chevy had the same type and I had to get replacements for it. My grandpa told me what type they were when I was a teen. I have a complete screw diver and socket set of them yo cant hardly find them anymore. I'm now 55
One of my favorite things about your channel is the fact you show your mistakes and times where things don’t go smooth. It makes it realistic. I can’t tell you how many times one of my vehicles has sat for times because I couldn’t get parts or more then likely forgot to order.
That is a clutch head screw on the thermostat housing.Ooops, my bad. Answered and then saw Bill got it for you, lol. Pulled the fuel pump out of my 56 chevy a couple of months ago. Looked exactly like that one. Never knew they put dissolving floats in those!!
When I was about 12 or so I built an AMT 55 Chevy stepside model kit and painted it very similar to this truck, but I did a white roof on mine. I know no one will care but it is funny to me to see a similar one IRL 30 some years later.
"Clip type" wheels were used thru 1959. Dimple type beginning in 1960 for GM trucks. That's a "Clutch Head" bolt. '40's and earlier GM door panels etc. Glad to see you with a mask on while blowin' the asbestos dust from the brakes. One of my many sins from the '60's on. I finally broke my 4 in 1 does everything brake tool. You could use one too. Love PB Blaster .. never ever on brake stuff ever!
That is one nice truck. And, hey, there's going to be another episode... Now the lemon tree is pretty, And the lemon flower smells sweet, But the fruit of the lemon That just tastes like... Well, lemon, obviously... 👍
Just letting you know to protect yourself from Asbestos. Spray down the area with a surfactant (sticky water) , the respiratory filter you have needs to have a magenta stripe on it.. also clean shaven when doing a respirator..so surfactant it is..
Hang in there Puddin,Your videos are the best even when all things dont roll your way, slick 50 saved the day..........................................Fort Worth,Tx
Thanks Puddin for getting a video out every Monday no matter what! I've been having the same ordeal with my daily driver, 3rd order from ebay and still not fixed, 2 were wrong and 3rd was crappy chinese part that broke! At least you're having fun and not making a reality tv show type drama about it!!
my dad back in 1968 bought a 5 window with a fresh metal flake blue paint job for 800 bucks! the person he got it off of put a 327 and a 4 speed in it. it was nice, i have pictures of it somewhere. and of course, another awesome video.
Ok 👌 I’m glad it’s not just me. I can’t get parts and I just can’t seem to get anything right lately…. I walked out of the garage and cracked a 7UP and lit the Yule log 🪵 then had a Nerf shootout with my 2 Boys.
Another way too do ur drum brakes.. just do one side at a time.. if u get stuck just go look at the other side... as long as they was put together correctly the last time they were apart.....
Great content. I always say us Hot Rodders and Mechanics are the definition of CRAZY! We do the same things over and over and expect different results. We always think everything will go perfect when in reality it NEVER does and we still act surprised.. LOL That is the definition of CRAZY.. But we still love doing it. Keep up the great content. Good or bad results it's at least honest..
That looby dooby is great for break n ur loose but a little antiseeze goes a long ways on the threads an backing plates wair spotts n springs ,but watch it she gets everyware . thank you for the help an amazing spirits of your content hats off to ya😆👍
Watching the videos is the best thing that ever happened on Monday
For sure
I agree 💯

I learned to drive at the age 14 in a 1958 chevy truck. Fleetside. Short bed. 283 3 on the tree. I’m 67 now.
That rat cracked me up...I saw that the other day on Channel 2. He looked like a shoplifter making a break for it and running face first into the glass security doors at the mall. Save that clip, Puddin. 😂 I'd add it to the channel opening.

Playing that in the intro, they would consider that prolonging the embarrassment to that poor rodent!!!
By the way, have YOU made your donation to the founder, EVEN SKINNYPANTS??????😆😆😆😆😆😆
That was a fearless jump off the table
It was a mouse!
Man, this 58 is WAY cleaner than my 62 Apache project is. Gonna be a great truck! I mean yours is.
I think every mechanic is on the struggle bus getting parts! You’re doing a great job dealing with it and still getting out good content!
Hell fire, it's a 64 year old truck. Parts for them are pretty much, non existent.
I bought a 55 panel truck today with a inline 6!! Super excited to start working on it!! You definitely give people motivation!!
Just remember..."Sittin on yer ass wont finish yer project!"
Dude. I am jealous! I have been eyeballing a couple. Life has been kicking me in the nuts for the past year, but I am going to get one eventually.

