Voices of Lee I will Rise

The Voices of Lee at Temple Baptist. One of the singers had recently lost his sister to brain cancer. JJ sang this song at her service. It takes a lot of metal in a man to sing at a loved ones funeral.

Let me share a story about this song. My father passed away in 2013. A few days later I was driving through the American River Canyon near Auburn, CA, and I had a vision, and it was my father arriving in heaven and being greeted by his wife, who had passed away 27 years earlier. Now they were reunited. After they hugged, she excitedly said "Oh, come here honey, there's someone I want you to meet!" So he followed her, and she said "Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world!" Wow, that was so powerful I had to pull over to the side of the road and compose myself. When I pulled back onto the road, I turned on the radio, and "I Will Rise" was playing. I had to pull over again. I was overwhelmed. I spoke at my father's memorial service and shared this story and sang the chorus of the song. It's was pretty emotional.
