I was so happy that your video came up on my feed and as soon as I heard your voice I thought I recognize her and it was because we were going to be going to Israel leaving October 18, 2023 and we wanted to pack light so I listened to your voice quite a bit last fall now we’re going to South Africa September 1 so thank you for all the tips.
Your packing videos are always great, have a wonderful time! Oh, and you’ve probably seen them but Prana’s Halle pants come where you can roll them up vs zip off, I own several of those.
Thanks!!! I didn't know about bringing cash for guides and staff. We are leaving in 3 weeks for Nairobi Kenya and will be on safari for 8 days. Lots of helpful information! I will not be taking the black zip off pants I bought. LOL I hope Kenya does US dollars as well. :-)
Great tips, as always, Sarah. I'm a big fan. When I first watched your videos and you mentioned weighing your clothes I knew I had found a "sister-vagabond." I very much would like the link to your monocular/cell phone rig, but I can't seem to find it. (No rush, my safari isn't until next year!) I would also be curious for a post-safari review of your selected gear. I know you are just about out the door, so Bon Voyage! And thanks so much!
Leaving for Kenya and Tanzania trip in August. Your video is very helpful. Could you please answer this asap. Because I am vegetarian I am planning to take a couple of snacks but they are all packed in paper/ plastic wrappers. Wondering if they will be ok in tents we plan to live with ants and other insects getting attracted to it. Should I take airtight boxes to store them, although having space constraints
If you are doing a night drive, I'd suggest bringing a scarf. It may be very buggy and wearing a scarf will keep bugs out of your nose and mouth as you are riding in the back of an open air vehicle.
Sooooo, is this a case of good for you, not for me, or are we going to be judged and found wanting if we come on one of your tours? We camp and take hiking and biking trips, so we have the zip off pants. We like to take them to Europe because they are light and dry quickly. I don't think we've ever converted them to shorts.
Super! Would love to see how it all fits into your backpack later!
I’m not headed on a Safari, but I love the packing videos.
Same!😅

Great information, especially about the colours and why you need to avoid dark ones.

Good advice!
I shop at Columbia as well. This is the best value.
Glad it was helpful!

What is the brand and model of your monocular? I am looking for one which is suitable for eyeglass wearers.
What brand is the collapsible water bottle? I've been looking for one. Thx
In case she doesn't answer... looks like a HydraPak Stash to me. Check me on that, though.
Thank you!@@LP-jn4tw
Were visas needed?
