@@faiyyyeru_17 Why? Chronologically in story and by release Zero was first. Also you won’t really understand the protagonist’s character development or motivations for the different routes unless you have the context from what happens literally right before in Zero. As well as the gravity of servants like Saber and Archer from Zero. You are essentially reading the second book in a series before the first book if you watch either one of the others first. Also literally all context for the love interest in Heaven’s Feel. Fate Zero builds up the world and characters so you understand more about everything so the impact means something later rather than everyone being confused. You do you but that seemingly doesn’t make any sense what you’re implying
@@thomasdowney4390 I just gonna answer with short version of it 1. The author itself recomended people to watch it after F/SN. Gen The Butcher himself said that the Light Novel of Fate Zero is made with the idea that someone is already read the Visual Novel of F/SN. I can give the link for you if you want. 2. F/Zero is Prequel to F/SN. By the definition, Prequel is meant to be watched/consumed after the main one. Yeah, you could say that "Oh you can also watch Prequel first", but that kinda defeat the points of "PREQUEL" isn't it? 3. F/Z literally spoils all the route. And F/SN itself is about mystery, both literally and figuratively. That's why all the mystery and explanation is already unfolded in fate/zero, because its meant to be the answer of some F/SN mysteries. 4. Fate Zero overall have different tone from other fate series (close to FSF at this point in my opinion), and it sets up the wrong expectations about the whole Fate Franchise. Some anime fans gonna be disappointed. And yes, that happens. Just go to reddit. (5. You can ignore this, its just my rant, but fuck the characterization of Saber in Zero. They make her too naive and idealist. She ain't a Artoria Lily from Fate Grand Order.) Again, you can ignore the point 5, its just my personal rant lol. But yeah, thats my opinions on why people should watch UBW first. I just try to make some people consider to watch it from UBW first, not Zero. After all, its how the author intended too. Well you do you. Cause in the end, from the lore perspective itself Zero is a slightly different timeline from UBW. And that means the watch order doesn't matter lol, as long as people watch it and get it.
It's only get complicated because the OG Fate VN had 3 route, but animated by different studio. Imagine if all JoJo part animated by 6 different studio, but all in form of series, movie, OVA, game and LN.
I watched Fate: Zero first. I was so confused at first, but I eventually started to understand things. Then I watched Stay Night: UBW, and I can say that Zero is a lot easier to understand if you watch UBW first. That said, watching Zero first feels better to me. Even tho its confusing, I love both Fates.
Doesen't rlly make sense to me how watching 5th Holy Grail War first will help u understand the 4th Holy Grail War, then again, same can be said the other way around, overall Fate timeline is a bit fcked up, so each part completes the other

It’s because on the surface level, it’s relatively easy to figure out. Once you dive in a bit deeper is when it gets very complex. At least that’s my opinion.

If you don't want to play the Visual Novel, then YOU'LL GET SPOILED NO MATTER WHERE YOU START, so start with anything you want (except Heaven's Feel, watch this only after Unlimited Blade Works). The only reason why it's so hard to get into Fate is because the anime adaptations came out in a super confusing order. The original game tells the full story, with all the details in the most optimal order, that's why people say u should start from the game.
heres the order i watched all fate stuff in 1. fate/zero 2. fate/stay night unlimited blade works 3. fate/stay night heaven's feel 1,2,3 ( movies ) after that you can watch in any order tbh 1.fate/aporcrypha 2. fate/grand order The movie divine realm of the round table camelot wandering 3. the above movies 2nd part 4. fate/grand order first order ( movie ) 5. fate/grand order absolute demonic front: Babylonia 6. fate/grand order final singularity grand temple of time : solomon after all this you can watch 1. fate/strange fake 2. fate/lost encore 3. Lord El-Melloi II's Case Files: Rail Zeppelin Grace Note then theres 1. fate/kaleid liner prisma illya and it's sequels 2. carnival phantasm 3. fate/grand carnival 4. today's menu for the emiya family

The two possible starting points are Fate Stay Night: Unlimited Blade works(2011) and Fate/Zero. Flip a coin and watch one, the rest can be watched in pretty much any order now that you're invested.
