Oh yes, great movie and great story (we read the book back in high school)! Grasse is definitely worth discovering with all its perfume related history, and the tourist office used to even have guided tours based on the “perfume” novel (not sure if they still do them)
There aren’t many hotels in Grasse, have a look for chambres d‘hote (bed & breakfast) Sorry, no recommendations (never looked for one as friends stay with us 😉) For a tour guide please check with the tourist office
Hi. I enjoy your videos while learning English and about the city of Grasse. However, I am not able to understand what you say in this part in particular. I would very much appreciate if you clarify what you say in the video. Thanks. 1:15 Grasse is a lot less posh than Nice (???) but it’s very charming in its own ways.
That‘s cool that you’re learning English through our videos! 👏 Just be aware that our English is far from perfect! 😅 The section you mention is supposed to convey that Grasse has its corners that are not so pretty, parts of the old town still need renovation. To us, that’s part of the city’s charm… it’s not just a fully touristy place (the main parts are touristy, no doubt)
@@rivierago Thank you so much for your prompt reply! One of my Japanese friends is living nearby Grasse now trying to get involved perfume industry. So I introduced your channel to her and she now enjoys it😆 We look forward to your future videos!
Hi! The perfumery featured in our video is Galimard, they do great workshops to create your own perfume. Fragonard and Molinard are the other 2 big perfumeries in Grasse. All 3 of them offer free guided tours - which are all worth doing! Not sure if they all do the perfume workshops… if so: they’re all going to be good, they are all very professional 🤩
During the day: completely fine! When it’s dark maybe don’t wander in the darker spots in the old town - that’s what people tell you, but we‘ve never had any issues at all
Creating your own perfume - how does that sound? Let us know if you've tried it already and what you thought!
Great wonderful, I'm creating my perfume ❤🎉
Obrigada!
What a wonderful posting and what lovely infectious smiles you have your enthusiasm is contagious. I really want to go to Grasse now.
🙏 you should go! 😄
@@rivierago I booked my air B&B last night and am booked in for 8 days in May. So looking forward to it! 🙂
Have the best of times!!!

@@geshi.channel cool, thank you! Good luck to your friend!
Which perfumeria is better Fragonard or Molinard if we want to take part in a workshop and looking around the factory?

Does the all the participants get a diploma? Is it a day course ?
Hi, yes, everybody gets the “diploma” as far as we know, but it’s just a fun thing, not an actual diploma… the course takes 1.5 to 2 hours. Have fun!
👍
is it safe for a solo female traveller?

The weird photo clicking thing really is jarring

@rivierago lovely video all the same. Thank you. I should have been less rude with my criticism. I cant wait to visit.
