The irony is that Qing is not a Classical Chinese dynasty as it was founded by the Manchu people after the collapse of the Ming dynasty, and enforced many of their own nomadic traditions on the Chinese(e.g. keeping the queue, pointy mandarine hats, etc) so it would be equivalent to having the Ottomans modernise Byzantium

I imagine a constitutional monarchy Qing Dynasty China in modern day would be like the UK, but much more grander. A history older than much of the european royals, beaten only by Rome. They would have intricate cultural ceremonies like the Japanese Emperor, but much more grand since China is an ancient world power, even though the Qing Dynasty is more recent and Manchu, they would still be able to claim the heritage of China. Some modern day chinese might complain about how the monarchy is not Han chinese, but manchu, just like British people complain the British monarchy is actually German blood. What a sight the chinese monarchy ceremonies and palace visits in modern day would be though.
I believe common sense and sanity check on all information is very important whether it fits ones interest or not. The WORD "china" is recent word created during "Chung/Qing/Sinna" dynasty. So what is "old" chinese/who?. For relevance read Manchu History by manchu and read what surname of chinese emperor mean during Chung Dynasty. This shed more light on recent kingdom and history of people living in territory called china today. China today is of non-hanchinese.
@radar1937 Is that because they were foreigners? You think the previous Ming Dynasty was any better in the end? Every Chinese dynasty, even though many started off strongly and well-run, went rotten in the end.
Err i dont understand what you just typed. Please clarify again. I understand and agree with the possible recent event in the creation of the word 'China'. However as soon as it was defined, the terms 'classical' and 'old' chinese were defined independently and non linearly of the original definition of China. Also why is China non hanchinese? According to Shiji, there was the defeat and migration of xia dynasty from the guanzhong + zhong yuang area to modern ...

I'm sad China isn't this awesome anymore.
King of the Anals and the Fist Men Are you serious? The Qing was worst dynasty in China. Ws so bad that China became republic. If Ming was still in power you would see the real China.
King of the Anals and the Fist Men
I agree. China should be a Monarchy but not the Qing as rulers. The Ming Dynasty are the rightful heirs of the Chinese empire throne.
yea its just a commie wasteland filled with pollution, a hatred for imperialism despite the fact that they ironically do stuff like that a lot, and over all i hope the communist Chinese government dies a painful death within the next few years
Weilord Bubblebath Wei Yeah but at least they had a culture. Modern China has no culture
The Republican Chinese Era was better and was almost effective had the communist gotten destroyed by 1935

China today is of non-hanchinese.
i never think i am a pure han even though i am a han. I only think i am a Chinese.
What meaning I may ask? ROC? Republic of China is shorten as ROC, PRC is People's Republic of China. Some are wrong about PRC as PROC.
what is the footage from.
bytheway I thought it was awesome!!
Which movie was this?
Betty Boop It might be 'Towards Republic", that's my best guess.
+OrthodoxofUSA You guessed right, I just saw this part in "Towards the Republic"
+Qizhi Zhang What episode?
In thy Googleth translate Translation, thy Translateth one Line as "China welcomes mallard matter algae"
Why did Sun Yat Sen..founder of China wanted to get rid of Qing(Manchu) dynasty? cuz it wasn't Han.
@radar1937 Is that because they were foreigners? You think the previous Ming Dynasty was any better in the end? Every Chinese dynasty, even though many started off strongly and well-run, went rotten in the end.
wow a 2006 video
Err i dont understand what you just typed. Please clarify again. I understand and agree with the possible recent event in the creation of the word 'China'. However as soon as it was defined, the terms 'classical' and 'old' chinese were defined independently and non linearly of the original definition of China.
Also why is China non hanchinese?
According to Shiji, there was the defeat and migration of xia dynasty from the guanzhong + zhong yuang area to modern ...
What makes Mandarin a language and Cantonese a dialect? Max Weinreich, a linguist of Yiddish, which is sometimes considered a dialect of German, quoted: "a shprakh iz a dialekt mit an armey un flot" (a language is a dialect with an army and a fleet). Do you know any other way of distinguishing Language from Dialect?
Where is this clip from?
amcgreagor A TV show named "Way to Republic"
Long live the qing
Yes, prejudice still happens with every kind of people anywhere. Many governments even encouraged that.
I would just rate down these hostile comments about the videos rather than cursing back. I wouldn't waste my time and my mind with ignorant people.