imma just put it in simple man terms and say start with Ufotable Unlimited Blade Works --> Fate/Zero --> Heaven's Feel, in that order. after that just do whatever tf you want. it ain't that complex to start, people just like to think it is
Stumbled upon this vid since it's recommended. Idk if he has some issues in the head or just unable to listen or think this is a video supposed to make fun of the fate series' biggest flaw
I don't understand why yall don't get it when it's simple and intuitive. Just start with "Fate/Stay Night" and then go to "Fate/Apocrypha" and then "Fate/Grand Orther" (FGO) First Order and you decide whether you want to go to "FGO Camelot" 1 and 2 then "FGO Babylonya" and then "FGO Solomon" OR "Fate/prototype" ( and The Garden of Sinners 1 to 8, but you don't have to watch them) which takes you to "Fate/Zero" which is a sequel to the first season which takes you to "Fate/Strange Fake" or "Lord El Millor 2 Case Files" so "Fate/Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works" (UBW) (which takes you to the events in "Fate/Apocrypha") or starts "Fate/Heavens Feel" (FHF). But to really watch it without any spoilers, you need to rewatch "Fate/Stay Night", go to "Fate Extra" and then go to "Fate/Last Encore" to go to "Fate Exterllo" to "Fate exterllo Link" OR from "Fate Extra", go to "Fate Extra CCC" which brings for you to "Fate Extra CCC Fox Tail". RIGHT AFTER the CCC events you can, without spoilers, go to "FHF Presage Flower", then "FHF Lost Butterfly" so "FHF Spring Song" (which also brings you to the events in "Fate/Apocrypha"). You can now rewatch "Fate/Stay Night" again to start "Fate/Hollow Ataraxia", read "Carnival Phantasm" and/or "Fate/Kailed Liner Prisma Illya" (KLP) for "KLP 2wei!", "KLP2wei! Herz!" and "KLP 3rei!" OR "KLP Oatha Under Snow" Additionally, FGO brings to: Fuyuki, Orleam, septem, Okeanos, London and Pluribus, but you don't really need them. There are some spinoffs and paths that I don't know about, so I won't specify, but I know they exist. SIMPLE, RIGHT??
Watch order: 1. Fate/stay night unlimited blade works season 1 and 2 (2014) 2. Fate/zero (2011) 3. Fate/stay night heavens feel movies I, II, and III Note: the Fate/stay night franchises are basically a same event but with different route or universe, therefore has different ending even has such a same start point of story. If you watch as above you should not be lost.
"start with final fantasy 1" that's possibly one of the worst ways to get into final fantasy. when you ask someone where to start they either answer: their favorite or to just pick one that looks cool (usually one of 4-10) it's WAY less complicated then what Nicholas tries to make it out to be
The only correct order i know of is watch fate zero, fate stay night. Now wait for 2 years and now see ubw and wait for another 3 years to see heaven's feel. You forget a lot and its just right.
Simple version : 1. Fate/Zero 2. Fate/Stay Night (it's up to you which one you want to watch. Stay Night 2006, Unlimited Blade Works, Heavens Feel? it's up to you, the story is the same just a different route) Apocrypha, Kaleid Linear, Extra, and Grand Order, those are all just spin offs but still canon. The main timeline is still on Stay Night

I'm gonna add my own piece of mind here. With some minor spoilers, though if you already don't want to get into fate, read at your own risk. It doesn't actually really matter which order you watch it. Either you watch Fate zero first then be like "oh that's kiritsugu's son. Oh cool Shirou summoned the same servant as his dad. Oh hey that's the d*** archer who had a hard on saber. That's tokiomi's daughter" and already know sabers identity when you watch UBW; or you watch UBW first and be like "Oh so that's Shirou's dad. Holy hell his dad had the same servant. Is that Rin's dad? Oh hey that's the d*** archer shirou fought" and already know sabers identity when you watch fate zero. Pick your poison. Either watch zero first and treat UBW like a sequel or watch UBW first and treat zero like a prequel, like any other prequels and sequels that has ever f****** existed. You'll either get curious of what's gonna happen or get curious of what did happen. But since i actually watch the 2006 vers blind without any prior knowledge, left, came back for apocrypha, watched clips of the other spin-offs in between everything and read a good chunk of wiki info, take my advice with a grain of salt. I think the only reason i understood everything is because after fsn 2006 i went on and read like an entire decades worth of teen titans comics before getting tired of all the retcons and alternate earths. Anytime anything's different from the the one i knew before i just go "oh different timeline" and just go from there.
