His brain was so fast and intelligent to process physical movement but his body was not ready for that long term. Just the way his genetics gave him the most beautiful physical movement and explosiveness the world has ever seen, it also gave him the negative side of that gift. For me he is the most phenomenal player that ever lived.
Trochlear Dysplasia and Hypothyroidism, yet was still the most complete centre forward in footballing history. He lost 30% of his mobility before he even reached Barcelona, yet was still the GOAT. Never to be forgotten, El Fenomeno. 👏
it’s actually quite easy to project his trajectory based on what he was able to achieve from his “peak” and before career ending knee injuries and considering he had more goals by 22 (more than Messi and cr7 at similar age group) while not playing for super teams (prevalent for elite players in this era) and without the rules that protect attacking players as seen today and taking into consideration…his miraculous comeback after those tragic knee injuries and winning the way that he did in 2002 (without the explosive pace, without playing much football due injuries and not match fit by any means and can’t even train and considering he felt pain every time he kicked the ball)… one can easily deduce that he would have had a far greater impact without those inhibiting knee injuries that curtailed his career … also the world Cup win in 2002 in many ways proved that he truly was a legitimate GOAT candidate if not for injuries and vindicated the coach faith in him in spite of not even being 70 percent fit ..(he lost 5-6 worth of prime years and that equates to lost of opportunities for team accolades, team honors and progress, development and also growth)
Before his injuries he was definitely the best player the world had seen its hard to know whether he would of been a CR7 and Messi even without the injuries as i dont think he would of been as dedicated. The greatest striker ever
i highly agree, if not at least the best striker of all time. people like to argue he never won a champions league, but that was due to him playing for milan, inter milan, barcelona, and madrid during times the teammates weren’t fit to win. Plus, he’s won more world cups then both Messi and Ronaldo combined. that alone tells me he’s the greatest of all time. people can’t argue how many goals he score. due to his injury and disease he was forced to retire; and plus ronaldo and messi weren’t rly strikers. ronaldo was a winger messi was midfield.
In 1996-97 Ronaldo was obliged to play with Brazil and missed decisive la Liga matches with Barcelona that costed them the title. Utterly scandalous and unfair. He was unplayable and Barcelona with him would have won 100%.
Young Messi, also dribbling maniac. But lacking set piece ability. He become more complete and developed as time come. And today you can see how he has so much attribute such as goalscoring, playmaking, creativity, passing and vision. Can't imagine what r9 can capable of if he had Messi path career, considering he already had balloon dor at 21. Will be perfect player, considering he had ideal height
Ronaldo after his first serious knee injury during the 95/96 season at PSV, his doctor said he lost 30% of mobility and speed so we never saw the real Fenomeno
@mechaishida7588 Kids don't know that he had to reinvent ways of playing more times than any other player in history. The knee injuries where symptoms of hyperthyroidism which only became obvious after he was 30 years old.
@@liongordel9088 Yes, 100%. Many don’t realise that he had Trochlear Dysplasia in the knees, and Hypothyroidism. He lost his incredible acceleration and even more agility after 2000 (when his knee exploded), but he adapted his style around the weak knee, and was still a world class striker, like you said. I was fortunate to see him play in many live matches, and he is still the best forward I have ever seen. There won’t be another El Fenomeno. That’s for sure. 👍🏻
Ronaldo Nazario has made me fall in love with the game, to not miss any of his games, whether it was with Brazilian national team or clubs he played from the days he was a youngster at Cruzeiro to PSV, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, Ac Milan and his career ending club Corinthians. The way he received the ball, run and sprint on the pitch, his passion to play beautiful game, his way of dribbles and goal scoring were out of the world, and I tell you as a kid and teenager in early 90s i had to go outside home watching his games coz our VC television was not working well plus frequent power cut was nott helpful either, and i got to say, we will never see a player like Nazario R9 anymore.
Ronaldo wasn’t given the best team until the year his knees popped in 99 with signing of vieri etc in Madrid he had one year that he could’ve won it but Madrid got rid of makalele and hierro which was a huge mistake. Btw in the beginning you mention his accolades before the knee injuries, he was also a two time copa america winner and the confederations cup
Career ending injuries have to be the saddest way to go out of any sport. All that time and dedication just for it to all come crumbling down from something completely outside of your control. Just sad smh. Reminds me of of the movie "Friday Night Lights" sad ending 😔 (amazing movie btw)
This is why Ronaldo De Lima is better than messi and CR7 he won everything at times when serie A was the toughest league in the world the question the world have right now is “IF IT WASN’T FORTHE INJURIES WHAT WOULD” u know the rest
In that time best players cost 10-15mil now 100+mil after just 2 decade, it should be 10mil more every decade but its not. 50mil more for every decade, its crazy.

He's still the best regardless the most complete player ever
Ngl I think Ronaldo Nazario is the best player to ever live
It’s my opinion

although he had a legendary career it makes me sad to think he could have been even more! the undisputed best player in history
I watched the whole episode. That was an amazing video. Ronaldo is the greatest who ever touched football
I think that's Maradona. R9 may be close 3rd after him and Pele

Legit, an amazing video, with well researched info and editing. Deserves WAY more views. Honestly superb.

True
😢😢😢 People don't know that we read this in magazines/news because we didn't have RUclips or TikTok back in the day.
@@liongordel9088Let them worship their CR7, we know better. R9 was 100x better, and always will be El Fenomeno.

Ppl forget how bad those injuries were … he really should have never played football ever again
Your a very underrated creator😊
Thanks for the compliment man. I really appreciate it🙏❤

@@IllustroFootball more worth
The game shouldn't be Germany versus Brazil, but rather Oliver Kahn versus Brazil.
He was the best player
My gues is he was poisoned
Remove those clicking sound they are terrible

Think they're good actually maybe just make them slightly quieter but you should definitely keep them
Unlucky
Lost Ronaldo lost Neymar
