I am from Utah and started to travel to Lexington for work 2 weeks a month. We don’t have whitetails here in utah and would like to get a whitetail to hang on the wall any pointers on where to start scouting for next year. Also I’m a fly fisherman and would love to get into some bass fishing on a Saturday close to Lexington
Tons of Public land in southern KY in Laurel/McCreary Co, a lot in Breathitt Co as well. There's also some near the Red River Gorge, but there are almost too many hunting that area these days. All these areas are within 2 hours of Lexington. Your best bet is to download OnX hunt app, and find large areas of Public land and various access points to use. Mostly all I hunt is public land during spring turkey season, and would be near impossible without OnX. There are some good creeks to fish near Lexington. A real popular one for smallmouth is called Elkhorn creek. It's in the Frankfort/Lexington area!
I've never in my life heard 2 dudes having a conversation non stop with a buck like that in front of you. Sorry but I was screaming Shut up at the TV lol
Great choice in music 👍🏻