Nick somehow managed to pause like 35 times (yes I did tally) Nick if your reading this, you have a chronic illness, your doctors advise you move your hand away from the spacebar/LMB
Honestly its not that confusing a franchise people like gigguk just like overcomplicate for views and comedy. Its a multiverse with with a few different timelines. Start with the 2000s version of fate stay night. after that unlimited blade works which is route 2, then the third route is heavens feel which is a 3 movie deal. Then you can do fate zero. Apocrypha is an alternate history, Encore is its own thing related to the video games. Fate grand order is also another thing separated from the main series.
If you ever decide to watch Fate, start with Fate Zero. People will tell you it’s a prequel and it spoils stuff, but it’s the most accessible and better overall series.
Fate zero spoiling fate heavens feel isn’t really spoilers because it’s a literal prequel to heavens feel, ubw, and stay night for one, and two the spoilers are based around which characters are related to each other and it’s really dumb and isn’t really spoilers
It's a tragedy that people are directed towards Gigg's videos if they wanted to get into Fate, the guy deliberately over-complicate things and ruins some moments with 'jokes'. But of course this is onbrand with them. While this vid is a month+ old, and I doubt Nic comes back to read the comments, here is a better video that simplifies FGO (And the basics of the other series) "A Beginner’s Guide To Fate/Grand Order Babylonia" by AniNews
Yes, you look like you read some authors like Simon Sinek or Rick Riordan :V I get my friends to start in this order: Fate/Zero -> Fate/Stay Night UBW -> Fate Grand Order Babylonia and then go see whatever one you feel like it
It doesn't matter if you watch first Fate/Zero or Stay Night UBW... both series are great and you could say that they are the main ones and the rest you can watch after these two ;p Both are peak.
It doesn't matter because both are wrong. The startline of Fate has and always been the Visual Novel. Ignoring that is the cause of the confusion. The "correct" order is the Visual Novel followed by anything else. This is due to a huge majority of them are set in different timelines, they aren't direct sequel or prequel to others, this includes Fate/Zero as well. Only a few titles actually need to go through another title other than the Visual Novel first before jumping in.
Start at Fate/Zero, frankly you won't realize the spoilers until you already watched heavens feel and had a few days for it to settle in your brain anyway so it's not really a spoiler.
To clarify, the big spoiler is one dark turn that's equally shocking no matter in which series you stumble upon it, so that is safe to ignore. Fate as a whole is a mess and there is some questionable Fate content out there, but Zero, Unlimited Blade Works and Heaven's Feel are all excellent and can be enjoyed without prior knowledge, the rest is a bit more hit or miss (though I haven't watched everything). Grand Order has a reputation of being a sinkhole for your money, but if you've got more mental strength than a gold fish, it's not actually a problem. I've been playing the game on and off for three years now and haven't spent a cent on it. The story can be enjoyable (imagine a historical time period going totally off the rails, for example the hundred year war, but an army of dragons attacks, or the american civil war, but it's between celts that spawn like Orcs in Warhammer and robots), but the dialogue can be a bit too Japanese (I struggle to find a better way to describe it) and you've got to keep in mind that your dialogue choices don't matter.