Oh well, congrats on your project!
@@letsdothis9063 paid $3700
I had to save my butt off! It will happen for you just keep the hope alive!
@@dsc420247 $3700 ? Sounds like you got a damn good deal.
Lol! I have a 59 Apache restomod, and a 59 panel also with a straight 6! Don’t know quite yet what I’ll do with it, but I have a few ideas!
The delivery guy and the trash cans. A family story that you're not likely to forget. Well played on that situation brother. Your attitude is friggin mint, bud.
Mr Bill knows his stuff, clutch head screw.
Pudding we don't watch just to see your success we kind of friends we like hanging out
Ordering the correct parts and planning out projects is a skill I don't think ill ever ever master. Easier to build a car than it is to order a single bolt
Awesome Apache truck build
The 58 Parts are hard to get. But nothing like getting another project and more Lemons. 😊
That 58 is my dream truck. And yes it would look amazing slammed
the best part of the job is ALL YOU LIKE IS FINISHING SOUNDS SIMPLE TO ME
Looks like your week went as well as my last 50 years.
Another adventure with Puddin
Good for you wearing a respirator when messing with those brakes. I lost my father 30 years ago from lung cancer and asbestosis. In Virginia they required vehicle inspections and he did them for 36 years before he passed in 1994. It's nothing to ignore or dismiss. Keep safe.
You really should restock EVERYTHING for the holidays.
Oh man, the troubles happen to everybody. Don’t stress, just move onto what you can do. We’ll still be here watching!
Gittin er done with whatever comes 👍👍
I'm missing my dad. Can I get a Puddin Pops video for Xmas? Maybe another "will it run" on a family vehicle? You and your dad together and working, that would make my Xmas.
Hey PUDDIN..... that first obs yella or orange... luv you bought.... Take that thing and weld it to a tall pole in front of your new shop and make a sign out of it for the New shop....
Pot county Monday's here at Puddin's Fab Shop. Always a good time.
Hot Damn, here it is …. More brakes, brake parts and accessories.👍😀 the mini-truck count goes up by 1. And we have hubcaps for a dozen more! 😂🤣😉👌
The short bus has seat belts!
Man, take a break from videoing, between Christmas and New Year, enjoy your family and friends first, WE will all still be here next year. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
You make these videos feel like I’m hanging out in a garage with a friend. Look forward to videos from both channels man. Keep up the great content!
Watching you and Slick working together is worth the price of admission. 😂😂😂
Hopefully the valve train holds up in said Luv Tap with Flat Foot Slick driving
Keep up the awesome videos! We like when things don't always go smooth, its authentic!
Really enjoy when Slick is around. Can’t help but laugh along with you guys.
I’m not sure if you know this but projects is what keeps us watching Puddin’ I’m sure the shirts and hats help pay some bills but I think you do need more projects actually. I mean, how else are you going to fill up all that acreage you have out there at the new shop.
Needle nose vice grips work well on the pb cable springs.
I’ve pulled them dang masters before then pulled complete set up out of a Monte Carlo even the brake booster itself and pedal
finally caught up on the main channel. Now time to binge me some puddin on the 2nd channel,
Rock Auto has all the brake and coolant parts for that truck in stock!!!
When I lived up in Major Co. I had a 58 and drop a 454 down in it.
This episode is a keeper! I also have a '58 Apache with the BIG rear window. She's in pretty rough shape, but a workable roller. I got my Yee Hawl and Puddins Fab Shop stickers. Life is good. 😁😎

Stuff happens! As I tell my wife, LIGHTEN UP AND ENJOY LIFE!
Puddin' and Slick... kinda like Laurel and Hardy, or Abbot and Costello... doesn't matter what they are doing, they make it funny! Thanks for taking us along for the ride!
You could make a video of you picking fleas off a dog and I'd watch it!Keep 'em coming brother!!
that truck is amazing! never get to see them that clean in the rough over in PA.
Bill & slick are a great ad to show show when they are hanging out. You really make our Monday a better day.
This was a real week. All my projects turn out like this. Lol I love old stuff but they never have parts in stock.
As a former GMtech, I learned something early on… inspect before ordering, so this is how I go about things… disassemble, measure, inspect and take the old when order is being made especially at autozone or O’Rielly’s ! Then all screw up belong to you for going there in the first place!😂😂😂

