I agree with the first part. But useless to have a ps1 if you have a 2, no. We had a modded ps1 that could play burned games. The ps2 couldn't, and we weren't about to pay someone all over again to also mod that.

Ps5 barely has any games worth the upgrade. Ps4 runs a bunch of games very well. Ps4 was a return to sonys greatness and its not ging anywhere. They are still releasing titles and with external storage you can back up your digital titles.
Some of mine don't work properly. Takes multiple times of downloading and reinserting the game. Only like 3 or 4 out of like 50 plus physical ps4 games I have, have that problem
I would get a second PS4 just for the future. I have 3 PS2's. I should get one more PS3. I want the 5 with disc drive, but I believe the 6 will have no disc at all.
For me the magic is gone. Probably be my last time supporting both consoles. In hindsight, why would I ever have picked up an X when I already have a PC to play on. There's literally no reason for me to have their console other than I do use it to play with a friend of mine who's just being a luddite and won't invest in a PC. On the flip side with Sony I've played barely any of their games as I simply don't have interest in a bulk of what they're offering. Part of that was the price increase and I thought to myself that I'd just wait and buy it later but when later comes I don't want to play those games at all.
I've got a PS4 and plan to keep it, but PS5 kind of makes it redundant, right? Every PS4 game plays on 5 and probably runs faster and better too. So I have wondered to myself why I'd play anything on 4 when the 5 is right there.
I don’t think the PlayStation 4 is worth keeping. The information that’s on the ps4 disc isn’t always complete. What do you do when you can’t download any patches, or updates? To me the ps4 isn’t any different than the ps5. The ps4 isn’t even backwards compatible. It makes a great door prop. It’s best to collect consoles that allow you to play games straight away than download and wait. Just my opinion. The ps4 and 5 make great entertainment processors for apps such as Netflix and Hulu.
only sell your ps4 if you're going to get a ps5 pro and disc drive, unless you have some of the ps4 games that won't run on a ps5. PS5 is a better ps4 after all. Unlike the ps3 there's no reason to hang onto it aside from that because its redundant. But sony is basically flopping with the ps5 and its lack of exclusives. NO telling if the ps6 will be better (though its highly probable). OR if it will also play ps4 and 5 or either. Do you NOT know that you can insert ps4 games and install them on a ps5 Y2K Collector? And unlike ps5 games you can also transfer them to a external to save room for ps5 versions to be on the nvme. PS4 can be played from external, ps5 can not on a ps5. Its the game library of a ps4 that is valuable not the hardware so much. Remember the ps5 is making up for the ps4's architectural choice made by sony. Another thing you just don't understand.
Theres actually quite a few ps4 titles that do not work correctly on ps5. Or they run with input lag. I have 1 of them with project diva (the one with 250 songs) for ps4. It runs on ps5 but with input lag due to the backward compatability layer. Hence. Not so playable for rythmn gamers like myself trying for any hard or extreme or above. I am glad i kept my ps4 pro for my psvr 1 stuff. It ended up being very useful in situations like that.
@@Ozzhiroth Interesting, there should be a wiki for ps4 games that have issues on ps5 despite working. But the point still stands, a LOT of ps4 games will run better on the ps5 and thus it is redundant. Many ps4 games give a improved version or at least improved experience on a ps5 though. Rthym games aren't a genre i really like though. And a ps4 pro would be the ideal ps4 to keep for cases like that and those ps4 games that won't run on a ps5.
Too late I sold mine over a year ago bec I can play os4 games on my p5 that’s the only reason tho but yeah I shouldn’t keep it but it got me a lot off the ps5!

You can, 99% of the catalog works on PS5
What's the point in keeping a PS4. The PS5 is a PS4. It's obsolete.
I think it's worth grabbing if you can jailbreak personally
But you can play the games on ps5, if you have one
only sell your ps4 if you're going to get a ps5 pro and disc drive, unless you have some of the ps4 games that won't run on a ps5.
Looking forward to newer consoles is silly lol
Ps6 will have no games either
I just got a PS4 pro I love it
I still have my nintendo playstation from washington
I like the PS5 better than the PS4
I also have a PS4 Slim but I need to get a PS5 to stay future proof.
Too late I sold mine over a year ago bec I can play os4 games on my p5 that’s the only reason tho but yeah I shouldn’t keep it but it got me a lot off the ps5!
PS4 is nice because the games are insanely cheap and you can jailbreak most models...also shadps4 emulation is maturing so dump those game files and sprx files
Every system gets more gay
I’ve bowed out of modern gaming, just not for me anymore. PS4 is the swan song. They’re so cheap and there are a ton of physical games to collect and last a lifetime
The ps4 still gets games and I got a ps5 but I still play ps4 because it's and great console and much more simple to use than ps5
Ps5 plays ps4 disks.
Hello to you Y2k collector
My PS4 sounds like a jet taking off when gaming on it. On the other hand my PS5 is whisper quiet and plays all the PS4 games as well so why would I want to keep the PS4?
It has web browser so there’s that
Anyone Hack a ps4 to play steam, android and PC games.
ps5 is a ps4 basically but looks ugly
Ps5 better
Have 2 an og ps4 that came with last of us and gtaV and the pro…but yol should sell yours to get that ps5 pro 😂…just bought my first ps5 game it was Diablo IV “brand new” for $10. GameStop opened it first and messed up the case…but it came with the dlc code😅
PlayStation has been insanely overrated since PS3.
so this must be a good time to buy one too then?
