Mmmm... malted milk powder. Nom nom nom. My mom used to keep a box of Carnation instant breakfast in the cupboard over the stove. If I overslept, breakfast was 30 seconds away. Pour a glass of milk, rip open the paper packet, dump and stir. Those things taught me to go to bed, right early!
usually drink like these are consumed like desserts. Even though its labelled "cereal milk" in English, these aren't meant to be a breakfast replacement, they're far too sweet!
@@danitho I think Carnation is a popular brand. Kind of like Ensure, I think, like a meal replacement shake? I see commercials for it from time to time.
Whenever we had Neapolitan ice-cream as a kid, the vanilla would always go first, closely followed by the chocolate - there would always be some strawberry left over in the tub!
Matthew I like your comment, the way you said it was from the heart! Mind if I ask where you're watching from? I'm watching from Delaware USA. Always have to get my fix of Atomic Shrimp
Judging from the noise it made when you shook the cans, there was quite a lot of space in the can for the liquid to slosh around. That is why there was quite a lot of foam as you open the cans. Perhaps you should have opened one can without shaking to see that it is pressurized or not.
tavit lertritsumpun I think the space is to allow it to be shaken up. When I poured out the last of the strawberry flavour (off camera), there were a couple of unmixed lumps at the bottom. I think maybe it needs a shake, then a rest for the bubbles to break down before opening
It's probably slightly pressurized, I'm assuming they flush the air space in the can with Argon or CO2 or something so that oxygen doesn't react with the milk in storage.
yeah i think adding a base like cereal to a milkshake basically makes a smoothie, so the choco and strawberry ones are basically smoothies.. the cereal likely enhanced their flavor instead of adding its own profile
Either Aldi or Lidl sold similar products, but in plastic bottles rather than cans. Not sure if they still do as there are no Lidl or Aldi near me now.
I guess that type of thin-walled aluminum can has to be pressurized for structural integrity, whether or not the drink is carbonated. With carbonated drinks, the pressurizing gas comes from the drink itself, but I wonder how they actually get the extra gas in there for non-carbonated drinks.
It's not called "Cereal Milk" but it's the same thing: Carnation Breakfast Essentials (fka Carnation Instant Breakfast) here in the states. They make flavors like Golden Grahams and Froot Loop in addition to the usual Chocolate, Vanilla and Strawberry. Edit: They are sold at Walmart
It's just a milkshake. I guess it's probably a bit heavy on sugar, but as part of a balanced diet, sure - it's got some vitamins, calcium, a little bit of protein...

Do you keep all your weird cans , when empty, a la Steve m.r.e info, for display purposes Because you could make a great little museum of the weird Oh yes and all your cans would be nice and burrr free and safe for interested children
When I go to the south east Asian shop I buy the weirdest drinks or desserts that I can find (most desserts are in packets which you have to add warm water and dried fruit and are often coconut milk based) it freaks my husband out, some of them have jelly in them or tapioca I actually like them but it’s fun to make him try them. The grass jelly isn’t nice though, but that’s only my opinion.
"Who's not gonna like chocolate flavour?" Me. I can't stand it. It's too artificial. I like real chocolate, but anything with that artificial chocolate flavour puts me off.
The fabled threecan.
Hurry while they last

The threecan symbol is phenomenal! Someone could tattoo that!
I'm never gonna find a use for the information I acquired watching this video, but I just don't care. Was well worth it.
When you're too lazy to eat cereal for the payoff of....cereal milk
Neapolitan cereal milk!
:P
Need more weird stuff!

Interesting. I was wondering if it was like "instant breakfast" in the US
@@ceejay3054 Instant breakfast? I'm American and never heard of that. Lol

I shot my hand in the air with excitement when you mentioned mixing them at the end, and to my horror you only mixed two! What if the third was key
Choc-berry is one of my favourite milkshake flavours!

I've officially watched enough weird stuff in a can to be recommended the one that apparently didn't do so well when it was initially released.

Maybe try putting a can in a paint mixer? ;)

Looks like a reasonably priced version of those other branded breakfast drinks like the Weetabix ones.

We have a similar drink here in Oz, except in a UHT box.

I wonder if this is the same as ‘up and go’ ‘breakfast drink’ sold in those little paper boxes with the straws.
Shame you didn't mix all three for a Neapolitan.
Ya gotta freeze em first.
You drank this incorrectly. It’s meant to be absorbed through your eyelids.
Milk made from cereal? Or milk for eating with cereal?
They look a lot like Nourishment, the bulking drink.
How is this not a thing in America???

NO
Cereal milk, for the parched Cereal Killer... :)
Explosive hiss!
Was you not supposed to put it over cereal ?
I don't think so. It has cereal in it.
😋😋😋😋😋😋😋
Lol I didn't know such a thing existed
While it sounds like a good idea, water and sugar as the two main ingredients seems rather unhealthy and not so nutritious.
Looks like melted icecream
Imagine if this was _actual_ cereal milk. Somebody would've had to eaten the cereal first. 🤮
This reminds me of ovaltine or malted milk powder.