Hey Puddin, my uncle had a cinder block shop like that when I was younger. Kerosene heater under a ceiling fan kept it pretty warm relatively cheap.
Get a brake tool kit!!! They make drum brake jobs WAY easier!!!
The lubrication station!
At least you managed to re-muster the brake adjuster!
I really enjoy the videos from both channels!!! Slick is a great addition to the team.
When I was workin on my 46 chevy truck I had to buy some clutch head tools Im 68 but had never heard that term before.
When I was about 12 or so I built an AMT 55 Chevy stepside model kit and painted it very similar to this truck, but I did a white roof on mine. I know no one will care but it is funny to me to see a similar one IRL 30 some years later.
that style of screw on the thermostat housing is a pry bit socket or double d socket if im not mistaken
Great work any great fun.
I would recommend using a kettle or two of boiling water to clean the brakes instead of blowing it all around the workshop.
That old apache is pretty cool
51:06 The "R" stands for Rambler. (Pre-American Motors)
I’m watching from the delivery room just had my third daughter today cheers 🍻
Haven't been in touch for awhile on my wife's phone right now. But like the video and like always Getter done 😎
Glad you bought the yellow Beauty
You should send those flexi hoses to Sir Morticus and the Duffanator.
A fellers is very grateful for the Monday videos. The second channel is awesome, it holds a guy over until Monday.
"Clip type" wheels were used thru 1959. Dimple type beginning in 1960 for GM trucks. That's a "Clutch Head" bolt. I had a 58 GMC had fun doing everything you did to the Apache
Mortske in the morning and Puddin at night.....Best day of the week!!
That is one nice truck. And, hey, there's going to be another episode... Now the lemon tree is pretty, And the lemon flower smells sweet, But the fruit of the lemon That just tastes like... Well, lemon, obviously... 👍
Still a Monday full of laughs. Keep your spirits up you could be from North Dakota.
Just letting you know to protect yourself from Asbestos. Spray down the area with a surfactant (sticky water) , the respiratory filter you have needs to have a magenta stripe on it.. also clean shaven when doing a respirator..so surfactant it is..
Well done!
use your garden hose to clean dusty brake parts. (works very well )
Really proud of ya bud, I appreciate younger guys putting in the effort..
You’re work is great man, keep up the good work!!
Hang in there Puddin,Your videos are the best even when all things dont roll your way, slick 50 saved the day..........................................Fort Worth,Tx
The bolt head at 13:16 ... My dad always called them "Clutch" screws. Used to see them on the clutch plates alot. Just googled clutch head. It agrees.
As always, love the video. Hope the whole family has a great Christmas!
It's all part of wrenching brother still good n
Those brake adjusters, after I get them free and cleaned up, I coat the threads with a little anti seize or brake grease before reassembly
Clutch Head bolt, GM has them on every damn thing
Thanks Puddin for getting a video out every Monday no matter what! I've been having the same ordeal with my daily driver, 3rd order from ebay and still not fixed, 2 were wrong and 3rd was crappy chinese part that broke! At least you're having fun and not making a reality tv show type drama about it!!
Clutch bit bolts & screws on those old gmcs/chevys
It's like setting in my garage again. My most heartfelt thank you.
my dad back in 1968 bought a 5 window with a fresh metal flake blue paint job for 800 bucks! the person he got it off of put a 327 and a 4 speed in it. it was nice, i have pictures of it somewhere. and of course, another awesome video.
Haha! Yellow snow, watch out where them huskies go!
Loving the 1st Gen Couriers
I do injoy watching you I try to learn from you and thank you
got my hat in on damn its a goodin just like every Mondays videos
Ok 👌
I’m glad it’s not just me. I can’t get parts and I just can’t seem to get anything right lately…. I walked out of the garage and cracked a 7UP and lit the Yule log 🪵 then had a Nerf shootout with my 2 Boys.
A brush from a gun cleaning kit works pretty good on cleaning threads inside a cylinder
Another way too do ur drum brakes.. just do one side at a time.. if u get stuck just go look at the other side... as long as they was put together correctly the last time they were apart.....
Great vid and work , thanks for sharing 👍

Sweet build even with all the problems
Please more video of Puddin and Slick pulling junk off the trailer. Pure gold!