It's simple, if you want to watch Stay/Night series the order is Unlimited Blade Works > Heaven's Feel with Fate Zero being a prequel you can argue being first or last. The spin offs are their own thing and don't require any watch order outside their season order (Extra has a play order for the games but they were released in order so hardly difficult to figure out), outside of FGO's animes as they follow the order of events of the game so best watched in that order. Dunno why people act like it's complicated, it's a franchise with many series but you don't need to watch them all in any particular order outside of the Stay Night series of animes.
Thank you, I know the Fate order is kind of a meme, but this exaggeration sometimes pushes people away from starting the series and it's stupid because the order is not even that hard
People really like to over complicate the fate watch order, it aint that confusing as the majority are just all spinoffs from different universes that u dont have to watch if u dont want too, you can just watch the main trilogy and grand order

exactly this is how i watched it
Fate Zero first? Imma puke
I started with UBW then Fate Zero
@@thomasdowney4390 I just gonna answer with short version of it
She ain't a Artoria Lily from Fate Grand Order.)
Again, you can ignore the point 5, its just my personal rant lol.
Bruh the meeting of Kings in Fate/Zero is so damn good
Doesen't rlly make sense to me how watching 5th Holy Grail War first will help u understand the 4th Holy Grail War, then again, same can be said the other way around, overall Fate timeline is a bit fcked up, so each part completes the other
@@ManOfCulture6969 Maybe because Fate Zero is written in mind that you already watch the 3 routes? I mean it's a PREQUEL after all.
@@akaguda8680 makes no sense chronologically if you actually think about, it makes no sense to learn about future event and get a glimpse of past, and then watch past afterwards
@@ManOfCulture6969 is written in mind for those who wondered what happened in the previous war the Readers of the og visual novel all plot points that appeared in stay night are spoiled by fate zero, even Fate Zero's author said that before reading fate zero you should know fate stay the night and even then the fourth grail war in Fate Zero is just another timeline altogether.
4:13 I will be using this quote in the future
If you capable of understanding the whole marvel multiverse thing i dont think you will be confused with fate
Tell him Fate Zero - Heaven's feel are animated by Ufotable and he'll be like '' I gotta watch this show man''
Idk why so many fate fans try to make the series seem hella confusing, it's actually very easy to understand but so many people try to make it sound more complicated than it actually is
Yeahh.. Lol.
It’s because on the surface level, it’s relatively easy to figure out. Once you dive in a bit deeper is when it gets very complex. At least that’s my opinion.
Guys, let us make him enter the Fate rabbit hole
Short version: Play the Visual Novel. Then Zero. Then anything else in any order. If you don't want to play the Visual Novel, then YOU'LL GET SPOILED NO MATTER WHERE YOU START, so start with anything you want (except Heaven's Feel, watch this only after Unlimited Blade Works).
Short short version: Play FGO. Fuck continuity. Watch whatever you want in any order you want afterwards. Everything will make sense at this point anyways.
"Servant list? I want these servants."
Also him: "I ain't playing that f**king garbage"
Fateシリーズに困惑してるニック面白すぎる😂
This is why you have to watch “the garden of the sinners” first.
Rejoice, boy. Your wish at last come true.
Nick: Do I look like I can READ?!
Me: ...you DO read the subs do you?
Gigguk have the short-long version of this.
This dude just reacted to 30 sec in 2 minutes ??? And i paused the video for another 30 just to calm my self, AND SOMEHOW ALWAYS FIND MY SELF COMING BACK TO HIS VIDEOS
Can't wait for the long version 😊😊
Oh god it's the short version
He’ll never understand
@@andreasjensen6617 do anyone though?
@@STORYSEEKER1if you have more than 2 brain cells then there's no problem with Fate and nasuverse as a whole
@@Habenyan42069 well I can't really comment on this kind of subject since my first fate series is Fate Stay night and then I watch Fate Grand Order :v
@@STORYSEEKER1 that's how it should be , watch what you want and how you like it
Meanwhile one piece:
Where to start? Episode 1
Where to end? Episode 1072
when you think about it, rugrats will spoil heaven's feel
hence now you must watch every opening
My man can't name 10 books
The only reason why it's so hard to get into Fate is because the anime adaptations came out in a super confusing order. The original game tells the full story, with all the details in the most optimal order, that's why people say u should start from the game.
