I told this story over on Matt's rant on this and I guess I'll share it with you too. I saw this for the first time today. Right before I watched it, a cousin of mine who I hadn't heard from in a while called me, asked me how I'd been, and told me that he'd seen this, and that it was a great movie... except for Ben Affleck. After this movie was over, I was so tempted to go over there and either give him an earful or just deck him in the face, one, for calling this a good movie and two, for saying Affleck was the only bad thing. To me, he was like the only good thing (but I didn't, because he became a dad recently and I didn't want to beat him up in front of his baby daughter). I agree with everything people say: it's overlong, boring, jumbled, and just a miserable clusterfuck to watch. Fuck it.

OcpCommunications I want yur opinion on this: Do u think there is a hypocrisy with the DIE HARD Dark Knight Trilogy and Man of Steel fans because u would think they would love Batman v Superman because it still has that overall tone and look from Christopher Nolan's movies and Man of Steel but for some reason they hate Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice? don't get me wrong, Batman v. Superman is a really bad movie but I don't see how it's any different from Nolan's Batman movies and Man of Steel. It has that same boring, confusing psychological and philosophical mumbo jumbo and corny realistic overtones that Nolan put in the Dark Knight Trilogy and Zack Snyder put it in Man of Steel. But I have no idea why other people criticize BvS: DoJ when they love those aforementioned movies. I know u said u kinda like Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and Man of Steel, but I'm talking about the Dark Knight Trilogy/Man of Steel RELIGIOUS FANATICS and the CULTISTS who believe those movies are without sin and can do know wrong and crucify anyone like me who doesn't like any of those movies and consider sacrilegious and blasphemous to talk bad about them. I think THEY ARE THE MOST biased and hypocritical fans out there. I'm not talkin about u whatsoever, just so we're clear. I think they have a lot nerve to bash Batman v Superman but they contradict themselves when it comes to Nolan's Batman films and Man of Steel. Overall, for myself, I don't any of the Christopher Nolan/Zack Snyder Batman & Superman films. I would really like to know what you think about this
I really have two main thoughts here. One, I'm just not cool with Superman and Batman killing people. And before someone does that tired ass "Hurr Hurr They did it in the comics and in other movies Hurr Hurr" let me just cut you off right there. First, you're repeating a talking point. It makes you seem simple. Secondly, yes. It's been done. And I have problems with it every time. When Superman killed the Kryptonians in Superman II, I had a problem with it. When Batman killed people in the comics and in the Nolan and Burton/Schumacher movies I had a problem with it. Just because it's been done does not mean it's okay. These are supposed to be inspiring figures. They're supposed to be aspirational and inspirational. Their morality should be superior to mine. And I don't believe in killing people. Yes, I know about war and all that. Clearly there are nuances but I don't think it's hard to figure out what I mean. They should value human life more than anyone else does. They should not be mass murderers. And they both are now. Especially Superman. He's a god on Earth. He should NOT take human life. When Superman starts killing people that's when it's perfectly legitimate to think he's a threat. He's the most powerful being on Earth and now he's taking people's lives in his own hands? How is that not fucked up? You could destroy the world and now you're deciding what lives are and are not worth keeping. That's scary. I hate this Superman just like most of the world apparently did. With good reason. This Superman is scary and NOT a hero. Two, I don't think they have to do it like Marvel. They could have started with Justice League if they wanted to and as long as it's good it would be okay. They also could have started out with BvS. Or made their movies standalones. Remember, this shared universe thing is a new concept. Marvel made it work but that is NOT the only way to do it. When we first found out about it a lot of people said it would not work and it would be a mess. Many of those same people are now saying DC needs to do it the same way Marvel did. So criticizing DC for not doing it like that is really just fear of change and that's all. We're used to the Marvel setup so that's what we're comfortable with right now. The issue is not that they didn't establish all the heroes beforehand. The issue is the movies are bad. If Marvel had just done Avengers and then spun off the characters, with all those movies being as good as they are, everyone would be saying that's the way to do it and nothing else works as well. It just doesn't make sense.
