Hey buckin, I've been subscribed for quite a while now and I don't usually write any comments but, I just wanted to let you know that your videos are really helping me get through a tough time in my life. I just wanted to take the time to say thank you and God bless! I'm forever a subscriber. P.S. - "Be kind" - buckin Billy Ray
Thank you Buckin and Kim. I can feel the love and positive energy every time I watch one of his videos. Thank you again for the kind words, it really means a lot!
Happy Sunday Buckin! Good to hear from you as always good sir! Buckin, don’t change the experience here one bit. The relaxation, learning and long content stories is what makes this channel the best!
Nice work Buckin. Bringing more people together I love it. Thank you everyone that comes here and supports Buckin on his adventure. You sharing your experience is priceless. Love ya brother. Thank you🌲❤️🌲👊🪓
your channel has always been more about teaching and part history. I have learned a ton. Keep talking and teaching. many can make videos of tree work but not a lot can teach it.
I have never cut trees down anywhere near the size of yours. You are the best I have ever seen and I have watched hundreds of your videos over the years. Your teaching has been so precise that I believe I could tackle one that size. All I would need is a powersaw and strength and the courage to do it and I would be set ❤️
What an awesome sight (& sound) when those huge trees come down! That 2nd one went right where you said it would - like the son-of-a-gun had eyes!...super impressive. I'm thankful for your interjections and "long-form videos", I'm not a fan of the shorts but I get why creators post them. Thank you so much for the tips - I'm still too scared (or smart) to cut one down myself tho, lol...someday 😊 ...so glad you're back on the stump, it's just great to watch!
But we I mean my brother and I...we started a business with one little put put saw, an no knowledge and now because of you we tip trees next to homes and do low impact harvesting...you made it possible for us to learn!!! Thank you... glad your back!!!!!
Buckin. I used your “old school climbing” technique yesterday. Had to climb a wild cherry to set a rope for a pull and used the tie in method you use to repel out to save me from having to spur back down. What a lifesaver. Thanks for all you teach and do 👍👍👍👍
I agree. That always seems to be a challenge for me getting that 2nd cut to line up. Watching these videos the past few years has helped me learn and help a few neighbors if they needed a tree brought down.
I just learned about checking your low side, scribing and finishing the cut. Cutting trees on my property a few weeks ago and screwed up the back cut by not being careful. Tree fell back on my saw. Fortunately I was able to wedge the tree down falling her where I wanted it. Lucky I’d say in hindsight. Thank you Bill. You take the time to show us the safe way. Great technique. Peace to you brother.
I really love the instructional style videos plus your attitude is awsome and I really appreciate seeing you fix the Dutchman I'm not a logger or anything i only cut for personal milling and fire wood and I got lots to learn and your videos really helped me out thank you for the content sir
Buckin I love your style of edutainment! Thanks for the interjections and explanations. Really helpful for those of us still learning to cut. Most importantly, you’re teaching us how to stay safe
Buckin, Thank you sir for the total honesty you have The lntegerty and skills . Loved the vids , It's always a pleasure to come to yer channel. Be safe Love Wins.
@16:30 "Tree cutters that come here, learn nothing." Been doing this a while and agree to disagree, my friend. I always pick up tips, and I'm blessed enough to pass our work on to a new generation. Grateful for your positivity and hard work, brother. Thank you.
16:20 I TOTALLY AGREE!!!! I hate it when they edit out the full cutting process. I was so missing the BBR content when I was waiting for the PLAYLISTS. ❤❤❤❤
Hey Buckin, Thanks for the tips(raker depth when falling vs Limbing) I'll remember that. And thanks for the inspiration. Been climbing for close to 3 years now, I love it and I was thinking about it and a big part of that is because I got inspiration from you! Thank you
❤ I heard you mention Vanderhoof. Years ago my band played in Smithers and many other towns in British Columbia, as well as Alberta and Saskatchewan. Love your channel.
Hi Billy! Trev from Alaska, I am a bit new to the channel. Sorry had to tell you a little something about myself... have always learned by watching raw hands-on work and you are right Billy most youtubers i seen falling trees and working on and around lumber never show the 2 or 3 min or so of prosses everything... I can learn something just watching people working... thank you Billy I learned some key stuff watching some of the vids I seen.... because lets be honest, always have room for learning.....
Some time ago you probably did way bigger trees. I can’t anymore. I’m 65, my shoulders elbows and my wrists are used up my knees are fine. I got a dickered ankle. Brother, love ya 💪😎👍🏻🙏🏻
That interesting story on the Paris boots I looked them up myself. At there history the boot your buddy had looked nice I liked the stitching on the side and the back wear your heal would go 👍😎
Buckin..... good ta see yer wing is gettin stronger. Easy hoss....Easy.... I'm 63 and listen youngster it takes a minute or two once we tweak something after 50.... facts not fiction.... Easy young fella.... easy
I appreciate you spending more time teaching. I get your fear, but let’s be honest guys like me have been and will continue to fall trees. We have to, and man, the stuff I got away with before I got on YT and learned the basics was scary! I mean slash cutting trees 6-8” in diameter-no undercut, just peel cutting basically. No concept of tension or compression. Just working on pure intuition and a dull chain. And the worst dutchies you’ve ever seen! Didn’t know it mattered. Just thought it had to go in the direction of the notch. So thanks.
Hey, Buckin! I was really surprised to glimpse a "chainsaw" key holder hanging on your car's mirror! I have the European version - A plastic Stihl saw key holder on my old Mercedes!
Finally got to run my 361 some today. Muffler i built works great. Think she’s a little lean on the low jet still but saw ran great. New bar new chain. Hit the rakers. Full house. Man I feel good after running it. Got some nice rounds to split. Looking forward to splitting too. Nothing like swinging the ole double bit. Good day for sure. Not gonna lie thought I miss the oregon chain. For some reason I really like the skip tooth round ground then hit it with a square file and man that cuts so so nice. Super fast but very controlled. This was rs3 and I really don’t care to much for it.

Beautiful low stump, I did one yesterday almost as picture perfect on a really big locust in Oregon, had to cut it a little higher though.
Love it!!
Stay safe
