2:09 Legoshi is so nervous you can actually see his whole body trembling, even down to the tiniest movements in his eyes and lips. It's little details like this that make me love this show so much.
｢2人きり｣じゃなくて、｢2匹きり｣って言ってた所が「あ、細かいなぁ」って思った。これだけじゃないけどほんとこのアニメ作り込まれてる

juno is such a good character I'm sad that she was treated poorly as a character in the mangas, but at least she will find a very fine person soon.
She became the Yamcha of the series. I won’t be surprised if the manga had a sequel and she will just be used as the butt of everybody’s joke.

Rui is the actual name the mangaka intended, Louis is just a traduction. But yeah, they messed up bight time with Haru's name

@@Thefoxthatbecameawolf Itagaki named Louis after the fashion line Louis Vuitton. The "R" is a complication with Japanese pronunciation. Much like "Yuria" or "Yurian" instead of "Julia" or "Julian." It's definitely supposed to be pronounced "Loo-ee" Like king Louis.

Ok but the part where he says she could hold his tail if she ever felt anxious is really cute even if it is a friend zone
Plus it doesn't feel like Legosi was trying to friendzone Juno, he seemed oblivious to her feelings and for a socially anxious guy like him that's quite the generous offer to someone he barely knows.

I think it's spelled "Legosi" inspired by the 30's actor, Bela Lugosi(Itagaki Paru found the man cool and decided to name her main character similar to him), and the Japanese alphabet doesn't have the "si" sound, only the "し" which is read as '_shi_' that's why they pronounce his name that way. Some fans just pick it up and I can't blame them. I pronounce Legosi as 'Legoshi' in my brain just because it sounds cool HAHA.
For Haru tho, I haven't heard or seen anyone call her "Hal" but again, the japanese alphabet doesn't have the L sound only the る('Ru') sound(It's similar to Louis' name, they think it's 'Rui')

@@marin0the0magus You do realize in japanese there would never be a "si". Legosi is the english translation. But in japanese it would be れごし. Which in romaji would be Legoshi. So they the translator's weren't wrong there.

I feel like people will warm up to her in Season 2
I like Juno as a character. She has more than one side to her. She isn't just that precious schoolgirl trope, but neither is she a mean egoistical dreamer. She is determind to find her place, to make the world better for her kind, carnivores. At least she respects a fair game, rather than just literally fighting Louis for the title of Beastar. So far, at least, that is how I view her. I'll like seeing more of her. Even if she _can_ be a bit rude at times. She must accept that Legosi isn't interested in her. It's part of life to have your love rejected. And don't bring Haru into it.
So Juno is a great character. She has flaws, but isn't a bad person. She has good traits like anybody else. Really, she just needs to use her skills in the right place for a good cause. Also, about the manga, I kind of read it for free on a website... And from my understanding, Juno seemed to have a bit of a self-esteem issue about her curly fur. She admired Legosi's fur. I myself can relate to looking in the mirror and feeling like somebody else is much prettier.

She's better developed in the next arc for sure. Probably since there's more attention for her?

Of course, this face is a typical anime trope, but it somehow adds to it.

Remember kids, as the creator said in translation memes herself, the only tragedy is Juno's love life!
Which works as a moral against wanting something too bad and treating the person you're in love with as a prize to be won with no agency of their own.
Juno naively thinks just by wanting Legosi hard enough that she is entitled to him. She threatens Louis and intimidates Haru and refuses to respect Legosi's feelings or decisions. She is the female equivalent of Gaston from Beauty and the Beast - minus the attempted murder.

JUNO is in love pretty much works for the entire romance aspect in beastars
I think that's the point of her character - how you cannot expect to get something just from wanting it hard enough. That and beauty can hide a beastly side, namely the malice she shows to Haru and Louis because she wants to be the next Beastar and to be with Legosi. Though I know this changes later.