+Hezekiah Ramirez So just because people feel differently than you do and don't think Batman or Superman killing is that big of a deal, And they mention proof that it has happened before in the comics as well in other films, that their opinion is invalid to you? And stupid? Really? That's just unnecessarily rude and offensive. I am not repeating a talking point. I am stating facts. Batman did kill people before and has done it many times. So has Superman. You don't have to agree with them killing people. But to ignore the proof that they did just because you don't like it? That I do not understand and I never will. You can't just erase that and say it never happened. It did. No amount of revisionist history is going to change that. I have no problem with you disagreeing with me. It's what makes this world interesting. But I do have a problem with you talking down to me and acting like my feelings are invalid because they don't fall in line with the way you think. Yes, because it has been done before? It can be ok. To certain people. And to certain people it isn't. And that's fine too. But this is not one of those cases where it's not ok because you don't think it is. That's just completely discrediting and silencing the other side of the coin so to speak. As for Batman and Superman killing? Cops and soldiers kill when they have to. Doesn't make them immoral or bad people. That's how I view Superman and Batman. But honestly I don't care what Batman's moral compass is because he's a vigilante. Superman I do. He shouldn't have cloudy morals like Batman does. And if you ask me? He should only kill if it is absolutely necessary and he has no other option. So we agree and disagree there. And as for your Marvel argument? I don't understand it. If they started off with an Avengers movie without any character development whatsoever? It would be just much of a clusterfuck as Batman V. Superman was and it would be a bad way to start a franchise. There is a reason why no other franchise has started things off the way DC has done lately. Because it's completely ineffective. There is no guarantee whatsoever that Marvel's films after Avengers if they decided to make Avengers first would be anywhere near as good as they have turned out to be. And I do not remember anyone saying Marvel creating a universe piece by piece would not work. Iron Man only had one scene that was building the MCU and that was after the end credits. The rest of the film was completely stand alone and it's own movie. So it's not like Marvel started out from the beginning cramming everything into one movie in the first place. They built their foundation piece by piece just like you would a house. You don't build a house in a day. DC is trying to do that and to me it just doesn't work at all. But what has been proven to not work? Is cramming in tons of characters, and plot points into one movie. I.E. Spider-Man 3 and so on. You can only have so many working parts in a film. If you have too many? It doesn't work. It's not efficient or effective. There's a reason why machines only have the required amount of working parts in them. If you put anymore into it? The machine won't work properly. Because it is not designed to work with parts that it doesn't need. Films are similar to machines in my eyes. They both have working parts that need to work effectively and consistently in order to create a good movie. If any of these parts break? Or there are too many that cause things to break down? The film does not end up being good in my eyes. It can have elements where it worked and times where I did like it. But if it ultimately ends up as a broken product? That's not a film I want to see again, let alone pay for. Marvel's approach was effective and efficient, as well as logical. Throwing story line after story line into a film with no context is not logical to me. That makes no sense and it hurts your film too. It makes it muddled, confusing, and gives it no personal identity that it can call its own. And it does the story lines it crams into the film a disservice as well. I am not afraid of change at all. If DC's gamble paid off? And I thought the way they tried to build their world with Batman V. Superman worked out? I would be the first one to say so. But I didn't. I thought it was a mess. And I am not alone. It's not fear of change. It's just having a different opinion than your own. Just because I think this approach didn't work? Doesn't mean I am afraid of change. Those two things do not correlate with one another. Yes the films were bad in my opinion. But that is in large part due to the fact that they were not patient with their franchise building. Batman V. Superman is a prime example of this. If it was simply a more focused film? It would have been a lot better. But because it was crammed to the gills with world building elements, and tons of storylines that didn't really fit together? It's a bad film and a bad way to start a franchise let alone build a foundation. We agree to disagree. You are entitled to feel however you want to feel. But so am I. And neither one of us have to agree with anything that we choose to say to one another. That only happens if either one of us genuinely feels that way about our opinions. And if we disagree? That's fine too.