Gotta start with Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya. No other choice.
No....but that would be interesting ngl
Based
UBW was top tier animation. Love it
It's not complicated. Fate is like Marvel or DC. You start anywhere.
heres the order i watched all fate stuff in
1. fate/zero
2. fate/stay night unlimited blade works
3. fate/stay night heaven's feel 1,2,3 ( movies )
after that you can watch in any order tbh
1.fate/aporcrypha
2. fate/grand order The movie divine realm of the round table camelot wandering
3. the above movies 2nd part
4. fate/grand order first order ( movie )
5. fate/grand order absolute demonic front: Babylonia
6. fate/grand order final singularity grand temple of time : solomon
after all this you can watch
1. fate/strange fake
2. fate/lost encore
3. Lord El-Melloi II's Case Files: Rail Zeppelin Grace Note
then theres
1. fate/kaleid liner prisma illya and it's sequels
2. carnival phantasm
3. fate/grand carnival
4. today's menu for the emiya family
First time I've seen someone just simply give a solid watch order instead of making it difficult, thank you for this 🙏
you can't really be spoiled since you don't even know wtf is going on at first.
the people who say you get spoiled by watching (insert whichever of the three here) first are looking it from the perspective of someone who watched all 3 already
The two possible starting points are Fate Stay Night: Unlimited Blade works(2011) and Fate/Zero. Flip a coin and watch one, the rest can be watched in pretty much any order now that you're invested.
It’s really simple just watch whatever strikes you first your gonna watch them all anyways
Hey that is hell that you're walking into....(and i never regret following this franchise since the VN era)
Just watch the series that appear on your screen first 😂😂😂
I did that and watched fate unlimited blade works of ufotable.
I loved it
I mean if u dont care about lore then go ahead, u can start with Heaven's Feel too
short answer: there is no understanding the fate series
Look for the long version man, it's worth it.
That's hell your walking it to
imma just put it in simple man terms and say start with Ufotable Unlimited Blade Works --> Fate/Zero --> Heaven's Feel, in that order.
after that just do whatever tf you want. it ain't that complex to start, people just like to think it is
Stumbled upon this vid since it's recommended.
Idk if he has some issues in the head or just unable to listen or think this is a video supposed to make fun of the fate series' biggest flaw
Either way, I think this was not the 'transformative' kind of reaction video
here's my take on this nick, you only need to know about the general premise about the show (Holy Grail War stuff) then you can jump into Zero/UBW
I’m liking these gigguk reactions
I’ll be waiting for that Hey Arnold reaction
I lost my 1 remaining braincells
Watch order:
1. Fate/stay night unlimited blade works season 1 and 2 (2014)
2. Fate/zero (2011)
3. Fate/stay night heavens feel movies I, II, and III
Note: the Fate/stay night franchises are basically a same event but with different route or universe, therefore has different ending even has such a same start point of story. If you watch as above you should not be lost.
"start with final fantasy 1"
that's possibly one of the worst ways to get into final fantasy.
when you ask someone where to start they either answer: their favorite or to just pick one that looks cool (usually one of 4-10)
it's WAY less complicated then what Nicholas tries to make it out to be
Now you gotta see the larger version lol
there is no end. Honestly best starting place is probably unlimited blade works, the VN,or Fate grand order (basically the big fate crossover)
The sad thing is if you actually take the plunge into Fate everyrhing he said makes sense lol
Now watch his 30 minute video explaining fate which is really just the medium version
The only correct order i know of is watch fate zero, fate stay night. Now wait for 2 years and now see ubw and wait for another 3 years to see heaven's feel. You forget a lot and its just right.
