In Germany you can buy pumpernickel bread in a can for roughly 2€. Really tasty, if you are used to chew your bread (not meant as a slander or something, but in my experience many other countries prefer soft breads).
Soft white bread is poison garbage. So many people eat that stuff and drink canned soft drinks. I guess people don't understand the difference between actual food and other stuff that can be eaten.
The half value layer for gamma radiation from fallout is about 18 grams/cm^2. This stuff looks dense enough to sink in water and that can is pretty tall so it's probably at least a half value layer of stuff.
I love that kind of bread, usually gets the same type from Lidl. It's supposed to be sliced much thinner though, about half of what you did. Great with just butter, pickled herring or the classic and awesome danish "veterinarians night sandwich".
This is like the "workout" bread I buy in the States, basically a thinly-sliced, shelf-stable, German-style rye, sunflower seed, or pumpernickel bread. I don't like them "raw," but they get mighty tasty when you toast them.
I love that stuff, I was raised on pumpernickel and Polish rye bread as tough as boot leather. I think America has a good tinned bread. There is one famous bakery still making it 'B&M', and it's popular I believe with expeditionists and those weird prepper folk.

It's funny actually that some people think in preparing for the apocalypse that it's a smarter to spend money on this expensive and rather unpalatable canned bread that make their own bread with ingredients that can last for quite a long time

That canned bread may be a bit better if it was allowed to soak up a bit of water before eating. That same German company probably sells Canned Water as well. Chuck some moistened canbread + butter in the microwave and it would probably be quite acceptable.
Butter and cheese is a good idea for this kind of bread. Something I like to put on is blood sausage (refrigiated, you had it in another video) and some mustard.
You really need to add water to these things. Your mileage may vary how MUCH to add, since it's kind of like cooking at that point where you go with what you like, but you're supposed to add water.