What do you think about Captain America Civil War? Did you think It was an improvement over the source material or do you think it's even worse than the comic? Just very curious to know since you hated the original comic Civil War.
OcpCommunications If there's one thing I can really say about Captain America Civil War, it's that Spider-Man's inclusion in the film IMO felt shoehorned. Take Spidey out of the film entirely and you wouldn't miss out on anything except maybe a joke or two. Nowhere near as good as Winter Soldier, but I thought it was alright. BTW I meant to ask if you think Marvel/Disney can benefit from buying back the film rights to the X-Men so they can put them into the MCU. You think you can do a Talking Cinema regarding the X-Men being part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe by any chance?

+lone wolf this video has less views than a lot of positive reviews...So what is your point exactly? If you liked the film? Cool. I didn't. So I made an honest rant on it. I didn't make this video for views or "to be cool". I made it because this how I truly feel, and I wanted to make it. So I did.
There's 4 or 5 good scenes in this movie and they are all Batman scenes or Bruce Wayne. After that shitty Superman movie they should have done Batman . In this Batman movie should have been all about Batmans years following the death of Robin . A older , violent darker Batman Hence the Dark Knight Returns . How you mix these two I don't know because Batman is older and Superman has just become Superman so you may have to do a time jump for Superman in the 3rd movie where He and Superman fight . Anyhow they fucked up because they wanted Marvel $
Something I also notice; those of us that hate this crap are more tolerant than those that love it, it seems their head so inside their ass, they just can't take criticism.
Amen, I'm glad I didn't see this clusterfuck of a film, this film is an insult and a disgrace to Batman & Superman. DCAU from 1992-2006 is far better and superior than this godawful piece of shit. Dawn of Justice has horrible casting decisions, horrible writing, horrible story and worst of all, Zack Snyder.

OcpCommunications I want yur opinion on this:
Do u think there is a hypocrisy with the DIE HARD Dark Knight Trilogy and Man of Steel fans because u would think they would love Batman v Superman because it still has that overall tone and look from Christopher Nolan's movies and Man of Steel but for some reason they hate Batman v.
I would really like to know what you think about this
so many great points bro
1:00:20 - 1:00:21 lol
This is another reason would like man of steel now. Because.... Bruh! That's how horrible it is!
MIKE OCP MAN YOU MADE ME LAUGH MY ASS OFF IN THIS VIDEO GREAT JOB MAN 😂😂😂
I really have two main thoughts here.
I haven't seen it yet. I am waiting till it comes out of home video.
OcpCommunications
If there's one thing I can really say about Captain America Civil War, it's that Spider-Man's inclusion in the film IMO felt shoehorned.
Black Panther was better than Batman in Civil War.
Dylan Via Fantastic Four rights?yes.Xmen rights?not anytime soon.
can you review all the "Karate Kid" movies that would be so cool.
Its a shame BvS debuted two DC icons together in a live action film that turned out to be a terrible film.
I love this movie. Each to his own I suppose.
0:00-:0:56 Great way to start it off ROFL!
2:32-2:51 Well said bro!

GAL GADOT WAS FUCKING AWFUL IN BATMAN VS SUPERMAN
I mean "a mouth full of greek salad"
so its cool to rant on batman vs superman as I see. rant on this movie and views will pile up.
+lone wolf this video has less views than a lot of positive reviews...So what is your point exactly? If you liked the film? Cool. I didn't. So I made an honest rant on it. I didn't make this video for views or "to be cool". I made it because this how I truly feel, and I wanted to make it. So I did.
Are you okay bro?
Most employers and business don't care about their customers or employees.
America needs trump to work properly?
GREAT RANT AND REVIEW ON BATMAN VS SUPERMAN OCPCOMMUNICATIONS 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Sack snyder is overrated 😂😂😂
gret job on thernt mike and i hated this piece shit film if ppl like the film thats cool your cool if they got a better script instead of batman vs superman fighting let ben afleck do a solo batman film i recommend superman christer reeve 1 2 and 3 or batman and batman returs over this lol or hell i rather watch heath ledger as the joker again than watch this lol this film can play with your emotions