Simple version :
1. Fate/Zero
2. Fate/Stay Night (it's up to you which one you want to watch. Stay Night 2006, Unlimited Blade Works, Heavens Feel? it's up to you, the story is the same just a different route)
Apocrypha, Kaleid Linear, Extra, and Grand Order, those are all just spin offs but still canon. The main timeline is still on Stay Night
OK, Now he HAS TO watch Fate.
He really should just watch UBW. If he likes that then we can get him to watch Zero and OG Fate.
Short version? Fine by me!
Cronologycal order:
Fate/zero
Lord El-Melloi II's case file
Fate/stay night
Fate/stay night - unlimited blade works
Fate/stay night - heaven's feel
Emiya's home made cooking
Carnival Phantasm
Fate/prototype (just 1 special)
Fate/Apocrypha
Fate/Kaleid lyner prisma Illya(but I suggest the manga)
Fate/Extra last encore
Fate/Grand Order - first order
Fate/Grand Order - divine realm of the round table (2 movies)
Fate/Grand Order - demonic front Babylonia
Fate/Grand Order - grand temple of time Solomon
Fate/Grand Order - moonlight lostroom
Fate/ Grand Carnival
And now they're doing the anime of Fate/Strange fake
Mind you, these are only anime. If I were to put games and light novels it'd be longer
Imma have to take a screenshot of that
Fate doujin is the only way man the sigma way😂
@@kcknowshowtoplay4302
Please don't, the series is a bunch of branching timelines, there literally isn't even a chronological order.
Go [Deen FSN (optional)] > [Ufotable UBW] > [Heaven's Feel] > [Anything that isn't Last Encore which *requires* playing the PSP game to be even remotely understandable]
Fate/stay night REMASTERED
Insanely based take on Star Wars, appreciate it very much!
if we would watch it ...and if ..he would drop it 😂
In reality, it isn't that complicated.
Watch fate Zero, then unlimited blade work, and lastly heavens' feels.
Don't stress it, it doesn't matter.
6:49 Perfect Timing
if you wanna try and watch fate. dont worry about lore or spoilers or anything. just pick a series and enjoy the fights. you can pick up the rest from there if you like what you see
The amount of pause😭🙏
Damn you are 4 years late where we're you my man when he first did that video😂 at this point i graduated, married and retired
Oh, wait till he sees the long version. Everything will than definitely be super clear and clean in his mind as someone who hasn't watched fate yet.
Anyway, fate Zero reaction soon I hope :)
In addition, we have another different universe which is the FGO and there is Alteria in a class of caster, berserker, lancer, assassin…
Bigginer Brain 💣💣💣
Nick somehow managed to pause like 35 times (yes I did tally) Nick if your reading this, you have a chronic illness, your doctors advise you move your hand away from the spacebar/LMB
bro should have went for the long version
The best way to watch fate is stay night, ubw, heavens feel then zero after that you can just watch any of the other series
Oh, he did! He did watch it, hahahahaa!
So basically just watch whichever one you want because you aren't here for the story anyways
The first mistake was trying to understand a series from someone who doesnt actually know anything at all
Learning about Fate from Gigguk is like taking financial advice from the garbage man
I see wise words in the comments section ☝
Yes, you look like you read some authors like Simon Sinek or Rick Riordan :V
I get my friends to start in this order:
Fate/Zero -> Fate/Stay Night UBW -> Fate Grand Order Babylonia and then go see whatever one you feel like it
I watched season 1 long ago and I remember nothing about it... Guess I'll rewatch it
外国語だからよく分からなかったけど、彼はFate作品の多さに混乱しているように思えました。複雑に考えずアニメを見るだけでいいです。私たちはこの動画を見ずに先にFateのアニメを見ました。
Ayo nah he had me rollin my ass off here 1:59 , 3:00 , 9:49
FACTS!! THIS IS FACTS 4:11
Bro I think we just have to watch all Fate parts because after finishing all of them, we still can not set it in a timeline :))))
Fate series is one of my favorite animes!! I started from fate zero! If you like Fantasy or cool battle anime, this is very good!
bro didn't even mention Grand order
Long version please🙇
